A few months ago we were having brunch and the food was unbelievably different from all of our last visits. My food was DRENCHED in sauce, just way too much I could not finish it, it made the rice terrible. And the pancakes were no longer buttermilk pancakes, they were flat and bunt. Now I am worried I will have the same experience. All of our other visits were fine but the last one was awful enough to make me not want to go back somehow.

I absolutely adore this restaurant! The scallops were amazing! Cooked just right. I had the taro and lobster dish and I savored every bite. The truffle fries are just as amazing as I remember. I had more of an amazing time this time and I even did last time. The location is super cool too. We had a great view at sunset. I'm glad we came here!
Absolutely awful from beginning to when I left. Front host was extremely envious and and enraged with jealously. My server was not attentive and was rude. Foods was beyond disgusting. Even the manager was terrible when it was brought to his attention. I’m not sure what their issue is but everyone needs better training and need to learn some class/manners. The girl food runner with glasses and parking boy was the best thing that happened out of the whole experience.I was told I was treated in such ways because my rsvp was last minute. Interesting. This is what the front host and manager said.

We decided to have dinner here with a friend and were pleased. We were seated on the patio overlooking Diamond Head ? Amazing view, and at the end we also saw fireworks! We ordered the chef's testing menu for 2 people, the first 2 dishes were very tiny, but so beautiful and delicious, the third dish of fish and ribs with various vegetables pleased us with its size and taste. And the dessert is also delicious and beautiful. The service was top notch, our waiters were very attentive! Overall, we really liked it here!

A great oceanfront restaurant with a view of Honolulu.The restaurant looks very elegant from the outside with the huge door and this impression continues inside. Very well-kept atmosphere. There is an indoor area and an outdoor area.We spent Valentine's Day there in the evening with a menu. You could choose from 2 menu sequences with appropriate wine accompaniment. My husband had menu order 1, I had 2. Everything was perfect and on point. We had the menu without wine accompaniment. From the first course to the last everything was excellent. The service was also friendly and very good. At the end there was a little surprise in the form of an extra dessert. Everything was perfect except for the noise of the planes that flew directly over the restaurant that evening after taking off from the airport, which meant we were sometimes limited in our entertainment. If you want to come by car, no problem, there is parking right in front of the restaurantParking: Right in front of itWheelchair accessibility: Rather difficult because of the stairs at the entrance

We went to 53 By The Sea to celebrate our 10th anniversary. We had a table by the window at the patio, so we had a great view on Diamond Head and the ocean. It was gorgeous at night time.I had the Granchio Pasta and my boyfriend ordered the pork chops. The food was delicious. The service was excellent. They brought us a slice of cake as a gesture for our anniversary. It was an excellent evening.
