Interesting fusion cuisine. To much salt.Undefined after taste.I had a slight reaction to the crispy cheese dumplings.I had a strong reaction to the smell of the pho.Dietary restrictions: The server asked about and checked on allergies.

Awesome meal! Lovely staff! We decided to order takeout because the wait was an hour. The food was ready in less than 20mins. The chops with the Kale was delicious! Nice size portions too. My friend doesn’t like Kale but loved theirs! As we were waiting outside a staff member offered us seats, which was so kind of him?. It was the best meal we had in Honolulu.Parking: There is a deck behind the restaurant. Easy but tight parking.

Our waiter was very helpful and food was really creative and good. We started out with the Hanoi egg coffee, if you like the vietnamese ice coffee you will like this one too. It's popular in the Hanoi region, served with Kona blend espresso poured over whipped vanilla sweetened egg cream. Then we had the Burmese tea salad, a unique dish using fermented tea leaves, cherry tomatoes, and preserved lemons. We also had the Ahi toast, classic pho French dip bahn mi and Bo Ca Ri Ga which is like a curry noodle soup. Le fried chicken wings were double fried with pickled onions and peanuts. Highly recommended.

So delicious and the bahn mi pho combo a must. Deep deep flavors. Do not add any sriracha to the amazing broth! Just taste those deep concentrated flavors

I came here to eat lunch and we made reservations because I heard it can get busy here. They don't have too many tables inside but they do have some tables outside as well. I would recommend just making reservations if you know you want to eat here! For our beverage I had the Hanoi egg coffee which took a while to prepare, but it was very tasty! I ended up trying their special which was the oxtail stew and there was a ton of flavor and the meat was also falling off the bone . I was able to try the pho as well and it was good but it was very salty compared to what I'm used to (and I eat a lot of Vietnamese food). The food in general was salty for both dishes. I think their food is good but it was just a bit too salty for my liking. Still a very good restaurant though! Our server was also very sweet as well and very helpful!

Made a reservation to this place since their sister restaurant, the Pig and the Lady, was booked for Sunday. I was pretty excited to be able to get in for their brunch and try their pho! The meat was delicious and melts in your mouth. The broth for both the pho 75 and the bo kno were pretty salty with the pho being saltier than the bo kho. The Hanoi egg coffee was a good combination of bitterness from the coffee and sweetness from the milk/egg.

It's been a while since I last visited this restaurant, place seem the same with attentive staff and pleasant atmosphere. Booking ahead is recommended especially around the normal busy times for any restaurant. They do seem to change the menu regularly and on the date I was present it had a nice selection of starters including fresh oysters with a Calamansi & Makrut mignonette. The species of the oysters were of the smaller variety, yet fresh and nicely presented. A baked escargot with a green curry garlic sauce, topped with fried garlic and a nice hunk of French Baguette for dipping in that delicious sauce. For the main course we had a charcoal grilled whole Branzino fish that had been deboned. The main dish came without any sides so you might also want to order additional items with this dish. Still a great place to eat and enjoy one of the interesting cocktails that they offer.

YUM! Thank you Yelp for guiding us to Piggy Smalls for dinner on our vacation. This little spot is super cool! We ordered an assortment of things, but hands down my favorite was the vegan Pho. The portion was huge and the flavor was outstanding. I've had many vegetarian / vegan soups in my life and Piggy Smalls' really stands out. The ambiance and service were great and I loved the alcoholic slushee of the day. Definitely worth the stop!

I had big expectations considering their enthusiastic following. It started with the host who was snarky and said there were no tables outside even though there were several. Were they keeping people spaced out? Maybe, but she could have stated as much or at least been more welcoming. Once seated, the brunch menu presented a ton of delicious-sounding options. We started with Banchan's Crispy Cheese Dumplings which were good but there were no discernable cheese flavors. My main was Hang Over Easy which had: * Two over-easy eggs - These were beautifully done * Roasted potatoes - Five pieces, no salt, no flavor, boring * Maple lemon pancakes - These were LAUGHABLY SMALL, when I make pancakes at home, my dog gets bigger "treat" pancakes than this *Smoked brisket - Dry, chewy, utterly flavorless, possibly leftover from the previous day and thrown on the flattop to be warmed up I paused at ordering this because it was priced well above other entrees. I figured the extra was because it sounded like a full meal plus pancakes. Obviously not. I have no idea why this dish is so expensive. Otherwise, my wife got the pho which they are masters at creating. I will order that next time. If there's a next time. FYI, sitting outside means you're close to the dumpsters. Prepare to eat with one hand and swat at flies with the other. Or just pass on this place altogether.

