What a gem this place is! Had it last night on the islands and it beat everything we ate all week. Ordered the prime rib eye (cooked to perfection), big island abalone, octopus from Japan, on Choy with scallop, horuman rare, and fried rice. It reminded me the teppan we had in Japan. No frills no tricks just damn good food cooked to perfection. I give it 6 stars if I could. Go try it!

Parking: We were prepared for a challenge with parking but went on a Sunday and was able to park right in front of the restaurant.

Seafood tama is highly recommended. Prices are very reasonable. Worth a detour for quality and price.

The Okonomiyaki sauce was too sweet for my taste, but everything else was good. I would try again.

I don't know where the commentors ate oknomiyaki before, but I'm sure it wasn't in the Kansai area. What service. Rude attitude. I wanted to leave as soon as we sat down, but the people I was with wanted to stay.Never again.

Small little restaurant but the food is amazing. We got spicy cold cucumbers for appetizers, very refreshing. Mix negiyaki is recommended by our server also amazing. We can't stop eating the garlic fried rice, no kidding you need to try it to believe it. We sit at the bar area and watch the chef cook super fun to watch and eat good food at the same time. Definitely recommend this restaurant.

We had reservations at 5:00. At 6:15, while still eating and still ordering food we were given a "last call" by the waitress. When we made reservations we were never told of a time limit. We asked for the counter when we arrived and they said they had people coming right away. "Imma kuru" and the counter still was empty except for one man as we left. At 6:30, we asked about the dessert menu and was told too late as she gave us the last call, not in an apologetic tone but more sassy. I cannot believe it would take more than 10 minutes to give us dessert. At that point, they're were told to cancel the outstanding orders and give us our bill. It was too late as they were cooking the food on the teppan. The only shining star is Sho, the best server. He caught on to our frustrations and took over our table. He presented us with $268 bill for 3 of us. For a Japanese restaurant, I was very disappointed in the service. We used to come here a lot but will never return.

We didn't have reservations but we were taken right away and were seated at the counter. That turned out really well. We were able to see the amount pride and artistry that went into every piece of food. The quality of the food and flavors brought out by these masters are second to none. It's like being in Japan without the plane ride. There's a wonderful feeling of home when you are there. It's s a small and cozy restaurant that you'll want to come back to. The Modan-yaki and steak were my favorites of the evening.Highly recommended!

We stumbled upon this interesting place while searching out another restaurant that we passed on eating at. After reading reviews on Yelp it was apparent that that had re-opened in April 2923 after an extended closure. Additionally, they usually only take reservations but it was early and we were only a party of two. We quickly ordered and received two draft beers. The beer was cold and tasty but was lacking some bubbles. It was a bit flat. We ordered cold tofu (Hiyayaku) appetizer which was fresh and tasty and priced reasonably. I got the sautéed clams in garlic and butter while my dining partner ordered the pork okonomiyaki. The clams came out first and we watched as the chef and I assume, owner cooked them up. It was looking great with a decent amount of clams, until.......Until he divided them in half and sent one order to a different table! I was a bit in shock that my $18 order of clams (ala carte mind you) was going to consist of 8 medium small clams. Ugh. Really? The okonomiyaki was decent sized, thick, hot and tasty. The sauce was rich and savory alongside the mayo was a nice compliment to the pancake fresh off the tepanyaki grill. Overall very good place with stellar service but the small portion of clams was a disappointment and dropped my rating down a star.

I've been craving teppanyaki so bad since we got back from Japan the other month. I am SOOO happy that I stumbled upon this place!!!!We called ahead of time to make sure they had availability, which I recommend doing as the restaurant has limited seating inside. We came in not super hungry and I'm honestly really upset about it LOL I wish we had been starving. I wanted to try so many menu items, but we settled on the Pork Kimchi and Beef Modan-yaki.Pork Kimchi: Super flavorful, great portion for the price, tender meat and nice, crunchy, kimchi. Beef modan-yaki: I love that they let you put your own bonito and seaweed on top at the table. We split it into four quarters and yummmmm. So savory, perfect amount of sauce, not too much batter. It reminded me of the okonomiyaki I had in Osaka last month. We really really wanted to order more, but didn't want to stuff ourselves. Both of us agreed though - this will be a regular spot for us when we're on the island. Also, the service was fantastic. Both waitresses that helped us were incredibly friendly and kind!
