Frank's Franks has the best customer service I've experienced on Oahu. Their food is amazing. I love their Calzone and pizza. My new favorite pizza place in Kailua!

Eggplant Parm, meatball Parm (!! with bucatini !! ) and pizza margarita made us so very happy last night. After driving by Frank's truck several times, we finally decided to give it a try last night. We have hearty appetites, but we'd been munching on appetizers all evening already, so the 4 of us decided to order 3 items and share them family style. My husband called the number that's posted on Yelp and it was answered by Kelly ... so very sweet and welcoming. She told us that we could text her our order and just come to pick it up when it was ready. This is just fantastic b/c they make your order fresh when you order, but there really isn't anywhere comfortable to wait while your order is being made. There aren't any outdoor tables or benches there, so your only options are to sit on the curb, wait in your car, or go into Creekside Bar for a drink.Being able to text in your order is such a help.We texted in our order, Kelly texted right back to confirm, gave us the total, and said it'll be ready in 20 minutes.Sure enough, when my husband went to pick it up, they were just packing it up and he was back home in a matter of minutes.Everything was piping hot and very neatly packed. The pizza margherita was super good. The crust was nice and thin and the outer edge was perfectly puffy and chewy. The eggplant and the meatball parmesan were delicious - - - my absolute favorite surprise of the night was that they used (my favorite pasta) bucatini as their pasta. A lot of full scale Italian restaurants don't even have bucatini . . . but Frank does ! ! He gets 10 stars alone just for that * * * * * * * * * *The servings were very generous and my husband is having leftovers for breakfast now as we speak.Try it - - - you won't be disappointed.

assolutamente eccellente!!! I'm a local girl from Waimānalo and I used to live in Little Italy in NYC. I can say with confidence that you won't be disappointed. Great hearty Italian comfy food! We had Pizza pops, lasagna, the calzone, and my favorite fried street pizza full of moza and ricotta cheese. The owners are good company too. They're such a nice couple. He's an Italian out of Brooklyn and she's a local girl from my home town. I always post pictures, but the food got eaten before I could even take any any. lol Some important info:*Be prepared to wait 15-20 minutes because everything is made by scratch. WORTH IT!*I highly recommend to get there before 11pm, they usually sell out by 130am. *This nice looking food truck is located at Creekside Bar on Hamakua Drive in Kailua.

Ended up giving Franks a try because Cory from Whiskey Smoke 808 said it was worth it. And let me be the first to say he was not wrong. Huge fan of the hotdogs the durty water dog is legit. Had just about all the menu but keep a close eye on specials so follow them in Instagram.

We had Frank cater a dinner at our family reunion for 40. It was a big hit! Everyone was ready to grind after a long fun beach day and this food hit the spot! We were all able to have seconds, and the meatballs were a huge hit! So glad we went with this choice for catering! Can't wait to try a pizza at the food truck soon!

This local girl loves Italian food and misses Boston's North End and NYC's Little Italy. Frank's Franks is certainly filling the void! I love their Eggplant Parmesan more than words can say. Honestly, I've had this dish for 4 weeks in a row and we special ordered food for my mom's 91st birthday (party of 15) and it didn't disappoint. The food truck is typically on Hamakua Drive Friday and Saturday nights, visit them soon, and thank me later! Let's keep them in business everyone!

Open late! So this is the perfect late night snack after a night out or just to stop by for dinner. Mozzarella sticks are homemade and always cooked to perfection. My boyfriend loves the meatballs.

The mozzarella sticks were insanely good! Huge portion of Chicken for the chicken parm and spaghetti plate! Very nice people. I would support them again.

Later part of January, we passed by this food truck a couple of times which was parked on the street fronting Creekside bar's parking lot. Usually Beto's Tacos & Platos food truck was parked there on Thursdays to Saturdays for years; however, I haven't seen them today but noticed the word "Italian" on this new food truck. It piqued my curiosity. Today we were able to stop by and check out this new food truck. Actually wanted to try the brisket sandwich from Whiskey Smoked 808 at Bob's Kailua, but the walk-in gate to the Whiskey Smoked 808 was closed so we decided to try Frank's Franks Brooklyn Italian Food! We parked in the Creekside's parking lot which some stalls were shared with Time's Coffee Shop. What a beautiful brand-spanking-new food truck! The lady who helped us, was really sweet and helpful. I believed it was her husband Frank who prepared our food. They used to be here six months ago selling from their Sabrett's hot dog cart and was known as Frank's Frank. They are still selling their hot dogs but no longer from the cart. They are also selling some pasta dishes such as Eggplant, Chicken, or Meatball Parmesan with spaghetti noodles or spaghetti and meatballs. There were two types of 12" Authentic Naples style pizzas. There were the cheese and a Margherita pizzas. They also have a pizza pop (like a calzone) , & Naples Fried Street Pizza. Appetizers included Mozzarella sticks and 4 piece meatballs. My friend ordered the breaded eggplant parmesan pasta which was placed in large round aluminum tin. It looked huge with a lot of melted cheese on top, but be careful when handling the hot aluminum tin from the brown bag. I got the Margherita pizza which was okay. The crust was not soggy only some slices at the tips, other than that, the four slices held up well. It was not so thin yet chewy and the crust ends were thicker and a little on the tough side. Pizza had marinara sauce with mozzarella cheese and basil. Naples style Pizza was okay I guess I prefer a little more savory meat pizza with a crispier crust. There was no meat pizza available but they offer a pizza pop which is like calzone. I preferred the Naples Fried Street Pizza which looked like a calzone but was pizza was deep fried. Something different and yummy. It was light and crispy! Just note, there was a lot of cheese inside! It's filled with only ricotta and mozzarella cheese but people do like it. Between the two, I like this one the best! At the present time, they are here on Fridays and Saturdays from 6pm. Depending how the evening goes they can stay til 10 pm or even later. Follow them on Instagram. Thanks for reading my review! =)

Stumbled upon this little food cart the other day. Such a nice and genuine husband and wife team. We ordered the mozzarella sticks and they may have been the best mozzarella sticks I've ever had! The area looked a little shady at first but please don't judge it by its look.... give it a try! We will definitely be back!
