THE WORSTTTTT FOOD EVER !!YES CAPITAL LETTERS. YES, I'M SO DISAPPOINTED !! ...tastes like cardboard, burned oil, tasteless gravy, horrible ingredients. I was afraid about the service but it ended up being fine. The lady was nice. I don't know what kind of chef they have... Go somewhere else !!!

PLEASE READ OTHER REVIEWS before going there. One reviewer said "From the second I stepped through the door, I felt like I was a problem more than a patron." Other said that don't come here unless you want to be treated like a garbage. We experienced both. Thankfully we didn't eat there as she told us to leave. Turley worst customer service. Probably bad food too as no one one was there at peak lunch hour.

Rude owners, one table had customers and told us only take out only at 1 pm. Worst customer service.

I might be generous rating a three for this restaurant. From the second I stepped through the door, I felt like I was a problem more than a patron. The food was okay but a very small portion. The way it was spiced was very odd too like it was almost buttery and not at all what I ordered. Do not plan on returning.Vegetarian options: Just a couple of options on entire menu. Do not get the feeling they would be willing to modify other items to make vegetarian.Parking: Two reserved spots in front of store.

Been coming here for years. Food still so good as always. The owners are so nice although people think they're not. They're blunt but i'm used to them so it doesn't bother me. Lol.

Went here with a large group and had a very good time. The crispy gau gee was amazing, highly recommend. Also the walnut shrimp was super tasty. The waitresses/hostesses were very funny and nice. I can see how some people may find them rude because they are somewhat blunt but in a funny way.

Too much fat left on the chicken. Not much chicken. My kung pow chicken didn't have much kung and certainly didn't have much pow.

This review is about service. The owner decided not to take any responsibility for treating a family so poorly, calling us names and spreading misinformation. Imagine being a mother feeding her baby in the car and seeing someone yell at your husband and elders. When I came in, I checked on my dad, who was recovering from surgery. They could have said "those tables are not available" but instead, they mocked him for being weak and asked where he was from. Your point about being hard working immigrants fall flat with comments like that. Of course I was going to ask if everything was okay, I was worried what might happen in front of baby. This was considered "arrogant and rude", according to the owner. Regarding parking, I would suggest the business owners ask people if they will be eating at their restaurant before yelling at them. We did not go to any other businesses in the shopping center and explained that we had reservations. Instead of asking, apologizing or being kind, they proceeded to be condescending. We love to support mom and pop establishments, which is clear from my reviews. Jon Matsubara is a celebrity now but he's a hard working local boy who went from dishwasher to Michelin star chef. He gained national recognition, yet their family business stays kind and humble, serving the community. Don't look down on local people and food. If yelling and insulting paying customers does not make it seem like there is a problem, please, by all means, continue your successful business practices that have earned one star reviews and an empty restaurant. The true reason you denied the request to move tables is because you wanted to give the illusion that your restaurant was full when, in reality, there was nobody there. The only arrogance here was your own decision to treat Chinese elders and babies poorly during the holidays, then double down on that mean behavior in your response. Friends, you can see that this is clearly an unprofessional response to negative service experience but that is what you can expect from this establishment.

The food here is amazing! It was so delicious the one thing I always have to get is their crispy gao ji. Whenever I am in the area I have to always stop by here. If you love fried food their gao ji is a must! Especially with the sweet and sour sauce. I visit high schools near by and we always get them food. From time to time, I spoil them more by getting 8 orders of Gao Ji. The students always ask for us to bring more! It was a very good incentive to have them come to school. The workers here were very nice and straight to what I need! They recognized me the more I went and asked if I was getting gao ji. When I needed to bring potluck items I'd also bring gao ji and everyone loves it! It has a nice crunch, and also has a lot of meat inside! So ONO!! The mom of the store always greets me with a smile, and of course when I bring my friends in she is always so welcoming to them as well! Everything is all cleaned and sanitized and I would come again! The cooks do an amazing job! I've also had their cake noodles that were sooo gooood!!! But as always. Getting the Gao Ji is a must! It'll bring families and teenagers together!

Called in my order and they let me know 20 minutes. So 20 min later my food was ready to go! I ordered the dinner combo plate and the mixed plate A and it was a hit. Everything was tasty and good. I would say portions are small compared to your normal Chinese take out standards. I wouldn't say anything was spectacular but everything in general was good. There are about 8 dine in tables if you choose too, on a weekday when I went there were about 2 parties eating for dinner.

I have been in the food service business in Honolulu for 35 of my 50 years in Hawaii. I have managed fast food to fine dining over those years. My wife is a local Chinese gal who is a great cook as well.We love Chinese food and have not eaten at OnOn in years. We tried it again on 12/28/23. I ordered beef broccoli on crispy cake noodles . The noodles were not crispy and the flavor was weak needing soyu mustard which still did not have enough flavor. We then had the steamed fish which was claimed to be Sea Bass. Over cooked and dry. We also ordered crispy chicken. That wasn't fresh and also dry.The final dish was stuffed Tofu no flavor at all. In addition the owner has raised the prices per dish $4.00 but no quality increase. If you are to raise your prices correctly, you need to price out the cost of each dish , then add your mark up.You DON"T just increase the price by $4.00 / per. Won't be going back there even though my wife's office is just up the street.

I've lived in China for several years of my life, and if you're looking for an authentic experience where the customer is an enemy of the state, this is the right place for you. You'll definitely be treated with extreme rudeness. We walked in around 11am and shortly after the waitress walked in the front door and immediately complained that we were in the restaurant, like she didn't want us there. We eventually ordered and the food was not delicious. Extremely oily and bland. Don't come unless you want to be treated like garbage.
