Very cute concept with great seating concepts. We went on a Sunday morning when the service wasn’t welcoming. Had a nine dollar mocha with weak coffee and zero flavor. I didn’t bother to finish. Overall pretty disappointing.

I went in February. My bagel sandwich was good! Not great, but good. However, I got charged $17.00 for it. For a bagel with avocado and cream cheese. I contacted Bikini Bottom's Coffee stating I thought I was overcharged, and they never responded. The lack of communication is the reason for my low rating. I totally understand that mistakes happen. Even if they had responded to tell me that their bagels actually do cost $17, I would be writing a different review (I might not go back, but I’d be more accepting of the charge!) BUT…to completely ignore a customer who thinks they were overcharged is very bad customer service. I was bummed by the lack of communication.

Local chill vibes. Felt like we were in a small town coffee shop. The music was awesome, and I wish I could remember our barista’s name because he was so friendly. The açaí bowl was good but felt it was a little overpriced, even for being on the island. The real reason for this review is the coffee. When I say this was the best coffee I’ve ever had, it was the best coffee I’ve ever had. Went to a few other local coffee shops but nothing stood up to this. It was your standard, black, drip coffee but holy cow was it smooth and so flavorful. It was so good we called them and asked what they were brewing. They get this coffee specially delivered, so you won’t find the beans to buy anywhere on the island. They did tell us what coffee farm they get it from and you bet your bikini bottom we made the drive to get some beans. Also, the person we spoke to on the phone was super friendly.Disregard other reviews… most lower reviews mention the food, but who goes to a coffee shop for the food? Great service, great coffee. Go here and grab a brew, you won’t regret it.

Edit: my previous review was very short and written on the run so I have added more pics/details. I promise I actually ate the bowl, it just wasn’t my fav (I have tried a few on the island). The acai was icy and didn’t have a ton of flavor. The granola wasn’t tasty either. Not worth $15 which is why I recommend Kona Wave instead. The vibes in the restaurant itself were cute and staff was nice. They may have great coffee and ice cream (I don’t know) but if you are going for the acai, I wouldn’t go.

This place smells nice when you walk in and has good music playing. It's very clean, organized and the açaí bowl I had was BOMB. Great consistency, the fruit was perfectly ripe, and they added seeds and nuts for a nice crunch. Rachel was helpful and sweet and added to an already great experience. 10/10

Best coffee on the Big island! Great tasting espresso and they care enough to use top quality oat milk! I switched from cow to oat milk last year. In this year’s trip to the big island, I have found most of the coffee shops on the island use terrible, I mean horrible, tasting oat milk. Bikini Bottom uses Silk brand and it is creamy, delicious and blends wonderfully with their coffee.I found most of the coffee shops are using Kirkland brand oat milk (yes, I saw the carton and even asked after purchasing several un-drinkable lattes) which tastes awful and leaves a bad after taste, several lattes I couldn’t even finish they were so bad, and at $8+ a latte, it’s an expensive disappointment.I tried all the coffee shops on the island this year, and this place is by far the best. Thankfully, I found Bikini Bottoms (sponge bob’s domain). Thank you for caring enough to serve quality alternative milk to create a yummy latte!!! ☕️Also, the baristas are super friendly, professional and make great lattes! When I visited, there was only one person working and each did an amazing job working alone. It takes a talented multi tasker to take orders, make food and drinks, and sell products, all on their own. Kudos to the baristas!

Not easy to find but was amazing and lovely. The gelato looked even better But had a full belly and could not partake, next time we will. Quick turnaround and lovely selection of drinks. Appreciate the quality and kind service

This spot is equipped with the cutest view of Kona's adorable downtown. In sight is a banyan tree, and the deck is cute hodge podge decor and looks like a hip grandma's living room. The coffee is excellent and I highly recommend stopping in. Friendly staff adds to the experience.
