Picked up some ramen while here in Pleasant Hill and Ramen flavors are 10/10! The portion size is very generous and quality of food is out of this world. Ordered gyoza, tako yaki, and garlic black oil ramen. Appetizers were really good. I would give them a try. Taste very authentic to Japanese cuisine. Rating it a 3 stars because I didnt enjoy the texture of the noodles as much. I was expecting another type of 'ramen' noodle consistency. Overall try it out!

Great Spot for ramen, the staff are nice and the broth and noodles are good. However the pork and egg were mediocre. Overall, a decent spot with nice hours though for a quick ramen.

We were in the area shopping so just stopped by for a quick meal. The ramen place is within this underground Japanese food court area but it's nicer than a regular food court. I ordered seafood volcano ramen and my fiancé had a shoyu ramen. Don't worry that you don't know how to handle the volcano ramen as the server will help you out! I really like the "fire" flavor in the seafood soup and it was perfect to mix rice after you are done with the noodles. 5 star for a not so fatty ramen if you are like me!

This place is located inside a Japanese food hall with many other small restaurants. We had a bigger group and this place was the only one that had availability to seat us. We all had ramen. Shockingly, they have no vegan options as all of their broth is meat broth. I asked them to hold the meat and still did not enjoy my dinner. Other members of our group had meat and commented on how fatty it was. Service was fine. Considering the price, this is not a worthy place to visit.

Really good ramen and service. We will return. We ordered the beef Kazan, spicy ramen and fried chicken. They were all good. The waiter service was also great. Our water was filled without having to find the sever. The spicy ramen was not too sweet spicy where your mouth becomes numb so that was good. Place was clean and the food came quickly.

Good Ramen with tasty broth. Quick service and friendly staff. Mom enjoyed it so that was the main thing!

This ramen restaurant was the worst I ever had, it was a waste of dinner time I wish I had the bbq grill on the beach at my hotel instead. It was like a bowl of pork fat, arteries clogging which can send you to the ER, the gyozas were so so salty, what were they thinking?? They also had pickled radish in the filling the taste was weird, I could not eat it. The ramen shop next door had their Tonkotsu ramen for $2.75 cheaper but it was so crowded, I chose this place because it looked cozier, big mistake at least I didn't order their volcano ramen which would cost like $22 n probably a disaster! Sorry only 1 Star.

I really wanted to write up a better review about this place, but due to a unfortunate incident where a critter decided to join us for lunch this past Saturday...........I had to doc a star off of the Yelp scale! My friend likes noodles, and I told her that I would take her to Waikiki for some noodles, so long as she would accommodate me towards my quest on getting my checkerboard cake at - Waikiki Tea. Lol! Finding a noodle joint was easy, as I suggest going to the "Yokocho Japanese Food Hall" inside of the Waikiki Shopping Plaza. As we arrived at the Japanese food court, we decided to walk around the food court area to check out the various vendors that sold noodles, and that's how we ended up at - "Tonkotsu Kazan Ramen". Upon getting seated at Tonkotsu Kazan Ramen, we were greeted right away, then shortly after glasses of water & menus were dropped off at our table. After looking over the menu, my friend ended up ordering the Tonkotsu Shoyu Ramen with a side of Karaage Chicken & Salad. For me, I'm not into the ramen thing so I ended up ordering the Fried Chicken Curry Bowl. We also ordered a side of Yaki Gyoza to share. What can I say about the grub? I liked the way they delivered my Fried Chicken Curry, as the dish was served in a very hot stone bowl. When my curry came out, I could see the curry still bubbling in the bowl! On the down side, for $12.00 bucks, I mostly got rice & curry.........because if you look at my pic, you will only see 3 small pieces or fried chicken that wasn't even fried crispy at all. Shucks! My friend enjoyed her Tonkotsu Shoyu Ramen, so I was pretty happy about that, and her side of Karaage Chicken & Salad was a great item to have to compliment her ramen meal. Although we had a nice lunch, I will have to talk about the little critters that joined us for lunch............as I was talking to my friend, I notice 2 small cockroaches crawling around in the restaurant. One very small cockroach was crawling on the table next to us, and the other cockroach was crawling on the wall just behind our table. I did not say anything about the cockroaches to my friend, as I didn't want to freak her out, & ruin our meal. Lol! I just hope she didn't noticed my wandering eyes, when I saw them roaches! Y.I.K.E.S.!!!! When I saw the roaches, it just put the Genki Sushi (Kailua-Kona) incident in my head! Lol! Service - Service was attentive, after placing our food order, we got our food pretty quickly. When we ran out of water, the waiter refilled our glasses without having to ask. Tip - BONUS! If you're Kama'aina..............this business gives a 10% discount! A very nice touch to get the locals into Waikiki! If it weren't for the little visitors............I would give this place a solid "3", as the food was okay, but not great.

Our first time having Volcano Ramen! The concept is very interesting and unique. The Tonkatsu soup is very flavorful. However I wish there are more toppings/meat other than just cabbages. The noodles are very well cooked and chewy.

Needed a place to take part of the family to for a late Saturday night dinner. Didn't want to deal with the usual weekend chaos at Shirokiya (learned my lesson before!) and we wanted to stroll around Waikiki/Kalakaua Ave. afterwards, so I took a big gamble and stopped by Yokocho for grub. Had to wait a short while for a table here but all in all was worth the wait. I wasn't feeling ramen so tried their sizzling hot stone bowl chicken curry dish; happy with my decision! Rest of the family had ramen which they said was pretty standard. Will be back again in the future!

Located in Waikiki Yokocho. The Tantanmen broth is mildly spicy and very delicious. Order a side of gyoza for a perfect meal pairing. The menu offers a very nice selection. I'll definitely need to try the other ramen at my next visit, especially the volcano ramen. Parking available in building structure from $7-10, depending on the day and/or time you go there (cash only!). There is an ATM machine on the same floor as Waikiki Yokocho just in case you need cash.

Super tasty Tan-Tan Men. Generous serving and delicious karaage chicken, OTS. The dry noodle option is also pretty tasty and refreshing with the chopped cucumbers and bean sprouts. Gratuity is already included on the check so be advised.

My go to spot in Waikiki Yokocho. If I find myself wandering Waiks looking for noods, I know I can find a good meal at Kazan. My favorite is their dry noodles, but sadly it's only available for lunch. It's awesome that they have garlic available on every table, and they have a cool volcano ramen for those eating for the 'gram. Kazan is all the way in the back, so try not to get distracted by all the other stalls. They've got good dumplings and yummy ramen.
