Stopped by to have some delicious ramen on Friday Sept 29, 2023. The restaurant appeared to be closed, all the tables and chairs were moved! Did they close the restaurant? Or did they move to another location?

Local favoriteAuthentic Japanese ramenThe absolute best ramen shop state side.I’ve not found any other place that compares too. I’ve been in many times over the years; never had a bad bowl.

Tenkaippin will always be my happy place. Nothing saddens me more than to see them go. My ramen lovin' heart is broken. Went in for a final goodbye and it was so nice to see the restaurant busy and full of life. Thank you for taking care of me all of these years and for nourishing my soul with your amazing ramen made with so much love & care! You will forever be missed ;(

Best ramen shop in Honolulu. So sad to see them going. What can we do to make you stay? T-T honestly had the most flavorful, rich, hot, deep ramen I've ever had. Tiny little shop reminiscent of Japan ramen shops. They had little containers of spicy garlic/ginger and spicy miso paste that just gave that extra umph factor and kick to your ramen like a cherry on top of your sundae. Service was amazing and very attentive staff, always. Never felt looked away and always made sure we had what we needed. Say it ain't so, I won't let go. I hope they can make a come back. If not it was a great journey. I'll just go eat instant ramen from now on I guess... 1000th review what an honor! I love Tenkaippen! Please don't go!!!

Big epic fail last night it was my sister -in-law birthday and she wanted Tenkaippin Ramen. So of course no problem I decided to give them a call @ 5:30pm once they open .Talked to a lady over the phone who I had a hard time to understand with her heavy Japanese accent . She advised me that there was no take out available only dine in . I than replied how come she said that they don't have any take out containers available. Ok now what establishment don't t have take out containers. I understand that maybe they ran out or waiting for the back order to come in , but that's no excuses when running a business you should always order way before your stock runs out just in case you have a hard time getting containers. Tenkaippin just lost my business that night also other take out orders as well . I'm not sure if I'm going to give them another try in the future. Try to support local whenever possible

Oh my. Best ramen I've had in my life?!?!? First time trying here. Good luck finding parking. We accidentally parked in the papa John's area and noticed the sign after that we could've been towed. Luckily, we weren't so be careful. Anyhow, gonna try to make this short. We had no wait, got there around 5, and ordered the garlic oyster ramen and fried chicken. They forgot about our fried chicken and brought it out after we were done with our ramen, but the ramen was so damn good, we didn't even care about the chicken at that point. I had 3 oysters which were so YUMMY and the broth was deliciously buttery and garlicky and just HEAVENLY. I must've said "mmm" after every savory bite. Been dreaming of this place since we left and dying to go back!

Really disappointed. I ordered the black garlic tonkatsu ramen and karaage set. Small portions. Thin, bodiless tonkotsu broth. Light garlic taste. Overcooked char shu. Chicken was tasteless. Asked for mayo or garlic paste to doctor the chicken; only had shoyu and chili pil as condiments. Price wascalso high for what you get. This place is rated very highly. I dont understand why.

I wouldn't go out out of my way to come here, but if you are craving Ramen, it's a pretty solid spot! Came at around 7:30pm on a Monday night and it was pretty empty. There is a free parking lot around the corner where Jamba Juice is at. Was greeted right as we walked in. Our waitress was really upbeat and friendly. Food came out really quick.FRIED CHICKEN - got a 3 pc fried chicken as part of a combo. It's delicious and juicy. A great appetizer to munch on before the ramen arrivesGYOZA - you can get gyoza as part of a combo or on its own as an appetizer. You can mix your own sauce using soy sauce, vinegar, and sesame oil. Unfortunately wasn't my favorite and pretty unforgettable. think it was just lacking flavor. SPICY F****** TENKAIPPIN RAMEN - not listed on the main menu. They have some specials on the table and this was on of them. It doesn't come with many toppings - just some spicy minced meat (I assume pork), kimchee, and green onions. I added egg and chashu on mine (both really good!). The ramen itself is definitely spicy (a little spicier than the Spicy Shin instant ramen). I personally think this ramen had more flavor than the Black Tonkatsu. If you get a chance, mix both the broth from this Spicy Ramen and the Blank Tonkatsu! Flavor explosion right there!

I went here for lunch the other day and got their famous Chicken kotteri ramen. Broth was pretty good but not mind blowing. The ramen did cost $21 which was a bit steep compared to ramen prices in Japan. Other than that ramen still was good and it did hit the spot for me.

Absolutely phenomenal experience. The spicy ramen was fantastic, not too hot to be overpowering and very, very flavorful. Whenever I come to Honolulu, I will always come here for an authentic ramen experience.

No waitress or waiter wrote down the orders. I asked the spicy level 1 Miso ramen and my friend asked menu C which is Tantan ramen and chicken como. But we got a regular miso ramen and tantan ramen only. It's ok. Sometimes it happens when they are busy. But the taste was not as good as we expected. Nothing special, below average. I don't know why it has 4.4 star rating.

Service was awesome, if you don't have a large group it's easy to get sat. Usually it's first come first serve. I come here specifically for the paitan ramen with fried rice.

If you like to eat with partitions between you and everyone else at a bar, in peace this place is for you. The ramen is good, nothing will knock your socks off, but it's as good as you expect ramen to be. They have some unique takes but in very limited supply. The service is really fast, by the time you sit down and order your food is out 5 minutes later.

Went with friends who are locals and was not disappointed. They even had a couple of Kotteri Ramen available and have to say the rich broth, chewy noodles, toppings and sauces were outstanding. Think it is the best ramen I have ever had. We also tried the Assari Ramen, Ajigasane (chicken) Ramen, which were both excellent too. Added a fried rice which was decent. This is a casual, local place, but definitely a gem. The service was solid and we were very, very satisfied.
