The atmosphere and idea is wonderfulThe service was ok. But the French laundry which is an expensive tomahawk steak was so well done it was drier than the Sahara desert. We asked for medium. The appetizers were great. But for the price I totally pass. Better steaks for a lower price. Meh.

I'm not sure what happened to this place. Very disappointed! The first time I came here was months ago and I was thoroughly impressed. However, friends and I made reservations last night and we left very dissatisfied. A dozen of VERY SMALL oysters were MKT price at $40 and were fishy. All of our meals came out like warm. My steak was overcooked. I'm not one to send anything back but for the price, I better be able to at least chew it. The server even said, "this is near well done." I waited an additional 20minutes while my friends finished their meals. By the time I received mine, the sides were cold. My friend ordered salmon and it was also fishy. She couldn't eat it. No compensation. Our bill was over $500.00 for 3 people. Not worth the price. We will not be returning.

Wow, what an amazing experience! I recently had the pleasure of dining at one of the most sophisticated restaurants in Oahu, and it was truly unforgettable. From the delicious meal to the captivating show, every moment was filled with elegance and charm.Sure, it's a bit on the pricey side, but trust me, every penny is worth it. The ingredients are all fresh and the dishes are expertly prepared. The staff are incredibly attentive and friendly, always making sure you're having a great time. To top it off, the jazz music playing in the background added a touch of class to the whole experience. If you're a foodie, or just looking for a special night out, this is definitely the place to be. I highly recommend it, and I can confidently say that it's one of the best dining experiences I've ever had.

Magnificent. Truly one of, if not the , best dining experiences I've ever had. Off putting that you have to walk thru a standard pub, but well within the "speak easy" persona. Food and service are Michelin quality. The fire dancing performance was fantastic. What an awesome experience. Will visit again, without question.

Had high expectations but was let down in some aspects. For one, we had reservations but didn't get to sit until 10-15 minutes after the actual reservation. Not a huge deal, but had me worried since they say that the parties have a 2 hour limit. Luckily, they didn't enforce it. That being said, the wait time for food and drinks were very long. Plus, the waiter took awhile to take our orders. Also, was expecting the entrance to be a bit more secretive because of the speakeasy aspect but the entrance was pretty out in the open. Onto the drinks -- honestly pretty disappointing. Maybe it was just because of the cocktails we got; we were a party of four but none of us liked our cocktails. The drinks were either too strong or just tasted weird. We also had beers but they were pretty flat. For the food -- we had the king arthur, the french laundry, and a medium charcuterie board. The crab that came before the king arthur was very good, mainly because of the butter. It was cooked nicely but they were quite small. There was a quite a long wait time for the rest of the mains.. probably 20-30 minutes. But when it did finally come out, there were some hits and misses. The wellington was delicious, but the sides that came with it (such as the vegetables and potatoes) were nothing special, and actually came out cold. The french laundry (tomahawk) was okay, quality and taste didn't really match the price. Also, we ordered medium rare but came out way too red. The accompanying gravy and mashed potatoes were good, but not really worth the $180. The charcuterie board was really good, but thought it was weird that it came out with the mains rather than before, as it is listed as an appetizer. The waiter did let us know, but still think it's odd. The desserts were up to par though. We had all the desserts offered, and the creme brulee was the absolute best. Overall, an interesting experience, but not what I was expecting. Enjoyed the food, but probably won't come back. Also some other things I had kind of a problem with-- really didn't like that there's only one women's bathroom for the whole place; and the rule that each person had to order an appetizer or a main that was worth at least $30. The mains are quite expensive and can feed multiple people, so it seems like they're just trying to get as much money from us as possible, when we're also getting pricey drinks as well.

We have eaten here twice and the food was amazing both times! The ambiance is so perfect. Going through the telephone booth to get to the "secret" restaurant in back is a lot of fun. The music is great, the drinks were very good. Pricey but worth every penny!

Came in here tonight because I've tried calling multiple times and the phone always goes to voicemail. I wanted to have some cocktails and food somewhere nice soon. When I walked in the front of the pub, there was no host in sight. So, I walked in the back to ask if you need reservations to eat there. When I asked if you need reservations to have a table he seemed upset. I just felt very unwelcome. Its really not that serious that you need to be rude to people. It's really too bad, I wanted to try the place soon and have a fancy date night.

Ordered the tomahawk steak, by the time I got it was cold, same with sides. Service was sub par. Server was basically nonexistent. He only showed up to our table 3 times total. He was more concern with talking to the staff and checking his phone than checking in with his table. Will not be going back again.

It's very good and very pricey. If you have deep pockets and like rich decadent food you will be happy. The Sax player was a delightful talent so be sure to go there when he is on!

Good dining experience but room for growth/improvement. French Laundry tomahawk came out warm not hot like you'd get from a Ruths Chris or Morton's. Drink were average but not comparable to a Bar Leather Apron or Podmore. Good experience but if you want the best there are other places on island.

The mystique was crushed when we walked in and asked if we were there for gas lamp. Did not get to use phone booth, or find entrance. Had to wait in busy bar for a good amount of time past reservation. We were sat at our table and waited 10 minutes for a server. Menus presentation was good, I ordered a double tequila soda with lime, it was $36... my wife's drink was excellent. They seem to have the drinks dialed in. The scallops were way under cooked, the crab claws were pre frozen and maybe 1 once of meet if you took the time to dig in them. Very small and taste terrible. The chop salad was 7/10 but drenched in dressing. Beef Wellington I believe is from costco. I ordered it medium rare, it came medium well, not wrapped and scorched. Mash potatoes were lumpy and grainy, only one Brussels sprout. The steak and "south African lobster" aka crawdad. I have had the best lobster in my life in SA. Once again pre frozen sea food, steak was below prime, very fatty and not trimmed. No sides on that one. Dessert was the most disappointing because it is so easy to do. The cheese cake was a little round bite similar to a brownie bite. It was solid as a rock. It had Oreo and lilikoi, what a terrible combination. The strawberry short cake was hard as a rock, I assume pre made sitting in a freezer, not good. I woke up at 2am sick from the food, stomach torn up from the low quality, under cooked, or otherwise. The concept is great, the food is bar food from outfront. There is not a notable chef or a person with true culinary expertise for these prices. Using the bathroom is a fun when you have to walk through the bar crowd playing trivia and starting at your dressed up nature. I think they spent their money on top bar tenderer and drinks. They need an expert in the kitchen, good ingredients, and better service. I would not return until I heard they have a chef. As for being sick after eating it, we will see how long it last.

Cozy atmosphere, elevated dining, classy cocktails. Great for special occasions. We will be back.
