Walked by earlier today to see that their sign says they are open until 7pm. Doors locked at 6:15pm. Workers inside eating food. False advertisement and a huge waste of my time. Also before moving to this location they actively allow homeless people in there that dig cups out of the trash cans to go inside with their trash filled cups and get soda out of their drink machine that you have to put your cup against to make the drink that you have to pay for. It's nasty.

I want to try and help local businesses especially during the pandemic and recently started patronizing the Subway Shop on Fort Street Mall, Honolulu, Hawaii... Don't get me wrong the sandwiches do taste great and the staff that makes the sandwiches is attentive and getting the order correct and make a great tasting sandwich. However, the female manager who claims to be the manager is not a manager. She doesn't listen to constructive criticism or if she does listen she doesn't believe in the value of what a customer may be suggesting and ignores them. One week I noticed that the hand sanitizer at the beginning of the line wasn't working. "oh, I know about that" she says and says she put a pump kind at the register...but that is not helping the customer upon entering the store... this is about not spreading COVID and waiting until the customer is ready to leave the store before sanitizing his or her hands. I suggested that she remove the non-functioning dispenser and put her hand pump model at the beginning of the line... I tried to explain that to her.... Her final response, "I don't care...go ahead and report me", she says. So, I did. The following week, the pump was fixed and working. There are two entrances to the sandwich shop... I thought the store was not open because there was furniture in front of the door, so I didn't go in. And then I learned that by walking around the corner that there was another entrance. Now, the manager is locking one of those doors and she is not giving any simple instructions such as placing a sign in the window to "use the other door" with an arrow. Simple fix and it gives clear instructions to the potential customer of how to enter her store. I calmly made a suggestion to her to make a sign. She seemed attentive and seemed to appreciate how that could help promote a positive experience to her customers.... BUT, she didn't do that either, and upon returning to the store for another sandwich, I had to fight my way to try and find a door that opens... No sign.... No customers....But I could see staff member working and the lights were ON. Apparently, she was just placating me and playIng nice when I made a simple suggestion but it didn't fix the problem. When it was presented the problem to her again, she said she just recently locked the door although the store is open... But no sign. Okay, lock the doors and hang a sign... a homemade sign is even acceptable. (and, while you're at it, make another to hang on the doors blocked off with furniture). I offered to make her a sign if she would give me a pen and paper and some tape...I guess she doesn't see the value in bringing customers into her store without making it a guessing game in how to enter the store. We are trying to give her our money and she makes it difficult for the customer to have a good experience. Instead of trying to listen to constructive criticism, she cuts me off in mid sentence which escalates the problem because she is not listenIng.... She's now not happy and I'm not happy either. Bottom line, we are all tired of the pandemic and it doesn't take much to set people OFF, but if a business can not make it easier for a customer, by listenIng to constructive criticism and makIng it work... then why should we give them our money? We are trying to give our money to them to survive. All we ask is that they help make it a good experience. That starts with listening and not trying to cut the customer off in mid-sentence.

Just your basic Subway. I was a little hungry but not $12 plate lunch hungry and saw their poster for $3.99 6-inch sub of the day. Just happened to be Spicy Italian day, so thought I'd get a relatively healthy snack with some fresh veggies thrown in. The staff here is not the friendliest but the location is convenient if you work nearby. They get kinda grumpy when you redeem your receipt survey coupon for a free cookie. But the subs are decent and good for a quick and cheap snack or meal.

Some weeks I bring home lunch the whole weeks, other weeks I depend largely on Subway to feed me. This Subway located in Fort Street Mall directly across from Scarlet has the most eclectic customers I've ever experienced and the employees have the patience of saints. One week my coworker and I were behind a man in line who had commentary for EVERYTHING he was ordering. "Toast that twice," "yea yea make my sandwich wet," were just some of the offerings he gave us before he even made it to the register....then he proceeded to tell the cashier he wanted cookies but was watching his figure only to buy EVERY SINGLE COOKIE in the cookie case if they "promised not to tell his mother." While my coworker and I and others waiting rolled our eyes and wanted to scream at this man to STFU and move it along, these sweet baby angel employees let the man do his thing, served him with a smile and then went about moving the line along as quickly as possible. Other than the staff, there's nothing "special" about this Subway, but that's the point of chain restaurants, all of your food should taste and look the same regardless of location. Staff is friendly, quick and makes your sandwiches to your liking, never complaining or rolling their eyes at my "more pickles" requests.

Great location for me since I'm at the top of Fort Street Mall, and it's a little above Hotel. I rarely go to Subway anymore, but needed some veggies. Went in and they are very nice. Ordered the CaliFresh Turkey but in a salad just with some olive oil. Got everything I wanted, except could use more bacon. Pretty tasty. What surprised me is that I ordered it on Friday...forgot my leftovers in the fridge at work, and on Monday it wasn't all nasty soggy like most salads (and even sometimes their sandwiches). Most of it still crisp even! Super happy.

They are working with a limited menu. For example, no sliced roast beef. Also, they are NOT open on Saturday. Other than that, it's OK, except that the service is sometimes a little surly.

One of my go to spots for lunch, always consistent but are typically out of spinach and that's one of my favorite things on my sandwich . They do have dine in availability but it is limited with covid precautions. Mahalo

I've never had any complaints or bad experience here at Subway honestly. The good or bad of my experience just depends on what menu I order. I ordered the Sweet Onion Teriyaki Chicken Foot Long Sandwich (however I didn't add the sweet onion sauce) and it is bomb! If you cant decide on what to put on your sandwich, I recommend this : Italian Herbs and Cheese Bread, Teriyaki Chicken, Pepper Jack cheese, lettuce, tomato, cucumber, onion, green pepper, mayonnaise, creamy siriacha. Trust me... it's delicious!!!

I like the new $1.99 sliders! Near bite sized mini sandwiches at a low price that can't be beat! They have a variety to choose from, and they serve as the perfect between meal snack! Check them out!

Ordered a dreink, no carbonation, they did not know how to fix. Then she did not know how to refund me bc I had a prepaid cc, then goes and says it was my fault! This clerk should be fired! Especially when shes face timing friends while she is at work. Shame on her!!

The 12" subs measured shorter than 12". We thought Subway corrected this issue nationwide but think the franchisee is still cutting corners with the subs they're selling us patrons.

I like their tuna sandwich, but there are lots of other choices, all big sub sandwiches, lots of bread.

$8.94 for this "deluxe" turkey chopped salad? It wasn't even full. Never going there again.

High rating for his Subway! Very generous amount of veggies, pleasant lady working, even gave me extra of what I wanted, answered my questions when I couldn't see the the board! I will be back to this location because not all of the Subways treat you this nice! ......and by the way, the lady did have a thick accent BUT repeated her answer again and again until I understood! She was always pleasant!!!!! ####Subway on Fort St mall, behind the main Bank of Hawaii exit in back, across from WALMART, further in tucked behind the Aloha Pacific Credit Union. There are like 2-3 subway locations in Down town.
