We ate dinner and lunch here during our hotel stay and both meals had great experiences. The food was great, the service / staff was excellent. We will definitely be eating here when we stay in the future.

Great for special occasions, the patio view of the ocean is beautiful. Food was quality. I just didn't find our waitress had much to say when we asked about different dishes and drinks. Kind of expected more from a high end location.

Lovely dinner with delightful quiet open air seating. We had a mix of appetizers and salads, all delicious. Scallops, Black cod and ahi for mains. Again, delicious. Dessert was split and we all enjoyed bites of crème brûlée and a chocolate cake. It's so nice to be able to enjoy wonderful food, with attentive service in a beautiful quiet environment. Will be back!

My girlfriend and I had a lovely steak, lobster and drinks with a perfect view of the sunset and our waitress was outstanding. The restaurant was surprisingly empty for perfect views

We always enjoy Happy Hour at Wai'Olu Ocean Cuisine, and this time the service, ambiance and the setting were all excellent. The food was also excellent, except for one item. The Shrimpburger has always been one of my favorites, but it would appear the new ownership overlooked the need for shrimp in the sandwich, as they were not there. The sandwich did have a shrimp paste of sorts, but was lacking taste and, as I indicated, shrimp. Overall experience was good, and Kelly was outstanding, but .........

Excellent service. Waitress was very helpful and attentive. Food was delicious. The California roll with Alaskan crab, the miso black cod and the scallops were all excellent. Mai tai was top notch. Surprise birthday brownie was great touch to a wonderful birthday dinner with a nice sunset view!

For 14 years, I've cherished this place. The staff is incredibly friendly, with Sally standing out as exceptionally warm. The sushi and rolls are consistently delightful. Highly recommended!

Food was great. However, it was really cold, rainy, and windy out and one of the workers decided to pull up the shades which made the windy situation in the restaurant worse. I understood why he did it because he wanted patrons to enjoy the view of the skyline but I felt it was highly unnecessary given the current weather conditions.

Normally I don't eat at a Trump restaurant due to pricing. While in Hawaii I decided to try this restaurant and actually enjoyed it. The cocktails were good and seafood was fresh. I enjoyed the entreescand desserts. Our server was AMAZING. She catered to our every need and made me feel very comfortable while there. She was genuine in all she did while serving us. She deserves an award and letter from Donald Trump for her display of genuine customer service according to Standard Operating Procedures. Being a member of the National Press Club of Washington DC and certified in customer service, I take customers service very seriously. When in hawaii take time to enjoy this restaurant for its scenery, atmosphere, cocktails, food and ask for Sally K as server. ENJOY!!!

Quiet oasis for a romantic dinner date! Cod was prepared perfectly & each bite melted in your mouth. I was worried about the wasabi mashed potatoes but had nothing to fear as The dash of wasabi enhanced all the flavors with over powering.

My wife and I had our 23rd wedding anniversary dinner here. Excellent choice! The staff and waiters were friendly, helpful, and attentive. They even greeting us with "Happy Anniversary!" as soon as we walked in the door. The ambiance was relaxing, quiet, and scenic, with a view of the Fort Derussy park, the ocean, and the festive lights of all the other hotel buildings on New Year's Eve. One reason why the atmosphere was so peaceful was that most of the seating is outdoors or on a veranda, so we didn't any echoing clanking of dishes, nor any conversations from adjacent tables. The food was excellent, though not many choices. What we appreciated is that we didn't need to wait a long time for the food, as we sometimes do at other upscale restaurants. Some of the staff had strong Japanese accents, so they were a bit hard to understand, yet they were always friendly. Our waiter's English was excellent.

We thought we were eating breakfast at Wai'Olu Ocean Cuisine, but they don't serve breakfast, so our reservation was at In Yo Cafe around the corner, next to the pool. We had a party of 9 and they were able to accommodate us without a problem. Although the staff was very friendly and offered good suggestions, they did miss a few drink orders. Other than that, it was fantastic. We opted for the breakfast buffet and it was well stocked. Staff cleared empty plates very quickly and they even provided to-go boxes for some of our leftovers. Something you don't usually see at a buffet. Finally, they presented my wife with a birthday dessert, on the house. How nice.

On the right is the practically glowing, glistening 10 piece sushi omakase, presented on this really nice wooden serving plate last time I was at Wai'olu. On the left is the same order recently. Twenty bucks more. Notice any difference? Does the sushi look as good? Where's my cool wooden plate? Not impressed.
