It was just "OK." The food is very expensive IMHO. I ordered the duck, which was OK, but the mashed potatoes were barely warm. I would have returned them but the server never came by until we were nearly finished with dinner. Probably not going back any time soon.

Not like it used to be. Really sad to see how it has changed. It used to be our favorite go to. We also have been sending our customers there, several each week, but after tonight’s unfriendly service I will think twice. Our waitress was fine, not present, but not rude. It was what appeared to be the manager that was extremely unfriendly and acted annoyed that we didn’t have a reservation for the bar. Didn’t know that was a thing. They had plenty of seats. Keep that up and they will likely have plenty more. Sad that our old favorite has lost their small town aloha feel.

Everything at Kenichi Pacific was wonderful. The food was all perfectly cooked, service was outstanding, and our meals came out promptly. I had the Manapuas as appetizer, others ordered calamari and beef carpaccio which I did sample. All were delicious. My entree was the Ono. Again, it was perfect. My son had the seafood trio, which he loved. My grandchildren had California Rolls, Aspen rolls, the filet mignon, and buttered pasta for the youngest. All were devoured. I would highly recommend this restaurant for traditional Japanese dishes and seafood.

The sushi was very good. The service seemed a little slow and unorganized---perhaps they were missing servers that night as it was the manager who served us. A very varied menu including non-sushi items.

Wow! We expected the food to be good, but it was fantastic! We had upside down dim sum, steamed vegetables, sushi roll of the day, grilled fish of the day, green salad, flourless chocolate cake, bananas foster. As we completed devouring each item, we kept thinking that the next dishes that were coming couldn't possibly be as good. But they were! I mean how do you make steamed vegetables be amazing? All I can say is, they were amazing!

Kenichi has Happy Hour when they open at 4:30pm, but only in the bar. It's a substantial discount on rolls and drinks. So, people show up as early as 4pm to stand/sit on line to get into the bar area. We did that again, and had some great sushi rolls at a great price. The rice is tender, the rolls are well made and the fish is exceedingly fresh. This is a deal that can''t be beat. On top of that, the bar staff at this place are top notch and keep up with the happy hour crowd as a matter of course. If you want an elevated experience, the dining room is very nice, as is the sushi bar. For a bargain though, the happy hour is the bomb.

Enjoyed our meal there , we both had Kapachi which is a very tasty fish grown here on the island ! The only thing we thought they were a little skimpy on the asparagus ! Would have been nice to have more than two! Shrimp appetizer was good as well as the dessert! Waitress was very good and attentive! Drinks good!

Waitress was awesome, food not so much. The tempura ice cream is a definite no.
Worst sushi I've ever had and that isn't an exaggeration. The sauce was sickenly sweet and the flavor was subpar. The fish quality wasn't great either. Avocado Mac nut salad wasn't bad but it's hard to mess up a salad

We tried to go to happy hour, but they apparently only serve it in a small section of the restaurant, and the whole bigger empty section, where they could actually sit us, was not happy hour-worthy. Misleading at least :(

I didn't appreciate the owner's attitude. We arrived little after 4:30pm, the happy hour has started and table was already full and we were told to wait. After 1 hour waiting, around 5:45pm, we went back to check and saw many empty table but the owner didn't want to give us a seat. Clearly he didn't want to let us eat during a happy hour. The owner should've told us upfront if he didn't want to take any more happy hour customer, then we didn't have to waste our time over one hour. He even told us "please go somewhere else" . No apology for waiting. Dishonest, don't care about customer, I did not appreciate it and it was a sad experience.

We got beautiful, authentic Bento Boxes to go for our day at the beach. They were absolutely delicious! Highly recommend for a picnic. We got the blackened cod bento box, the salmon bento box, and the tamago sushi box.
