Prices are very decent here for quality of food you're getting! Fried oysters were delicious. All the beef we ordered was very well marbled and melt in your mouth. We ordered the garlic fried rice near the end of our meal and I'm so glad that I did. Super garlicky, make sure you order it when you come here! Will return for sure next time I'm back in Hawaii!Owners were super friendly as well!

It was more delicious than I expected (^^)The wife of the shop was also very kind and friendly, and the owner was also kind and friendly✌️If I go to Hawaii again, I will definitely go there ?Parking: I went twice, and the street parking lot happened to be empty, so I was able to park for free, although I think it was due to the time of day.

This is one of the top yakiniku restaurants in the United States. It's highly recommended, with a quality comparable to Japan's. I will visit again.

We found this amazing Japanese bbq restaurant by Google maps luck! Reservations are a good idea because it's a small place and very popular with locals. We got egg soup, two wagyu beef, one kalbi beef, and garlic rice. Everything was delicious! And the service was great!

Great food and great service! Small hidden location with street parking. The lunch set was definitely worth it with unlimited rice and soup. Got the Sukiyaki lunch set and it the wagyu rice bowl substituted with garlic rice. Delicious!

I wish I came here sooner! The selection of food here is excellent and the food itself was of high quality. This shop is a bit small - we got lucky and called ahead to see if there were openings since it was a last minute dinner and they had seats. I would recommend calling ahead though in case you're not as lucky. Everything was amazing. They have a selection of already cooked dishes and some that you can grill on your own. The staff there was super friendly and made great recommendations. I will definitely be back!

**Title: Hidden Gem in Honolulu - Yakiniku Sizzle Review**I recently had the pleasure of dining at Yakiniku Sizzle, a hidden gem located just a 10-minute Uber ride from Waikiki Beach in Honolulu, Hawaii. This unassuming "hole in the wall" restaurant turned out to be a delightful surprise.**Reservation Recommended for a Reason**Upon arriving, I quickly realized why reservations are recommended at Yakiniku Sizzle. The place is cozy and intimate, with a limited number of tables. We were fortunate to find a few open tables not marked for reservations, but I would advise calling ahead to secure your spot, especially during peak dining hours.**A Local's Paradise**Yakiniku Sizzle seems to be a well-kept secret among locals, and it's easy to see why. The owner, who is incredibly friendly, made us feel right at home. What sets this place apart is the personalized attention he provides to each guest. He offered invaluable advice on how to prepare and cook each type of meat, including recommendations on cooking times and the perfect dipping sauces.**A Conversation with the Owner**After our meal, we had the privilege of speaking with the owner outside the restaurant. He encouraged us and anyone else who would listen to venture off the beaten tourist path to experience his culinary creations. His passion for his craft was evident, and it was heartwarming to see a local business owner so dedicated to sharing his love for food with others.**A Feast for the Senses**The highlight of our evening was undoubtedly the food. Yakiniku Sizzle offers a variety of cuts, but I highly recommend splurging on the Wagyu and premium options. The quality and taste were exceptional, making every bite a true delight. Don't miss the garlic fried rice; it's the perfect accompaniment to the grilled meats and bursting with flavor.**Fair Prices for Outstanding Quality**What truly impressed me about Yakiniku Sizzle was the affordability considering the quality of the dining experience. The prices were more than fair for the delicious meal we enjoyed, making it accessible to both locals and visitors alike. In summary, Yakiniku Sizzle is a must-visit for anyone in Honolulu who appreciates exceptional food, personalized service, and a cozy dining atmosphere. Whether you're a seasoned traveler or a curious tourist, make the trip to this hidden gem, and savor the flavors that only a local treasure like Yakiniku Sizzle can offer.

