Always a creative menu accompanied by attentive service. We sat outside on what turned out to be a windy Friday night. More annoying was the Mariachi band playing loudly at the taco place across the street (drowned out the pleasant music at Merriman's). We'll eat inside next time. My wife's Makai special (Kauai lobster) was superb. My peppercorn steak frite was almost impossible to cut. Sharper knives are needed! Be sure to have the anchovies with the Ceasar salad--a great experience.

The food was outstanding and our server Francis provided exceptional service. A great local restaurant that wasn't too big to provide a special request for our wedding anniversary.

I had a wonderful meal and experience with my finance and my daughter. The manager and wait staff treated us like the most important people there. The food, tops on island! Mahalo Merrimans

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Merriman Restaurant in Honolulu and had an absolutely delightful experience. The meal began with a bag of biscuits that were a true treat for the taste buds. They were light and fluffy with crispy edges, perfect for holding the generous slatherings of butter and locally farmed honey. It was a wonderful start to the meal, setting the tone for what was to come. Next, I tried the beet and fennel salad, and it was a match made in culinary heaven. The flavors of the beets and fennel paired beautifully with the light vinaigrette, creating a refreshing and vibrant combination. Each bite was a burst of freshness and the ingredients were clearly of the highest quality. For the main course, I opted for the cast iron skillet chicken, and it turned out to be the highlight of the meal. The chicken was cooked to perfection, with a crispy skin and tender, juicy meat. The flavors were well-balanced and the dish was incredibly satisfying. It was clear that a lot of care and attention had gone into preparing this dish. To end the meal on a sweet note, I indulged in the pineapple macadamia nut bread pudding. It was a decadent and delicious dessert that showcased the flavors of Hawaii. The combination of the sweet pineapple and the rich macadamia nuts was simply divine. It was the perfect way to finish off such a memorable meal. Overall, my experience at Merriman Restaurant in Honolulu was nothing short of exceptional. The flavors, presentation, and service were all top-notch. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a truly delicious and memorable dining experience.

Frequent this restaurant a few times a month. Try to get outside seating as dining room noise levels do not allow for intimate conversations. Service is always top notch and attentive, less menu options which allows for high quality and excellent tasting food.

It's a desirable place to dine. Two of us ordered salad. Portion was very small. We thought they split one order into 2 servings. Not too happy about the value. Server was engaged and responsive. Host was warm and friendly!

Merrimans is always nice. But my meal was just okay. The fries were overcooked and hard which is such a basic thing you would think a restaurant like this would get that right. But service, ambiance, cocktails, and desserts were all good!

Was perfect for appetizers and drinks prior to our concert at the Neal S Blaisdell Center. Outside dining with live music and great service was a great start for our night. We will definitely return for dinner since we enjoyed everything we ate.

Merriman's never disappoints. Food and drinks are always amazing. Wine selection is top notch. The service cant be beat!! Very friendly staff and manager Cody is the best. One of my favorite restaurants.

We are locals. Been here 10+ times. Our special was undercooked - pink mahi mahi...soft and cold. The server Alex was great, and helped us get a new order. It took an additional 30 minutes to get a new special. The “manager” on duty was dismissive, rude and aloof. When we shared feedback about the special and time to get a new order, he said “clearly you weren't a fan of the special”. This restaurant leadership team should read “Unreasonable Hospitality “ by Will Guidara.

Merrimanʻs is one of my favorite places to celebrate with family and friends. The food is delicious, local and adventurous , the service is excellent and I feel safe eating in your well-ventilated restaurant. All of the staff are welcoming and wonderful to talk with. I particularly love eating outside (when thereʻs no construction going on).

It's always a treat to come to Merrimann's. Prices have gone up, but it's still worth the Splurge. The food is wonderful, and the lilikoi foam topped mai tai is always a hit with everyone who orders it. Service is outstanding.

We love Merriman's and are regulars, but our recent experience was subpar. The food was like dining at a fancy Denny's and the live music was just awful. We'll be taking a break for a while. Hopefully, they will find better talent and work on bringing back the quality food experience we're used to.

Food is always great! Took visiting relatives. Had chicken pot pie (limited quantities), eggplant sandwich, fish shrimp chips, and daily fish special. Try the lilikoi ice tea. All yummy. If you're lucky enough, we got Kai for our table - fun, local energetic guy.

Best restaurant on Oahu by far. Creative high quality menu. The service is always excellent. Make sure to ask what the daily soup and fish specials are. Happy hour after 3pm has an excellent menu with great pricing. Merriman's is our go to restaurant. We have never had anything on the extensive menu that we did not like so be adventurous and try something new.
