Wow! Sometimes you come across food you feel lucky you found. The food here tastes unbelievably good. I got the beef stew. It was a great value and tasted great. I street park by Karai Krab but they are in building with a parking structure so you can order quick and get out and not pay, I believe. Don’t miss this place!

Takeout Lunch in Honolulu, Hawaii...I read a review by my friend, Irene M. She has been to The Potluck Cafe & Coffee four times in five months. Must be good, right?This place opened in October of 2019 and survived the pandemic. It has a five star average over 28 reviews. I need to check it out...Parking was the main obstacle. I found a free parking space on Young Street, about a block away. I didn't want to carry my food that far so I circled the block and found a metered stall right in front of the Interstate Building! Yay!The Potluck Cafe & Coffee is located on the ground level. It's a straightforward cafe with a cozy space in the back for dining in.Mike was a friendly and efficient worker. I felt bad when he told customers after me that it would be a thirty minute wait because my order involved several sauces that would take time because everything is made to order. I also felt happy that my lunch was being made special!While I was waiting, Mike gave me a sample of fresh poke. It was smooth and tasty with a slight kick and sesame seed essence.I drove quickly home and opened up my Potluck Perfect Burger (with tomato, lettuce, and onion), Hamburger Steak plate (with macaroni salad), and Salmon (with capers) Plate. My favorite was the salmon, cooked to perfection... And a green salad with a spicy creamy Asian dressing.I noticed that the paper container was lined with parchment paper - so the moisture wouldn't leak through the box - thank you, Mike! ...and thanks for a wonderful lunch!

I have been walking by this place for months and every time the food being cooked smelled great. I actually created this account to write about this place because of my experience. Anyway the last time I walked by I stopped by to check the menu and saw they had burgers. That's my jam right there so today on my way to the dispensary I popped in and ordered a burger. Right from the start the customer service was great. Two gentlemen behind the counter greeted me with smiles and asked how my day was. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger deluxe with no tomato's. One of them mentioned the burgers come with thousand island but I could also get ketchup, mustard, mayo, or his own sauce Diablo. I was hesitant but he let me try a sample and I said why not. After I ordered I popped in the dispensary next door, grabbed some stuff and went back for my burger. It was finished pretty quick, I grabbed it, thanked them, and left. The burger itself is great, the ingredients are all quality, and there's just the right amount of grease on it. The pickles were good, they give a good amount of onions, and the whole patty was covered in melted cheese. The whole overall experience was excellent. Good food, great service. I will be back for sure to try some of the other items on the menu.

Lovely names cafe providing just that...the varieties that makes us smile.Everything from breakfast, pasta, burritos, salads and an impressive local fave plate lunches this little nook cooks up comfort you crave for. The gentleman is such a delight and after my regular appointment I have in the Interstate Building I took advantage of the opportunity to give them a try.Not super starving I just needed something to hold me over so I decided on a burger, Jalapeño Burger it's put together with thousand island dressing and I added pepper jack cheese for an additional $1.25 and yes it was a simple burger but it was made just right it took care of what I needed and I was happy.Potluck is a local staple whenever we go to a party or gathering and here it's prepared wonderfully...oh and check out the collection of hot sauce he has!Thank you!

Just happen to walk by and drop in. Boy was I pleasantly surprised! Owner/cook Mike was very nice and his mushroom bacon pasta was awesome. Very tasty, pasta cook just right and very generous on the ingredients. Plus onions were sweet too! Will definitely be back to try another item

Great spot for food especially local specialities! The owner Mike is extremely nice and offers great customer service. Got some beef stew, pork adobo, spam musubis. All excellent.

We had an appointment in the building next door, but were early. So we looked up where the closest place to get a drink would be. We recalled a small snack shop next door, so we thought we'd check it out. Just from the outside the garlic / food smell catches you. Smells so good! It's a one man operation so give him some time if he's cooking up someone's order. There was one person in front of us, which gave us time to take a look at the menu and decide what I really wanted. The man was really cool and attentive knowing that he had a small line. He mentioned that he'd be right with us. I decided on a Salted Caramel Latte and my husband got a Hazelnut Latte. When preparing he was very quick, made some small talk, and sent us on our way with our drinks. To be honest, we weren't expecting a whole lot from the coffee, but it was truly really yummy. I'm no coffee connoisseur, but to me it was just the right amount of sweet and delicious. If you're pressed for time, you gotta hold on, or give them a call to place a take out order instead. He encouraged us to do that so the wait wouldn't be too long. We will definitely return soon to try the food and for another latte! Happy Eating :)
