It’s not fancy but it’s clean and food is consistently great. You can tell by the 80/20 mix of locals to visitors If we want Mexican food on Maui it’s Piñatas for sure!

The food was good, and they are very nice. I would come here again. I got the kitchen sink burrito, and it was good, nothing amazing but good. I would recommend the tamales.Vegetarian options: You can have anything made vegetarian

Stopped in here for lunch and was glad I did. The food coming out of the kitchen all looked good and fresh. All items are made to order so you will have a short weight before your food arrives. The service was exceptional. I don't know if it was the owner or not but the woman who helped take my order went above and beyond to answer all my questions and explain some of the menu items so I would get exactly what I was hungry for. I left with more than one meal because everything looked so good that I wanted something to go. The nachos were enough for two, and the chimichanga was crisp and loaded. I was also very impressed with the amount of extras you could add for free. For sure it would be an extra charge at most other places. The atmosphere is decorated in the style you would expect. Overall a Mexican feel but I would say a few touch ups and attention to details could help to bring the place together but definitely nothing that you would care about once your food arrives and get your first taste.

My husband, my mother-in-law and I found this hidden gem & now can't get enough. The staff are friendly, courteous, helpful and thoughtful. I have a food allergy to onions and they went above & beyond to make sure I didn't get sick.Everything on the menu is delicious but my favorite is bean burritos on flour tortillas. Make sure you come hungry tho the portions are huge.

I'm from California and I eat a good portion of mexican food. Was extremely satisfied with the quality of the food and the flavors. I got a wet "kitchen sink" burrito wih grilled chicken. The red sauce was thick and tasty. Lots of flavor I don't normally find else where, and the distribution of ingredients in the burrito was perfect. I highly recommend this place!

Had a great lunch here! I had the chicken enchiladas with verde sauce and it was so delicious. The rice and beans are also super flavorful and I liked them a lot especially topped with their salsa that was quite tasty, they have several different salsas available to buy and what I got was really good! My family all enjoyed what they got as well. Was a flavorful place to eat at and was exactly what I was craving!

Underwhelming, very underwhelming…. but might still be better than other Mexican food places that you’ll find in Hawaii. We got steak burritos, salsa & chips and Guac. Guac was purely made of mashed avocados. No flavor. needed more salt, lime juice, tomatoes and onions… The chips lacked any flavor… the salsa was like watered down spicy tomato sauce.. .. the burritos were barely wrapped, I’d say they were ‘folded’. Burritos tasted ‘fine’ at best. Would I come back here again? No.

The food was absolutely delicious, I especially liked the grilled mushrooms. Although I prefer to eat vegan, I often request refried beans (that are traditionally made with lard.). When I mentioned this to the owner, she assured me that her refried beans are always made with plant based oil. One of the oils that she said she sometimes uses is peanut oil. The result could not have tasted better. However, if you’re allergic to peanuts, you should make sure that peanut oil is not being used that day. It’s not an ingredient that I would ordinarily be watching out for in a Mexican restaurant.