Came here for Saturday brunch and it was so different from any brunch experience I've ever had. It's advertised as a Vietnamese restaurant but the menu says otherwise. They have a very interesting menu, if not disorganized... So I thought to myself ok maybe it's more like American/Vietnamese fusion? But then I saw ahi toast and mochiko chicken...oh local cuisine! And then Japanese pasta? And budae jjigae? So it's a pan Asian restaurant?! It took me a very long time to decide what to eat. While I was debating what to order I saw 2 groups of diners came in but left after checking the menu. So I guess I'm not the only one that was turned off by the menu huh. We ordered classic pho french dip banh mi and Saturday special pho (bo ca ri ga) which is a curry pho. Both dishes were salty. The curry pho reminded me of Singaporean curry laksa. The beef brisket was very tender though and they were very generous with the portion. The banh mi was not bad but again they put too much sauce (probably hoisin?) which overpowered other ingredients... And also a 5% service is automatically added to the checks for their sanitation supplies and the employee health benefits. It's listed on the menu.

My husband and I came here upon recommendations of a few friends. The vibe is super fun and cool here. We always order a bunch of stuff to share so we got: + sweet sausage summer rolls - 8/10 there were pretty good. I wish the sauce on the plate had a little extra kick + chicken wings - 9/10 - really good. Big portions too! + sirloin cap steak - 7/10 - good but on the smaller portion side + we got one of the daily phos - not your standard pho so don't go here expecting that. It was good with a lot of flavor. A HUGE portion, my husband and I weren't able to finish it Overall the meal was pretty good. We'd recommend it to friends visiting Oahu again.

My friend and I once again decided to order a variety of dishes to share. We were pleased with our choices and next visit we'd sub out only one. We'd order again: The tea salad--the jalapeños added a nice kick, even though I didn't eat them. The salad had a nice vinegary brightness similar to a usual papaya salad. The sausage summer rolls--we had two sauces on the side, my sauce was the usual crab sate a nice seafood flavor. The salty sausage balanced with the brightness of the mint and cilantro. The restaurant subbed a tahini sauce for my shrimp allergic friend. Dipping the rolls in the wings $&$sauce --yummy vinegary alternative. The twice fried chicken wings--was our favorite dish.. The vinegary pickled red onion, makrut (kaffir line leaves) a little sliver added a powerful citrus flavor. We pulled the wings apart and dipped and redipped the wings into the delicious bright, zingy, vinegary $$&sauce. Yum! The wings were surprisingly meaty. Not order again BAKED ESCARGOT--the snails were small and we wished for a more classic garlicky butter sauce vs the mild green garlic curry sauce. The garlic flavor didn't come through. The drinks --martini with 3 olives Cold brewed pandan iced tea--this one was mine. $6 extremely subtly pandan flavored water--skip and just drink the water. I was probably expecting a tea flavor, slightly sweet with pandan. Nice ambiance for a casual date--able to talk and hear ourselves.

We ordered the curry paste with egg noodles, , tea salad, bahnmi with French dip and added pho. The bahnmi did not disappoint. The curry paste with egg noodles was recommend by our server. It was flavorful just like she said. the brisket was on the tough side, it would be nice if they come in smaller pieces. For tea salad, it was a bit too sour for my liking, I have had better. With that said, I still felt a lot of thoughts were put into the menu and food which I appreciate. We sat right next to the open kitchen and saw how the big guy chef making sure the staffs were doing their job. He checked every plate that went out, and pointed out things that need additional attention. From what I could see, they kept everything clean and tidy, the entire crew has high discipline and on their toes like I was watching some cooking show. One star is taken off because we waited more than 35 mins for our order. It must have been missed at the first place, but our server was nice.

Uni, Anchovy & Garlic Spaghetti was the best spaghetti I've ever had. Ordered extra bread to get all of the sauce. Chorizo Clams were great. Excellent service.Parking: Parking garage next door - free parking.

The outdoor seating was so cute and honestly kind of inspiring -- made me want to open up a restaurant that looked something like it! I went to Piggy Smalls with friends after getting on crutches. Though my foot was swelling in pain, the deliciousness of the food seemed to take my mind off of my injury. I had a great time here. I loved the plating of the food, the taste of the food, and could not complain about the serving size. When I'm back in the area, I would love to visit again!
