The food was alright, but they waited until after I ate to let me know that there was an additional 3% charge on my bill unless I paid in cash. If they wanted to raise prices like this honestly, they should raise all the prices on the menu by 3% and then offer a 3% discount to people paying with cash.I'm waiting until the end of this review to say that everything besides that was about four stars.

sorry, we used to love to go hear music here but we all stopped , the food is ok however the standards have fallen in terms of cleanliness, kitchen staff in filthy uniforms should not be handling food. and you can see into kitchen from several places so clean the floor one time. the manager is not insuring sanitary practices and sometimes looks like he wears the same clothes a couple days running himself too bad

The menu is a joke. There's a need to up grade some of the staples and add some new stuff. The meatloaf is tasteless, the gravy needs a do over. I was in there yesterday morning and it was just empty, one othere table. The service is great, the food sucks .

I ordered the prepared turkey dinner for Thanksgiving this year and it was really good! Everything tasted homemade from scratch( turkey, gravy, stuffing, yams, garlic mashed potatoes, cranberry relish and pumpkin crunch) . I will definely be ordering their turkey dinner in the future, my family loved everything

Went in for dinner, when it was delivered the busser knocked a full glass of ice water in my lap completely soaking me and getting in the food. I don't fault the kid. He was young learning but the incident was not acknowledged by the server or management. No offer to replace food or make the incident right by management. The food was good but I was disappointed at the lack of service. And eating dinner soaking wet isn't pleasant.

Went there last Friday only to find they close at 8:00. Went back on Tuesday and had to practically beg to sit outside, there were 2 tables on the patio and one was in a blocked off area. The person at the remaining table left so we were able to sit outside. What use is the patio if you don't have tables on it? Used to be a lot of tables and a lively atmosphere on the patio, that's the reason we went there. Won't be going back.

I bought vouchers from Costco in order to try the Hawaiian Diner experience, so the built in discount was well worth getting the vouchers for $79.99 for the $100 value.Ordered the meatloaf plate- surprisingly good! Well seasoned, moist and the sides of steamed veges and mash potatoes were substantial and complimentary. Also got the keiki hamburger meal. Also good value and substantial. We sat inside and the ambiance was homely and casual. The service was ok. The servers could know their product better as they weren’t answering our queries adequately. So it was a lucky dip meal that turned out quite pleasant. Overall a good experience. I would recommend, and would come back to try the other items.

Stopped here as everyone was telling us to. It was okay. But no mac salad? We sat in a booth, and when the food came, there appeared a lot of gnatts flying... I had the baby back ribs..it was okay.

I'm really happy that we decided to eat breakfast here. Nice combination of local favorites and traditional breakfast. There are TVs outside on the patio area. Prices are slightly high, which is to be expected: $4.79 iced tea, $6.99 side of bacon...two people= $49 before tip.

We went there for dinner on a slow Sunday evening. There were four tables, but the service was slow. Our waitress kept disappearing for long periods, while another waitress spent way too much time BS'ing with the patrons at the next table, about ten minutes, so it's not like this place didn't have enough help. My companion ordered the kimchee fried rice. We've had that at the Kaneohe location and it was great. Here, they did not use any egg, there was hardly any kimchee, and it just plain lacked any taste or substance. It was like a plate of rice with a bit of soy sauce coating things. I had the basic hamburger. Avoid that at all costs. It was that pink meat stuff, not real beef, and despite being well-done, was still gooey and almost pink inside. The lettuce was wilted and old. Disappointed.

Sunday breakfast regulars. Fresh decaf coffee served just as we're seated. Great to enjoy a cup b4 even ordering. Our favorite is the generous veggie omelet with paniola potatoes n the portobello eggs Benedict again with potatoes. Best macadamia pancakes in Kailua. Nuts mixed in with pancake batter. Nobody can match the crunch.
