Our cashier Ren was so nice! Gave us the full Aloha service! Was extremely accommodating with providing a variety of gluten free options and not just generic GF pancakes but a variety of flavors. Nice comfortable indoor and outdoor seating. Short drive to the beach if you want to take your food and go eat at the beach. The macadamia pancakes were amazing. Super fluffy and moist eggs were cooked to perfection in. The spam was delicious! 10 out of 10 would highly recommend!Dietary restrictions: Gluten Free options

CASH ONLY (ATM in shopping center or at the drug store). We loved 808 Grindz in Maui so we had to check out their Big Island location. We got the 808 Grindz breakfast, short stack pancakes, eggs with cheese (for kids) and the 808 Grindz friend rice. Their guava juice is also fantastic. Food was delicious.

Best breakfast I've had on any of the Hawaiian Islands!! Expertly prepared breakfast fried rice. Maple bacon mac nut pancakes were at least worthy of a Michelin star. 808 Grindz should not be overlooked. I loved the hometown, family run vibe. It's by far not fancy, which in my opinion is a good thing. It's a place that makes you feel like your home. Incredibly friendly and efficient service with food so damn good you walk away feeling like you should have paid WAY more money for. Which, by the way, there is a tip jar at the front counter that you should absolutely use. Mahalo 808 Grindz, I'll be counting down the days until I come back for more!!

We were greeted by a gentleman who was always smiling, seemed to truly enjoy what he was doing. They were quick, efficient, and accurate with our order. Although, maybe it's a locals thing, but the steak was not steak- it was ground beef. The hashbrowns were excellent! The seafood omelet was delicious. Their guava drink was yummy. You seat yourself, and if the tables are full outside, they said it's okay to order and then switch to outside. Overall, we came here to fill up- mission accomplished.

A legit breakfast place to be certain. The other positive reviews are spot on. Friendly staff greeted us immediately, and helped us with choices. The meals are priced well and comparable to other local breakfast places. Food only took about 10 minutes to come out, and was delicious. Enjoyed benes and pancakes: the vanilla macadamia nut topping is too die for, and the cakes are fluffy and huge. Cakes are a meal unto themselves; you've been warned! We'll be back the next time we're on The Big Island.Parking: Plenty available in the mall lot.

Went here for breakfast and was not disappointed! Food was excellent (looking at you Kalika-pig Benny with grilled potatoes), and service was incredibly kind and fun with my 1-year old. Recommend if you are looking for a breakfast joint without frills but capitalizes on great food and great people.