I walked by or drove by this place many times but did not get to try, finally, today we decided to go. We were lucky to get a table without a reservation. I told them this is our first visit and they spend time to explain to us how to and what to order. The place is not that big, about 7 tables, street parking only. I saw a lot of local customers that speak Japanese in the restaurant, I guess they have a lots of regular goes there, the wait staffs and / or the owner talk story with the customer often. They were talking pretty loud at time, sometimes too loud. We ordered the fried oyster, very good and the oyster is juicy inside. We also order premium beef tongue, for $26, we get about 5 pieces of tongue which we think is way overpriced. We order the Ohana set for two people ($55), some of the meat are tender, but some are very tough. We also ordered the mix veg to grill ($7.95) Since it is still happy hour time, we also orders the marinaded washyugyu thick short rib, regular price is $20, happy hour drops to $12, we think that is a pretty good deal. We ordered the spicy soup, it was just right and hit da spot. Over all, the stuffs are very nice and friendly, dinner for two set us back $150 and we will be back to try some other dishes.

VERY good quality yakiniku restaurant right in the middle of the up and coming Ward area. The meats are so soft and fresh. The staff is very friendly. Prices are a little on the higher side, but you definitely get what you pay for. Top quality eating! Arigatou Gozaimasu!!

We want the Sizzle! We want the A5 Wagyu! We want Yakiniku Sizzle! This place is located at the corner of Cooke and Queen St., next to Niu Baguette and New Queen BBQ, across from Bookoff. There's only metered parking. It's a Japanese Yakiniku restaurant that offers A5 Wagyu and regular US Wagyu (which I don't recommend). They also have Nabe (need a one day advance reservation). If you don't want to pay an arm and a leg at Han no Daidokoro, come here! Very reasonable prices! The inside really has a Japanese feel to it.I came here twice. The first was during Happy Hour from 4-6pm. All alcohol $2 off and a few heavily discounted items (not your typical $1-2 off). The Washugyu Brisket ($6 off) was surprisingly disappointing as the meat was not tender even with different cooking times. The Marianted Thick Wagyushu Shortrib ($8 off) was much better. Just plop it on the grill and let it sizzle away. The meat was tasty and tender on this one.The Wagyu Tongue Stew ($6 off) is highly recommended!! The tongue was oh-so tender. The sauce was flavorful, and the portion was huge with four thick cuts. The Deep Fried Oysters were excellent. Fried and battered nicely and perfectly cooked oysters. The accompanying sauce was awesome. It was like a spicy mayo, but with a really good spice kick. When I ordered the Garlic Mushrooms, I thought I'd get a variety of mushrooms (as shown on the menu), but it was only button mushrooms. While garlicky and delicious and rich, the mushrooms were bathed in a lot of oil.I could've used that to oil the grill!Lastly, we ordered the A5 Wagyu Ribeye. You get one big thin slice, so make sure the grill is HOT--for the sizzle! You gotta have the char or else you're just cooking it...and lose its oil. The seasoning salt and wasabi were key and elevated the Uber rich and tender Wagyu. My second time, I came here for lunch and grabbed a Wagyu Roasted Beef Bowl (1/2 pound for $21.95). They have awesome lunch sets and lunch bowls!! It's a lot of rice, but also A LOT OF MEAT. Felt like 1/2 pound rice and 1/2 pound meat. The rice was perfectly cooked. Moist, each grain was separated, but slightly clung together, and also well seasoned. The beef was awesome. Thinly sliced, tender, and the accompanying sauce was very tasty and flavorful. Savory and umami. Glad they give two container! It was definitely quite filling.Overall, a solid experience at Yakiniku Sizzle. All the meats were quite fresh and the service was excellent. A wide variety of quality items throughout the menu. The Wagyu ribeye and the tongue were amazing. I'll definitely be back to have more lunch items and Yakiniku and A5 wagyuuu!

The food was not only delicious but also offered a truly authentic culinary journey of a small restaurant from Japan. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm and welcoming atmosphere that set the tone for the evening. The restaurant's ambiance transported me to a different world, making me feel like I was miles away from the hustle and bustle of daily life. Now, let's talk about the food. Every dish I tried was an absolute delight. The flavors were rich and full-bodied, showcasing the chef's expertise in creating authentic cuisine. Whether it was the perfectly seasoned appetizers, the mouthwatering beef curry, or the delectable desserts, each bite was a taste sensation. What truly sets Sizzle apart is its commitment to delivering an authentic experience.
