It’s so great. It’s hard to find this place because there is no sign. But it’s really worthy to go and sushi is good and price is reasonable.

We ate there about a week ago. The food was incredibly delicious. Everything we ate was super fresh. We enjoyed everything. The service was great too. The sushi person explained everything he served which made the meal great. The restaurant is cozy and clean. Have told friends and family about this hidden gem

This is the best omakase I've had. You have to call for a reservation and they will call a day before to ensure you are coming so make sure you don't miss their call. It is very casual here and the outside looks a bit sketchy. When you walk in though, it's a totally different space. The quality is simply amazing for the price point. I'm not even sure how to describe the meal. I can just say it's something you'll want to experience. I still dream about this place from time to time and I'd fly back to Oahu just to eat here.

Best omakaze we had in Honolulu. A bit tricky to find. It's a beeline UP THE STAIRS INSIDE OF ROCK BOTTOM SPORTS BAR AND GRILL.Super friendly sushi chef, will work with you in terms of choices and if you're getting full he is receptive to that. Some sushi chefs (not all) can be pretty strict, no substitutions, no changes to the omakase... you feel like you can't talk or take photos.Photos, menu changes and cell phones at a sushi bar is a basic no-no anyways in the US or Japan.(Personally, I feel like phones at the table, home or out are a faux pas anyways. Just my opinion, don't come for me.. ?)

Unassuming sushi bar is a well hidden 4 year old secret in Moili'ili. The omakase sushi was beautifully presented with its own drizzle from ponzu to a hint of ume to truffle. Some raw, a few baked and Chef Jason's infusion of dashi made our meal an exciting surprise. Each crafted sushi was a artistically presented from the oysters to dessert. Reservations a must for the thoughtful omakase spread. Taking two nonagenarians who have a palate for good sushi, enjoyed the whole meal, including the sake. With plenty of free parking, this hidden gem is our new favorite omakase Japanese sushi bar. Don't let the name Rock Bottom Sushi fool you. Oishi katta!

Looooove RB! Jason is such a talented chef, very knowledgeable and so personable! The omakase was phenomenal! I love how intimate the setting is and sitting at the sushi bar you get to watch Jason make everything. You can see the care and detail he puts into every dish. I can't say which dish was my favorite because they were all sooooo good. But the lobster is something I will dream about forever. It's also very decently priced for an omakase meal. It's tucked away behind rock bottom (the bar). I've always gone to rock bottom and wondered what the steps on the side were, now I know it leads up to an amazing sushi spot. I will definitely be back!

This is a must stop for amazing sushi and dining experience. It's a small location above a bar and reservations only but don't be discouraged. They do omakase only and it was just amazing!

Hands down, the BEST Omakase experience ever! Chef Jason was absolutely fantastic and Richard was very on top of everything, like refilling drinks and making sure we all had ginger and wasabi on our plates without us asking~ both super friendly and made us feel very comfortable~ 10/10 recommend! Definitely coming back here next time I'm in Hawaii!

If you love sushi and you're traveling to Honolulu, be sure to make a reservation at this restaurant. They have about 10 counter seats (and 4 four-seater tables) and serve only two rounds per night, at 5:30p and 7:30p. What makes RB Sushi special is Chef Jason always finds a unique way to highlight each piece of fish, while recognizing the star of the show is the fish itself. There is a delicate balance that he is able to capture in every piece. It's artful, delicious, and keeps you dancing in your seat the whole meal through. Although it is a set omakase, you can chose to skip a piece or add an extra piece, and the price will be adjusted accordingly. This place is a love letter to nigiri, and the chef is a genius. Each rice grain is perfectly independent, well seasoned, and warm when served. I've eaten sushi in many major cities in the USA, and Japan- and his is still in the top 5 Omakases of all time. Oh, one more thing, the location is super obscure. It's located to the side of RB Sports Bar and Grill, but rather than entering the bar, go to the back side and find the white staircase - it will actually lead you to (this) heaven. Taste: 5/5 Presentation: 5/5 Recommend to a friend?: YESSS times a million Consistent: YES!! Been here 3-4 times now, and a must every time I'm in Honolulu. Cost: about 125/Omakase ($$$) Parking: plenty of parking in the complex

I was yelping around looking for a omakase place to treat my man out for his bd when we're here in Waikiki, RB sushi popped up with all 5 stars 76 reviews and i thought to myself ... let's support the new business. The restaurant is a tiny speakeasy place on the 2nd floor of a dive bar. There's a main entrance that i guess most people missed facing the parking. The omakase covers 18 pieces of goodness collected seasonal from local and Toyosu fish market in Japan. Fish quality is great. I like the simplicity on the garnish and sauce that didn't overkill the fish flavor. We had a great time enjoying our dinner and interacting with chef Jason. I would definitely come back here on my next trip.

Phenomenal experience. The food is sourced from all over the world and was extremely high quality. It was delicious. The rice was the best I've had in the US. We will definitely book a reservation at RB Sushi every time we're on Oahu.

Jason, the chief and owner are chill and made delicious food. I stop by Rb sushi whenever I visit Waikiki. The chief will feed you until you told him stop ( i got 8-9courses of omakase) . The lobster with garlic mayo is my most favorite dish. I usually don't like filter sake, but RB have really good imported filter sake.
