Awesome and massive portions! I thought a half wouldn't fill me up but I was full halfway through eating! The food was authentic and good. Better than Waikiki food by a mile.

I've been coming here for years off & on. Love the friendly gal who is usually the one taking the orders. Today, after a longggg hiatus, stopped by to make a purchase. Bought 2 plate lunches. $30. This hasn't happened to me in a long time but, SO gross, short black & white curly hair in the rice or salad. Called to report it and only got a "sorry about that, I'll tell them to double check everything." Seriously?!?! How's about it ruined my entire appetite & experience and I'll not return again. Also, you guys have been doing this for years. How's about you take a minute and clean up your front area. It's grimy and gross looking and it doesn't take but a day to clean it up real nice & put in some new paint or something! I'm sorry but a "sorry bout that" doesn't cut it; you should have offered me a refund even if only partial or replacement food. I'm just grossed out and will not return. Bummer but you just lost a long time customer.

MASSIVE portions. Had a regular katsu curry (it's my go to at any L&L), quick to make and had leftovers for 2 days! The plate was FILLED with chicken.. 3 layers?

Private parking - easy access to the restaurant Lots of offerings which makes it hard to choose! After reading the yelp reviews I choose this L & L Any portion was very generous - the katsu was hot & crispy just the way I like it - good rice - Mac salad had no flavor - better mayo and a bit of salt & pepper would have pushed the Mac salad to a more acceptable level - katsu sauce a bit thin and lack flavor Over all a ok meal - it will fill you

It was decent for being on the mainland. I had the BBQ Chicken and Rice. Forgot to take picture. I'd go back if I was ono for fast kine familiar food from home. Curious about the hamburger steak. If the gravy is ono then that's all that matters. Of course the Hamburger Patty and Mac Salas gotta be ono too. Next time L & L Milbrae.

For a regular meal and plenty of it.... try L&L Hawaiian Barbecue. Even if prices went up, this menu is very reasonable. There's an extensive menu and you'll always find something to satisfy your hunger.

By far the best L&L on the Island. Have never, ever have had any bad experience at this location. Qualify, Food and Customer serves that Dr. Edward Deming could not improve.

A friendly and unpretentious local restaurant in Kailua located in a small shopping centre next to the Anytime Fitness gym.The menu is extensive with many great options. I chose the Kalua pork meal which was delicious and a good portion size. In addition to the pork, the meal comes with rice and macaroni salad, but I did note that this was different to the Kalua pork that I had tried at a different L&L location. In comparison, there seemed to be more cabbage and less pork than what I had experienced elsewhere. The dining room was nice and peaceful to sit and enjoy my meal.Despite the variation in food between here and a different L&L store, the lady at the counter was friendly and the food was still good. I would recommend for anyone in the area wanting good local food.Parking: There is parking available within the shopping centre.

For a franchise chain, the food quality and taste differ from each location. My wife loves the Mac salad offered at this restaurant over our nearby enchanted lake L & L. However, the BBQ chicken has a flavor profile that is completely different from other locations that I just can't stand. The majority of the food offerings at this location are good and should not be a problem for most people. I would just prefer a level of consistency across the chain as a whole.

Love chicken katsu. Fast friendly service. Great value for price. Mini chicken katsu is more than enough for me and my wife.

This place I had actually dreamed about since the island's shut down during the pandemic. The SECOND we landed on Oahu, we raced from the airport to Kailua to eat!The place was busy as usual, mostly with take out orders, so we got a seat and soon we were in heaven with the food. On the 1st day, we had Curry Beef over rice and the Teriyaki Beef plate. Both dishes were as we remembered, with the Curry Beef being on the fatty side (which I love). So we decided to return the next day for lunch. On our second visit, we ordered the Beef Stew over rice and a Lemon Chicken plate. The beef Stew was in a sweet tomato sauce with potatoes and carrots (the beef was a bit too lean for my taste). But the Lemon Chicken was delightful, sweet, and crispy. We will be returning to THIS L&L everything we drop into Oahu!

If you want incredible food, local and NOT tourist prices, try L&L Barbecue in Kailua. Honestly, the food taste like mom made it, with love (as they say on the island).
