Really poor experience here. I ordered the combination sandwich and lemon grass chicken sandwich. Both were not authentically made: 1) They used day-old stale bread. 2) The combo did not have authentic Viet headcheese. It used white mayo and didn't have pate. 3) The lemongrass chicken, while not bad tasting, had curry seasoning with little, if any, lemongrass. Also, overly salty. 4) The young cashier (probably a student) was very pleasant when taking my order. It was when she asked if I needed any sauces that things went sour. After she went into the back, an older and colder cashier who was eavesdropping on our transaction decided to charge me for the sauce, even though she had nothing to do with my transaction. I'm guessing this is the b**** cashier that all the other reviewers are referencing. Lucky me. Do yourself a favor and run, don't walk from here - no matter how hangry you may be. These guys run under the guise of the "Ba Le" brand, but should be ashamed to offer such low quality. From where I stand, they just stole their sign.

Where's the negative star when you need one? Ordered two sandwiches for about $10 each last week. Asked to put veggies separate. Low and behold, it was full of the ultra cheap veggie daikon along with three shavings of carrot and two half broken cilantro sprigs. There were no cucumber, onion, or green pepper. I mean really, are you that cheap after a customer paid you $20 for two sandwiches?

Love the crispy noodles and teriyaki beef plate

I used to love this place but the quality has really gone downhill. I think in order to maintain affordable prices they've changed some ingredients to lower quality. Personally, I threw away half my food because it was grossing me out.

Have been a customer ever since they opened here. Did new owners take over??? Their food's quality has gone down drastically. The char siu sandwich had only 1/4 the amount of meat and the padnam was tasteless. What a huge loss for us on Maui.

Damn I've never wrote a bad review before and I never would have thought I'd write one for bale because because me n my family go there frequently and love it but holy s*** I'm so pissed at the rude customer service. Yes I had a large order 2 BBQ chicken plates, 2 Short rib plates, a Philly cheesesteak sandwich without parsley, one order crispy noodles and then I ask for just extra crispy noodles just the noodle part (which we always do) the lady taking my order gave out a huge sigh and said Oh my god really drastically so I immediately said oh sorry if it's hard we'll just go somewhere else. And she said ya bye. Wailuku Bale took our order Literally no problem and had the food ready so quick! 10-7-21 6:45pm is when we called the Kahului bale

We come here every time we vacation at Maui. The plaza is going down hill ever since the Great Recession but Be-Le is one that survived.

My family and I were in search of some good Vietnamese food while in Maui. It's located near the airport so we at there for supper before flying out. I ordered the sliced pork with shredded pork rice platter. The food was great! I really liked the nuoc cham dipping sauce. The customer service is mediocre. I tried the taro tapicoa dessert and was so content! It was a busy counter and it's setting is a good court. Thanks for the authentic Vietnamese cuisine!

Pork Chops are teriyaki style not the traditional style vietnamese pork chops that you get at a traditional vietnamese restaurant was more like L&L hawaiian bbq.

We recently visited Maui and were looking for a quick, fast-food, style lunch. The food court with Ba-Le was recommended by one of the locals. We shared a to go platter with spicy, lemon grass, chicken; rice; and Hawaiian macaroni salad. There are also soft drinks available to go. There is no indoor seating due to the global pandemic, but there are multiple outdoor tables just in front of the restaurant. The Ba-Le has an extensive menu, and the food is served hot. My dish was extremely spicy, so if you like it hot then this is the place for you!
