Service has went downhill severely in the last few years. Food was ok but service took forever and they were not even very busy on this Monday night. 15-20 minutes to get a drink and food service was sporadic. They also nickel and dime you for any extras. $0.75 for a tablespoon of tarter sauce M or $1.00 for a tablespoon of pickled jalapeños that came with the order? Sorry, but after this experience won't be back again until under new management.

On 2*22*2022, I proposed to my partner & coordinated a Buffett style lunch for after wards with Ryan. We came to an agreed upon price for a party of 16 which was reasonable. Two of those individuals have dietary restrictions. I believe his name was Kyle, he was our host and I was beyond impressed with the service he provided. He stayed with us the entire time to ensure our needs were met. Don't think there was a moment I had an empty glass. There was an abundance of food, all of which was delicious! There was not one negative thing to be said about the food from my family! We were taken care of amazingly and words can not describe how grateful I to the staff for ensuring my family was taken care of! I was too drunk to ask if there was a glass with the Tropic Taphouse logo but if there is, we would love to have you send us some so we may advertise your location! Mahalo once again for the amazing experience!

Tropics 2-5pm happy hour A nice place to stop for lunch, happy hour or drinks. Like most places under staffed and slow. But food was good. Enjoyed the fish tacos, burgers.

This is a good place for some pub food and a place with many televisions so you can watch whatever sports are happening. Restaurant is in a strip mall but has open air and patio seating and you can still see the ocean across the parking lot! We thought the food was pretty good. Brisket fries for an appetizer, which was flavorful due to the miso gravy. I had the Asian pork salad, which was huge and very good! The service was friendly and fast, prices were ok considering we had 5 people, and ordered drinks and a couple desserts along with our app and entrees (almost $200).

i love the staff at tropics. seat yourself, wear your mask, all the bartenders and wait staff are friendly. especially their bar tenders, they always seem to give good, honest, suggestions on both food and drinks! definitely the spot to hit if you're in the Kam 111 shopping area. sam choy's might have a better view up the hill, but there is no comparison on food. i wouldn't be surprised if the staff up there came down to tropics on their lunch breaks haha:) all and all a nice little spot to grab a quick bite and catch a game in between kona town and captain cook.

Very Beautiful view! Even in a strip mall this bar has a gorgeous view. Just stopped by and had a couple of drinks next to our stay. We had a couple drinks reasonably priced but we have yet to try the food although it looks great. We would come back for sure.
Most servers act like their tips depend on prompt and attentive service. These guys are on island time and New Jersey attitude. They don't care whether you are served promptly or ever. Food was okay

Happy hour 3-5. Good friendly wait staff. I ordered wings and fries with the pink slip and a mai tai. The happy hour mai tai is why I gave them 4 instead of 5 stars. Very very mediocre. But the pink slip to die for. My biggest regret is not taking photos. The Buffalo sauce is amazing!
