Great service. Beautiful view. Inventive menu. The food was well prepared and the presentation was impeccable. It is hard to find a restaurant of this caliber in Honolulu that serves lunch at this level.
Beautiful setting, great staff. Food is tasty. I always order the 3 egg omelette. Upon reopening after the pandemic, the portion size for the omelette and potatoes is HALF what it used to be. You also used to receive an entire broiled tomato (cut in half), now you only receive half of a very small tomato. Sad to say, but I think we will be frequenting the Plumeria Beach House out at the Kahala, which is still good value for the money.

Orchids was the best restaurant we dined at during our recent Oahu vacation. We stayed to other 5 stars properties but none was really impressing us (rather disappointed) Orchids delivered superior service, elegant and classic setting, delicious food presented by attentive staff. We highly recommend if staying in Honolulu.

From start to finish dinner was an experience. The restaurant is beautiful, and the outdoor seating faces the beach.Mikey and Daniel were our waiters for the evening and they were both fun and attentive. My drinks were never empty, and our finished plates never sat for long. We enjoyed great conversations with both of them.The food matched the vibe of the restaurant perfectly. The seafood dishes were fresh and light. I’s disappointed I forgot to take pictures of the Hamachi and Asparagus Piemontese but both were a hit for even my boyfriend who is a picky eater. Mikey recommended the Lasagnette and again, the prawns were cooked so well that my boyfriend was digging in (He doesn’t enjoy seafood that much). The Fiorentina Steak was cooked to a perfect medium rare and it was sliced table-side which was a nice touch.We only had the Mai Tais because they were delicious and we didn’t need to try anything else. Oh, I don’t like coconut at all but the coconut cake IS that good. Try it if you can.

4/25 at lunch.Stable taste and service.Halekulani has a great location.You can really feel this is Hawaii. The coconut cake, which I wasn't expecting much from, turned out to be even more delicious than I expected.I was surprised. Of course, we recommend that you make a reservation.

I have been going to orchids for years now, and the service the food and the ambience are perfect every time. I would recommend this to everyone and of course their coconut cake is the best.

We enjoyed the buffet, but it was a little strange at the end when the Manager came over, and told us very nicely that they needed the table and we should leave. It would have been fine as we had been there for quite a while chatting, but they had never given us the bill to give us a hint that it was time to leave. In fact we couldn't flag down our server, and ended up needing to call the Manager back over to ask him to get us the bill. Also, I wasn't sure if there was a time limit as none was mentioned when we were brought to the table.

Beautiful setting on the water and upscale ambiance. Extensive and varied menu. All of our dishes were excellent - inventive, flavorful and prepared to perfection. Service was impeccable. Pricing was reasonable given the aforementioned. Five stars!

Orchids is an exceptional oasis of style , service , ambiance and cuisine in an otherwise frenetic Waikiki. Beautiful China , silken service , amazing food , it is a treat for all the senses . At Breakfast, the papaya with lime and the Japanese Breakfast are sublime. The service and the courtesies extended by each team member is a standard others can only dream of emulating. The setting is calm and zen like .

I don’t know how it could have been any better from the friendliness and experienced staff, the perfect timing of the food preparation, the atmosphere with music on the beautiful beach, and don’t get me started about the taste….perfection. This place makes you feel special and you will be special if you eat here. I almost never give a 30% tip; I should have even given more!
Absolutely love this place!!!! Make sure you book at least 9-12 months in advance! Everything is fantastic!!! Tons and tons of seafood options! I can’t say enough great things about this place! Well worth every penny!

Wait staff is absolutely perfect. They are helpful with service, pictures, and any requests. Food and drink are superb, a truly special place to celebrate any occasion. We were fully satiated with the food and overall service.
We used to use it every year for our wedding anniversary, but this time we were disappointed that it did not reach the level of excitement. But the location was lovely and the staff had nice smiles. The food was also delicious. Thank you very much.

Orchids is my most favorite place to be. So clean so quite so special. Food was an ok. But ambience makes up for it. Love the white table linens, there are not many restaurants that kept the tables dressings. Love love love it. ❤️
