I highly recommend this gelato business! It is the perfect place to go and get some gelato, and then walk across the street and watch the sun set into the beautiful Pacific Ocean. Plus, there are lots of shops to browse around before you go satisfy your sweet tooth.

We came by twice but only got gelato once because there was such a long line. This is not to complain. This is to say that the gelato is THAT good. I got a scoop of the tom kha along with the lilikoi cream and it may have been the best frozen dessert experience of my life. It's like what I always hope ice cream will be but rarely is. You should definitely believe the hype. Gypsea Gelato is THAT GOOD.

Wha?!?!This place was recommended to us by a family friend who lives on the big island. Now, don't be alarmed by the big fancy menu and all the steps. It's EZHere's what you order:Chocolate, Chocolate, chocolate, and chocolate. If chocolate is not your thing, then I can't help ya here bud. I guess they have other flavors too, but you'd be doing your taste buds a disservice. It was really good gelato. Not maybe as good as direct in Italy, but you know, 99/100 ain't too shabby.Side note: they still do COVID stuff here: there's them 'stay 6ft apart' circles outside and they only let one person in at a time. So that brought back some neat memories I had almost forgotten LMAO

This ice cream is so good. I love the Thai ginger one, lilikoi, and the toasted coconut! It's all so yummy! Doesn't make you feel heavy for bloated either!

We got the butterfinger gelato, it was great for what it was. It definitely had nice chucks of butterfinger.

The gelato was delicious- there were many flavors to choose from. I had the salted Carmel/Banana Sorbet-you can choose two flavors. My daughter had the Oreo/just chocolate. This is a must try dessert place ? if you’re in the Kona area!!! It is was smooth and delicious… do not leave without giving it a try!-Ashley from Gilbert,AZ
This is def not gelato, it's watery/icy and does not have the right texture. There aren't many good dessert options so I can see why this is popular, but wouldn't return. It's also extremely expensive for what it is.

This is not gelato.. not even close, and if it’s ice cream it’s lame. Not quality ice cream… diluted flavor. Not worth the $16 for 2 “medium” servings with 2 smallish scoops each. A total rip off.

The gelato was OK, but nothing special. They did not have enough workers so we waited a long time. We thought the prices were high, $6.50 for a small size. No prices were posted outside either, so we didn't really know price until we went inside on our turn. The worst part however, was the parking. There is only pay parking and the gelato place doesn't validate. We did eventually find free parking along the highway. I guess my comparison is gelato in Italy and this doesn't come close to the taste of that.
