Expensive but also worth it. Some of the best food I've ever had. I ordered the prime pannini and it came out in about 5-10 minutes.

The food is great. Almost good enough to be worth the hefty price tag. It's a little cafe with a deli counter and a kitchen in back. There are about 8 or so two-person tables with wooden chairs. Drinks are bottles from a cooler. There's no ambiance to speak of. It looks like a little lunch spot. But this lunch spot has wagyu beef burgers topped with prime rib. And the meat is melt in your mouth perfection. 30 bucks. That's a lot for a little lunch spot. Or the $60 prime rib plate. For lunch. The saving grace is that the food is mostly worth the cost. Just expect to pay $25 per sandwich. My date chose the Caesar salad for 15 bucks. I splurged, and it felt like a worthy extravagance, but only once in a very great while. Can't say what dinner is like cause I only had lunch.

First time I heard of this place was from Tommy eats when he said he found this place on accident and he went on and on about how bomb their prime rib is. I...have to disagree They're prime rib was..ok. It lacked flavor. It lacked salt. The herbs were almost there but not quite. But!! It was juicy and very tender and my plastic knife cut thru it and didn't break so that's a plus lol but I just wouldn't spend $32 on this again I'm sorry The prime rib plate came with mashed potatoes and veggies. The veggies was good. Crunchy but cooked it was nice. The mash on the other hand....idk if they didn't care at this point cuz they went thru a thanksgiving rush for their turkey sale or whatnot. But that mash was a no for me. I'm sorry these people are such nice people and I hate to leave bad reviews but I'm just being honest. The mashed potatoes was..watery maybe from the gravy I asked for but it just looked like potato soup lol and the flavor it was giving was not so good it had a weird aftertaste like smokey or burnt and curry? Idk it was just weird for me. I couldn't finish it Veggies 7/10 Mash 3/10 Prime rib 6/10 The service was amazing Celeste was so nice and so kind and so was her husband (I think) he was the Cook in the back he kept coming to ask me how I wanted my prime rib IM VERY OPEN idc to what cut or if it's medium well or what not I'm all about flavor but unfortunately it lacked flavor today. Maybe it was just today I might give them another chance again. But overall the owners are sweet she gave me some free bananas so thank you so much. Will o come back? Maybe..to try other things Will I ever spend $32 on a 8oz prime rib? Absolutely not lmfao I will just stick to the expensive buffets and enjoy the prime ribs there. But this was an experience. Glad I got to try this out it was ok for what it was. You can't please everybody. But you also don't have to be mean. I'm just leaving an honest review..that's all I hope I didn't offend anyone.

I stumbled upon this gem! It was the best prime rib sandwich I ever had. It was worth $24 for a sandwich that was delicious and tasty. Celeste was great and her husband a wizard. They recycle the orange rind to eat and gave me a apple banana to boot. I asked for extra salad dressing which is homemade as is the sauerkraut on the Reuben sandwich. I could only eat half of my sandwich, it was so full of prime rib. When I asked for well done, I said would you microwave? She said no, they pan cook it.I highly recommend this prime rib heaven...

Great lineup of top quality food!! I tried the carrot cake today and it was so delectable, not too oily tasting, and I was happy to have eaten it afterwards. The staff are so pleasant and courteous, it's such a joy to get to frequent this eatery. I might work up an opportunity to try one of their $20+ prime rib sandwiches one day as that's likely closer to their signature food than the desserts. They also serve some illy coffee varieties which can be nice. They have a few tables inside where people can eat, I believe, although I usually just see people sitting as they wait for their orders, then stand up and leave. A very interesting experience and eatery in downtown Honolulu!! Very well done...!!

First off my rating "should have" been a 5 star-except for the flimsy cardboard takeout container. I ordered the salmon with saffron infused rice, mixed veggies and a caper infused cream sauce-all of which ended up in the bag due to a leaking container. I am confident that if I ate there, the rating would change. But if you're gonna charge $30 for a "plate lunch", it should come in a better container. Imagine the surprise of my client when we opened the recyclable container and saw that the sauce, some capers and some tomatoes had escaped. The prime rib panini did better, but the leftovers should be put in a ziplock bag, which increases the amount of trash necessary to store this dish. The staff were super attentive, as always and the chef came out to thank me, a nice touch nowadays. So bring your own takeout containers if you're ordering here.

This is one of our greatest finds in 2023. We came here for lunch to try the prime rib and it passed with flying colors! The dinner is where it's at for us. The prime rib is still the star but the appetizers and salads shine on their own. I wish I got a picture of everything but trust me when I say there's nothing I wouldn't order again.Escargot-DIVINE. Already plucked out of the shell and layered on top their house bread and sautéed mushroomsPork belly- Juicy and fillingCaesar salad- oddly deliciousPrime roast- really? Can you really eat here and not get this? Accompanied with mash potatoes and ratatouille Apple tarte tatin- the best dessert in all of Hawaii. I kid you not. Pricey but 100% worth itIt's the most inconspicuous place for such great French food but give them a try. They're super friendly too.BYOB for a minimal corkage fee.

The food is pretty good here, but a little pricy for what you get. I spent $22 for a prime rib panini and salad. Didn't feel like there was a lot of meat on it for that price, either. Quality over quantity here. Option for sit down dining available as well as take out. Service is good and friendly. If you don't mind spending over $20 for a quality lunch, then this is the place for you.

Worst Prime Rib french dip I have ever had. The counter person did ask me if I minded a little gristel and I said as long as it is cut thin and not to much. When I got home to enjoy my favorite type of sandwich. To my disappointment it was all gristle and inedible. How the guy at the counter thought that the sandwich he was preparing was going to be good leaves me speechless. I expect a lot more from a place that specializes in this type of sandwich and I definitely did not get a $25.00 sandwich.

This is a cute little cafe in Downtown. I wouldn't have known about this place if it wasn't my friends suggestion. Definitely a cute little place if you wanna celebrate a coworkers achievement or birthday. The staff are friendly and the seating was cozy. I've been eating less soe and my friend shared a plate. It was perfect portion to share. Yum!

I have been to Rays for the last five years since I moved to Hawaii and I love the Prime Rib if not so for the ambience if Prime Rib is Jess as good as the house of prime ribs in San Francisco and the price is right I always get your Prime Rib there I go there a little early because they do run out I speaking for the Prime Rib you can take it to go whatever deliver

GREAT FOOD FOR A REASONABLE PRICE. The Prime Rib with Crab Legs were as good as some of the fine dining restaurants in Waikiki at half the price.

This place is special. It's difficult to describe; there's good, there's delicious, and there's some surreal ascendant luxury this rate place achieved so consistently.I will admit I'm biased - I've enjoyed this chef's cuisine for over a decade, but every aspect of what he serves now proves that he honors and cherishes every step he's ever taken.Treat yourself. Try the tarte tatin, it's life-changing. ^~^

I couldn't decide whether to give 4 or 5 stars. My prime rib panini was pretty good, but a few pieces had a lot of gristle. Overall though everything we had was excellent. I really like what they're doing here, their dinner menus really looked fantastic as well. I really want to try them out for dinner!I think next time I'd be better off getting a prime rib plate rather than a sandwich.
