This is the best place to eat in the town. Romantic and beautiful. We celebrate our anniversary here every year and we travel from Arizona.

Fabulous view. Right on the reef. Innovative island cocktails. Killer Ono fish and kona coffee cheesecake. Recommend the poke appetizers and great salads.? And the Ribs!Ate here and the adjacent On The Rocks (cocktails and nice pulled pork sliders) four times. We're hapless Huggos addicts! No; I'm not on the payroll.Parking: FREE Parking voucher

Loved everything about this place a our waiter was a fantastic older gentleman with a great sense of humor. Beautiful ocean views and the food is amazing! If ordering the Big Bamboocha drink, it is best not to plan on driving afterwards lol.

It had good reviews downtown, and when I first came out to On the Rocks, I passed by and went to have a cocktail because the atmosphere was nice. I ordered a Hawaiian cocktail from the menu and it was pretty good. It was okay to be unfriendly up to this point. I came back for a second meal. I think it took almost 15 minutes to order. The server seemed like it would never come. I endured it until this point. Anyway, I ordered sashimi and asked for a recommendation for a wine to go with it, but they brought me an open bottle of wine (there was only one open bottle) and served it to me. Normally, when asking for a wine recommendation, the standard of American restaurant service is to first suggest a few types of wine from which region, so I was quite unhappy (actually, I've only been in the U.S. for a year... sorry). Even though they served me, they didn't tell me what kind of wine it was, so after I asked, they only gave me the region and name, but there was no explanation. I've been living in the U.S. for about a year, but this was my first time experiencing something like this, and I wondered if this was racism. And the wine wasn't that good, so I ordered a martini a second time. The martini tasted like water, probably due to the misuse of melted ice. It was the worst martini I've had since I first had it (well, it's only been about 4 years...). Now that I look back and think about it, it was so unfriendly that I wonder if it was racial discrimination. The atmosphere seems to be the best in the area, so if you can bear it, I recommend a visit. We recommend drinking the cocktails that are on the menu. The on the rocks cocktail next to this is also delicious. Both have great atmosphere. The reviews were so good that I went for cocktails at first. The cocktails were moderately good. The atmosphere is first class. The second time I went for dinner and drinks. I wasn't that hungry so I ordered sashimi, which was okay but not the best. I asked them to recommend a wine to pair with it, but they just served the wine without any explanation or comment. I thought, how could they be so unkind? I ordered a martini a second time. It tasted almost like water because they didn't adjust the amount of ice. It was the worst Martini I've ever had in 4 years. I recommend ordering popular dishes and cocktails from the recommended menu. I would say the atmosphere is top notch, but they are very unfriendly.

Love this place!! Sunset meal that blew us away!!!The great: our server Marley’s attitude set the mood for a great meal. She was amazing. The sunset view took our breath away. The fish entrees, while just a little pricey were worth every penny.Drinks were great but couldn’t tell if light on the alcohol or if mixers did a great job masking the boozey flavor.Got a table for two at peak hours (5:45) immediatelyRoom for improvement: I like a little more liquor in my drinks for the price. They were too delicious/sweet, like a juice… so they were almost gone a minute after they hit the table… I like to sip on mine over the course of a meal. But still, great drinks. Maybe make ‘em a little bigger or add more liquor. The Cajun seared tuna app was also a little on the small side. Although, It was a perfect cut of tuna unlike what I can get on the mainland. Everything on the plate was grade A. I just wish it was a little more food, otherwise I would have ordered one for each of us.Altogether this was a 5 star meal. I think if you wanna have one of the best meals of your life you can have that here, but know it will be pricey and you may have to wait a lil for service. During the wait, take the time to unwind, enjoy the atmosphere, get to know your server, and order the most expensive stuff on the menu — and a whole lot of it and you will leave here really blown away.

This was our second time here and again a wonderful experience. First, of course, the ocean side location is the perfect atmosphere for a relaxing dinner. Our waitress Cynthia was the absolute BEST which attributed greatly to our evening. We ordered the Teriyaki Steak again as it's just so good, also a nice size Caesar salad and the freshly made focaccia bread was melt in your mouth! We had the Mai Tai which was the best we've had this trip. We ended our meal with the delicious Chocolate Macadamia Pie and the sunset. We'll be back next year!

Food is great but the venue absolutely is what blows this place out of the park. All of our food was delicious but I will come back here, whenever I am lucky enough to come back to the Big Island, for the vibes and ocean mist.

Great location. However, the food did not warrant the price. Our au gratin potatoes were burnt on the bottom - not brown, black! And the waitress' answer, "Yes, the chef burned them tonight." The steak was good but I had to send it back to get it cooked to medium as I'd asked for. My friend had a fish dsh and really enjoyed it. We were very disappointed.
