Showed up around 5pm to get a table, not busy 10 tables wide open. The host doesn’t come for 10 minutes, then stares at his piece of paper awkwardly for 5 minutes and tells us they only have room outside (in the pouring rain). Don’t waste your time or your money. Plenty of better places in Kailua that value paying customers and are kind to people of all ethnicities

The waitress is always so nice; she thought it was so funny when my 11 year old daughter asked if she could work there. The food is incredible, and the environment is very family friendly. ??Kid-friendliness: They have an excellent selection of Japanese style keiki options.
We’re finally giving up on this place when it comes to takeout. EVERY time we order, they’re 20-30 minutes behind. EVERY TIME!!! They’ve messed up our orders in the past. Their payment system has been down. You name it, it’s happened there.All that said. The sushi is amazing.We’re just never going back. Ugh.

The host was kind yet inefficient with how to handle the customers at the desk. When asked if it was ok to wait for her to bus a table for customer that was waiting we agreed not knowing she was going to bus every single table. While we only wanted to make a take out order. After waiting around 20 minute to be told our order would take 30 minutes was disappointing. I understand needing to seat the table but do not understand the need to bus multiple tables that was not needed. Though the apology was considerate the organization of work flow is flawed. It would of been better to bus the one table for the people waiting and take our order then finish other tables instead of us needing to wait more then one hour for two rolls.

Went out for the night to get sushi. Was average, even slightly disappointing, and certainly not worth the price point. Good atmosphere but service was extremely slow and even forgetful more than once.
The sushi is delicious, awesome service, top notch, definitely will go many more times..

I REALLY wanted to love this place! It would have been so cluch to have a quality Japanese restaurant in the neighborhood. Unfortunately, our experience left much to be desidered. The sushi was the epitome of "meh", average at best. Edible, but nothing to write home about. Service was also very mediocre and robotic. I was excited that they had chutoro, but the consistency and temperature were both off. Lastly, my biggest beef is with the bill. Looking back at their old menu from 6-12 months ago, prices have done up considerably; in some cases 25%+. Then, on top of that, they add a 10% "inflation surcharge" to your final bill. I realize inflation has hit the food industry hard, but don't raise your prices and then double-down with a 10% surcharge.
