Tropics Pub has the dive bar feel but better drinks and food. We stopped by Tropics for dinner with friends. I had the shrimp tacos and they were substantial and delicious. My husband got the Makai tacos and they were also delicious. There was a mix up with our bill and the waitress was serving too many tables for 1 person. I felt terrible for her. Other than that it was a great experience.

Terrible service/experience.This place looked promising, I like dive bars and hole in the wall pub’s so we gave it a try. Once inside we found plenty TVs, pool tables, and live band setup. The waitress came, asked for IDs before ordering drinks, IDs provided, for no known reason I was requested/required to show my debit/credit card along with my drivers license, I’m well over the age of 21 and this made no sense. It was not requested/required for others at the table. I was then told that without showing my debit/credit card I would not be served.Needless to say, we left and walked down street to a much better bar with fantastic service and food. I would NOT recommend Tropics Waikiki Pub.

The food was good, but the 9 chips on the side isn’t quite enough to be considered a side. The burrito was good. The fish tacos weren’t that expensive, but it was only two small tacos. While we were seated we watched 3 groups come, sit down at the empty tables available, which were all dirty, and then leave after waiting five minutes and getting no service. The potential is here, and it appeared that there was enough staff if the people behind the bar cared enough to work. Three were mostly standing around while one waitress did all the bussing and serving.

The food was edible but nothing I would eat again and the portions were so small we need to go eat a second dinner. Server was nice and quick. Would not recommend at all!

This is hands down one of the best bars in Honolulu! Great food, great drinks, and great ambience!Parking: The restaurant is in the Discovery Bay building, which has a parking garage attached. When you come in, get a parking ticket and you get it validated for really cheap parking.
Food was very below average and very much so not worth it. The whole menu online is apparently not updated, so you’re paying 1/3 more. Ordered 3 burritos that were supposed to come with all these fixings and all we got was barely some scraps of fish and lettuce. Really

Skip this place. The food and the atmosphere were pretty bad. The nachos had fake guac and fake cheese. The Pollo Loco sandwich will make you think twice of ever ordering a chicken sandwich again.

I went to the beach and came back to the hotel late at night and didn't have a good place to go, but it was nice that it was open until late at night. The atmosphere was so exciting that thanks(?) I drank a lot lol.

Great bar, good drink specials and an amazing atmosphere for football games, trivia and other events. If you get a chance to go here during a Chiefs game I can definitely recommend! Darren is the Chiefs man and an absolute awesome dude!

Management must have changed, we come here on every trip to Oahu. The Pizza was horrible and the portion of nachos were small and cheaply made. We will take this place of the list. Don’t waste your money and time at Tropics.
