Manager outside cleaning a window while another worker is arguing about biscuits. Three people ahead of me requested and received refunds. One customer outside pissed, arguing with husband about what's taking so long. I just left without food to spare the poor people behind me which was clear would become the new frustrated group. I witnessed a complete meltdown of service. Happened 3/23/24 between 10-11 am

I’ve been eating chick fil a for over 10 yrs all over the US, and this was the first time I had an unpleasant experience. I ordered a kids meal (and 2 other regular meals) and told the employee not to give me the toy. He said we could swap the toy for an ice cream and we agreed, I asked him if we could just get the ice cream at the end of our meal since we didn’t want to eat it before/during our meal and didn’t want it to melt, well the employee said “he couldn’t” do that. It literally made no difference whether I got the ice cream right away or a couple of minutes later but he insisted “he couldn’t do it”. I decided not to continue going back and forth with the employee and just took the ice cream right then and there. To me it seemed like the employee was just being lazy because as I said, it made literally NO DIFFERENCE when I got the ice cream. We like to enjoy the ice cream AFTER our meal and we were basically forced to eat it before just because a poorly trained employee didn’t have any common sense or was just being lazy. And just to clarify, I’ve made this same request at several other establishments and they always accommodated my request, which was not even complicated at all. Literally made zero sense. I love chick fil a but this was honestly just baffling.
