I was looking for a new lunch spot to go to. The pictures people was posting about the roast chicken looked bomb and I love me some roast anythinf with gravy. So I figured let's give this place a try! Idk maybe today ain't their day but wtf did I get? I know a costco chicken when I taste one..this had no effort no love no nothing. I get it it's supposed to b fast and ready But baby WHAT THE FUCCCCC IS THIS? I paid 17.78 for this plate...on my mama I should've just gotten me a salad at Heidi's but their line was long so I settled. I never felt so dam disappointed. Where's the gravy? Why my chicken look like it got beat up by mike Tyson? Why the spaghetti salad so dry? Just why? Whoever the owner of this joint is please please..whatever you gojng thru..give it to god and go bacc to making delicious food cuz this mess was not it. 17.78 for this mess?! I could've went to Sam's club and paid $5 for a whole chicken and ate it rice. I'm so mad. Lmfao I wasted so much money. Anywho...Ima give it one more shot. This plate look like a fuccin MONDAY. Just sad and don't wanna be here lmfao dammittttt The cashier lady was nice tho that's why they get 2 stars but this plate??? It's a no for me ma'am

The food here is awesome! It's one of the many lunch places that are in the Pioneer Plaza that cater to the downtown business crowd. They have daily specials and some delicious salads in their display. The service is fast and friendly. Their food is very fresh and tasty. It's like gourmet cooking. I like that they mix brown rice in the rice and that they use thin noodles in their macaroni salad. I tried the chili dog the other day and really enjoyed it. The hamburger was cooked perfectly and in abundance. Their tofu and somen salads are fantastic. You should give them a try. You won't be disappointed.

Got the spicy ahi poke bowl today. One of the best poke bowls I've had on the island. This place is my usual go to when I'm in the office. Their menu varies everyday so be sure to follow thier ig @dalunchspot for the daily menu

Back at the office in downtown and the first place I wanted to grab lunch at is The Lunch Spot at Pioneer Plaza (Fort Street Mall). Yesterday I had the pork cutlet with brown gravy. That was delicious. Thin cut breaded pork (4 good size pieces) with mushroom gravy (with fresh mushrooms). The pork was tender and gravy was perfect. I'm trying the panko crusted salmon today. It looks really good. I like this place because the menu changes daily, so I know I won't be eating yesterday's leftovers. Some menu items come in a mini plate version. They have several types of fresh salads. Today they had a taco salad on their menu. I almost went with that but I haven't had their salmon before so went with the salmon. I'll try the taco salad another time. They do run out of the specials sometimes so I recommended getting to their counter by 12:15. The salmon is lightly crusted, perfectly cooked and tasty. The tartar sauce compliments the salmon well and appears to have fresh dill in it. These guys do it right ----- good service, good food and a good daily selection to choose from. I'll probably be back here tomorrow. Ha ha.

Asian Chicken Salad is not bad. Dressing is great.

This is one of my favorite places for breakfast!!! They are usually open early - unless they are doing holiday meal specials and need the extra time to prepare that week. There are many choices for breakfast ... but my fave is the mini breakfast. One egg (cooked your way), rice, and your choice of meat. I usually get an over easy or soft scrambled egg with crispy bacon...but the portugese sausage is yummy too!!! Their lunch menu is great too!!! A lot of people call in their order on certain days to make sure they get what they are craving for. There seems to always be a fish choice whether it's poke, katsu or panko crusted. Everything is made fresh and there is a homemade tuna spaghetti salad that you should try at least once!!! My fave is Friday's Panko Crusted Mahi Mahi with a dill tartar sauce...Yes, I said DILL tartar sauce!! Amazing!!! I saved the best for last ... desserts!!!! OMG the cookies are YUMMO. These are homemade as well and there are different flavors, but my favorite are the almond cookies!!! There different desserts to try...and I think I'll try them all sooner than later. They have been open throughout this trying time, they have installed plexiglass at the register, all the workers wear masks and use the hand sanitizer frequently. Pro Tip: Remember to bring your own reusable bag to take all your yummy choices away!!!

This is the only place I go to order food in Pioneer Plaza! Although I love all the choices I've tried here, my personal favorite is the Stuffed Baked Kajiki, which came with Mac salad for the regular plate lunch (pictured). The fish was soft and cooked well, but what I really liked about it was what was stuffed in it. The imitation crab and celery added a kick to the flavor, and I was surprised that it worked so well. I also don't usually like Mac salad, but I'll always finish the ones they make here. An added plus? They're my go-to place to get gingerade drinks!!

Purchased lunches for our office and am so happy I found this gem of an eatery. Located in the Pioneer Plaza food court, they have their share of competition. I will say this from the start, they may not be the least expensive but their food is worth the price. They do not disappoint. Tried their tonkatsu which was light and perfectly cooked. Panko was a nice golden color, which made me feel like Chris didn't reuse oil when frying. Pork was not dry, so not overcooked. Also had their homemade chili which was perfectly balanced for me. Not too spicy, not too mild. On separate days, I had the kale noodle salad and somen salad. Winnas!!! The dressings are amazing and the selection of ingredients, though not unique, are very well chosen and implemented well. This pandemic is making me gain weight. So I'm back to eating salads daily. Whether you are a salad lover or are switching your diet to keep your clothes fitting right, The Lunch Spot is the place to go for a great, satisfying salad. Help them out by checking them out.

The Egg Battered Mahi Mahi is special on Friday and the Kale Noodle salad is available every day. The Mahi plate comes with three large pieces, a scoop of rice and your choice of toss or mac salad. It was my cheat day so I opted for the mac salad. Their mac salad has diced cucumber in it which is refreshingly different. The tartar sauce is an herbed sauce sans relish. It is very tasty and a nice change of pace from typical tartar sauce. The kale salad is refreshing. The kale noodle sit on a bed of romaine lettuce and is garnished with avocado and tofu slices. Their salad dressing is a tangy sesame style dressing that is a bit thicker then usual which helps it stick to the noodles better. Both can be had for less than $11 which is a good deal considering the quality of the food. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Tried the Mini Hamburger Steak plate. Had high hopEs for it since I enjoyed all the food from my previous visits. Sorry to say I was a bot disappointed with the hamburger steak. No complaints about the taste. My complaint is with the "doneness" of the patty. The patty was nice and thick, but the middle portion was way too undercooked for me. After removing the undercooked portions, there wasn't very much left of the patty for me to eat.

Chris and Heather do a great job with an awesome variety of hot entrees and meal-sized salads for lunch, as well as a nice breakfast menu. My absolute favorite "broke the mouth kine" plate lunches are Chris's hamburger steak with onions and gravy, melt in your mouth shoyu pork, savory pot roast beef, and pork & watercress soup!!! entrees are rotated over the course of the week, so the menu is never boring. They also do catering for your office or family parties and events. Try the Lunch Spot, you'll be glad that you did.

FOOD yummy homemade tasting plate lunches! They have breakfast and lunch. They also have select salads available in the cold case. Hopefully they can find someone to do their desserts again soon :) Special Catering options also available for tailgate parties and holidays! Make sure to check out their board for whats available. I got their top sirloin slider catering option. Sooo much food! And soo good. Taro buns with soft rosemary top sirloin. Served with a horseradish aioli and au jus. Also comes with potato mac salad and yum pickles and assorted chips. Added the okinawan soba to my order too. STAFF super friendly and always remember you and what you like to eat Love eating here!
