So many good memories from when this place was open. It's a shame that Ala Moana and Shirokiya weren't able to come to an agreement in their legal disputes that would have been more beneficial for their customers. And guys, complaining that the place is closed in the reviews won't do anything. You have to "Suggest an Edit" and report this as being permanently closed.

No trip to Waikiki is complete without lunch at Shirokya Japan Village Walk. We're shocked and saddened by its closure. The mall food in terms of quality and variety is nowhere equal to this place.

Please bring this back!! This was my favorite part of Ala Moana center. :( so disappointed to find that it was closed. Last time I was there was around 3 yrs ago when they had The Gacha games. So much fun! :(

Miss this place so much! Best place to come because there are soo many options of food to choose from! Especially when you have a friend or family member that want don't want to eat the food you want. Everyone can be happy! I hope this place will reopen soon!!

One of my fav spots and I'm so sad that it's closed. Really hoping they figure out the dispute with Ala Moana soon.

Sadly this place was closed down. My kids really looked forward to coming here but I read that there was some dispute with ala moana center and the person who headed up shirokiya.

March 2022 closed. Legal dispute with landlord Ala Moana Center. It's old location was great. All the old time stores at Ala Moana Center are disappearing or gone. Who is left? Foodland?

Before the pandemic it was so busy. I liked the fact that it had various stalls of vendors you can choose from. I tried a ramen vendor there and it was really good. I hope they will re-open one day so I can go to the ramen place in there again.

Shirokiya Japan Village Walk is a food court type area and they are located in the Ala Moana Center. It is probably one of the better and nicer food courts that I had been to before with a decent amount of good dessert and food choices. Of course it was also clean and pretty compared to other food courts that I had been to. They had an area off to the side that had rows of toy capsule machines and an area in the back that sold Rilakkuma merchandise/plushies.

Pos: - variety of selections of foods. Sukiyaki, ramen, desserts, beers, meets, sushi and more. - Feels like in Japan. You'll feel that vibe! - Foods are delicious and good prices. - Some are awarded restaurants! - live music play (not all the time) Con: - Crowded

I loved this place. My friends loved this place. Ala Mona is not the same without SJVW. This place brought in everyone. My SO is heartbroken. :(

Oh boy really loved this place. This place just had lots and lots to offer. Can get really crowded but there is a reason for that. Great food of all types. This is for sure one of my favorite food courts. Just wish I found it sooner before our last day of stay. Would have loved to go back at least one more time. But we will be back soon enough. They had a vest of different eats. From ramen to rice dishes and grilled items. Crapes to ice cream and mochi. I mean we got a lot for a single sitting. Haha. Most vendors I would have to say was very friendly. Hard to go with larger groups due to it being crowded and hard to get all seats together. But we all loved it and hope to be back very soon.

Helllooooooooo please open soon!! We soooooooo cannot wait, correction I sooo cannot wait. Its been too long ( since last year haha) to eat all the yummy foods here, guess foodlands is still a great alternative when in ala moana mall in the meantime. Missing all the ramen, sashimi, katsu, buck Japanese beer, and many more please open soon lol

Wow Wow

I just read on the news that the company who owns this village walk and Ala Moana corp is suing each other for unpaid rent and this place is not coming back.On the other hand, when this place was open, it was GREAT!

Lots of fun. Tons of restaurants and ample seats. The gacha pon machines are very cute as well.
