Saturday night we swung by Magoo's while walking in Kaimuki. Since I don't get much time off work to sit down and decompress, it was a breath of fresh air to find a spot that I can simply sit down, order a pizza, drinks and relax. We sat outside and ordered a pepperoni pizza and were treated by a gentleman whom I am regretting remembering his name. He was an excellent host, server, bartender, cashier... A man of many hats we shall call him. Thanks for accommodating an excellent night out.

Parking can be challenging. But every time I come home to visit I always go Magoo's. The pizza is very flavorful - the sauce and the toppings are fresh and the crust is just right. Crisp and slightly crunchy. Inside they offer soft drinks and "beer"!

Pizza needs serious work.... Basically don't have anything good to say about the pizza unfortunately. From the sauce to the crust it simply wasn't good regardless of the cost which was high for what was received. To add insult to injury I found an eyebrow hair in the Caesar salad. So I stopped eating and had to buy some food at the store to not end the night hungry. I would not recommend eating pizza here. All of our guests agreed on the disappointing pizza quality. I'd recommend frozen pizza like tombstone or any take and bake pizza over this. Maybe the wings or sandwiches are better but until some changes are made don't bother with the pizza.

Takeout order for two pizzas. Pizza was so disappointing, looks and tastes like school cafeteria pizza with the yellow cheese and too sweet sauce. Not even the kids wanted to finish their pizza. Heard good reviews for this spot so this ended up being the ultimate disappointment. There are so many other options in town to go and get better pizza, like Whole Foods, Costco, or J Dolans even. We'd seriously eat Costco pizza over this and save money at the same time. Nothing against the customer service because this was a takeout order. This is just about the awful pizza. Would love to support local business but there was nothing worth returning for. Sorry Magoos

This is our local family favorite, we order take out from here around once every two months. Good pizza, standard prices, friendly service. Their deep fried chicken wings (with the seasonings, haven't tried Buffalo yet), are amazingly good.
Been a patron of Magoos for many years. Been chasing the restaurant anywhere they move. Always a blast from the past to eat the ono combination pizza. Been enjoying the taste for close to 45-50 years. Love it. Keep going strong!

No Hu Hu Call Magoo's - this catchy slogan has stuck with me since 1970-80's. When they ran their commercial after Checkers & Pogos, poor mothers would have their kids begging for Magoo's. Does this pizza live up to my childhood memories? Yes it does. I forgot, not all their pizzas are round, some are square. Their square pizza dough is on the thiner & crispy side. It tastes good hot but doesn't reheated well the next day. I ordered the a Giant Magoo's Special Gourmet Pizza for take out. Right away, Popo declared that Magoo's pizza was better than Dominos & Boston Pizza. Thats because she likes her pizza loaded with toppings on a crispy crust. She does not care for New York style pizzas - a large slice of pizza with a thin foldable crust and minimal toppings (anorexic pizza's.) Nor does she care for the deep dish style pizza with a thicker dough like crust (too oily.) What stood out for me was the chunks of whole roasted garlic. The tomato base pizza sauce was good. I'm glad there's another option for good pizza in the neighborhood.

My favorite pizza! The cracker crust makes it taste perfect. This is the original Magoose!
They have great customer service, very family feel. Their service is fast and very convenient! The pizza is amazing in my opinion, keep in mind their pizza is thin crust(which I love). The restaurant its self is very calming. Good music taste, wonderful atmosphere. Overall great business definitely should try it!!!

$50+ wasted! The best description of the pizza I received is ketchup and oregano on cardboard. I am not happy and will make sure to tell anyone I know who is coming to Hawaii to skip this place. 100% DISGUSTING!!!!! I should have just gotten my pizza from Pizza Hut. They suck too, but not anywhere near as much as Original Magoo's Pizza.. AVOID AVOID AVOID

We LOVE Magoos. But because it's far from us we only have on special occasions. Lol The gentleman was so nice when he took my order over the phone. It was ready when my daughter went to pick it up. We ordered famous combo always a winnah! And anchovies.... they have anchovies! Wings are ono too!!

We frequently eat at Magoos and yet I never do a Yelp review. I think it's because going to Magoos feels like I'm eating at home because we go here so often and the service is always so welcoming! On our last visit, it was raining out so when we entered the restaurant it was freezing! We mentioned this to the server so they adjusted the temperature and the room was immediately warmer and so much more comfortable! The servers always recognize us and treat us like family. We often overstay but nobody ever rushes us out! The large screen TVs with sports games are sometimes a reason we overstay. The chicken wings and hot ham and cheese sandwiches are great. Our favorite go-to, though, is the giant combination pizza. We order a giant even if there's just me and hubby. Let over pizza is the best! Both my hubby and I grew up eating Magoos pizza. It tastes exactly the same as "the good ol days"!
