Great Coffee!!

There is a lot to admire here and well worth a visit. Owner Brian Burik is passionate about coffee and works closely with multiple local growers to obtain the best quality beans. Tradition recently opened a cafe onsite as previously operated only a roastery. The caffe latte was prepared elegantly and crafted in a medium roast style. I will confess to liking dark French toasts with Italian espresso notes. Premises are clean and industrially oriented. A very kind, professional young lady, Amber - Tradition’s first employee - provided a short tour including descriptions of the roasting process and each type of bean. Thank you Amber! The business is being built up via a series of onsite events as per attached picture. There is also a store in a loft area that offers quality local art, pottery and fused glass objets d’art for sale. Plenty of beans and coffee paraphernalia available for taking home and gifts. Brian is a retired FDNY first responder with his regalia adorning the premises and product names with FD themes. The scenic drive to get there is special as well. A 4 star review from me is a strong rating and I endorse this establishment which deserves your business.

I ordered a Cortado and it was amazing. The best coffee I have had on the island so far while on our trip. This espresso doesn’t leave any bitter taste in your mouth.

Had a long conversation with the owner Brian. Super cool dude with lots of passion for art of roasting coffee. Great place with a little art shop upstairs.

Very knowledgeable about their own coffee beans. Lots of great choices, especially for espresso fans. Super clean place to relax with your coffee and pastry. The beans themselves are very high-quality and they do not over-roast them.

Wheelchair accessibility: It has a large garage door and is mostly on a single floor. The inside is a little tight for a wheelchair but most everything can easily be moved out of the way to make room.

If you came here for food, you are in the wrong place. This is a coffee lovers stop, you can have any of their beans in drip, this is a spot to simply enjoy your coffee. I had the pleasure to sip on the Ka'u roast, it has a wonderful flavor and they serve it to you in a pot with small cup which made me appreciate the flavors even more.

I love checking out new coffee shops, especially ones that I can chill and do some work in. Tradition Coffee is a roaster, coffeeshop, and local art gallery all in one! The "icy love" art loft and gallery is open 9 am - 2 pm on Wednesdays- Saturdays. Tradition coffee is in the industrial area off of Kapaa quarry- so it's a real "if you know, you know". But there's plenty of parking and I love the open air ambiance. I ordered an Americano (hot) with their Mexican mocha. My first sip I went "WOAH" - she was spicy! In the best way! They also have pre-made food items like a chicken salad, vegan/ gf taco bowl, ham & cheese and italian subs. The service is quick and everyone is so personable. I told them it was my first time here and I got a warm welcome and quick explanation of all their offerings. Since they are also a roaster, they have their beans for sale along with everything you'd need to make Tradition coffee at home ( chemex, grinders, etc). They even sell locally grown pet treats from Pawniolo pets! The owner was a firefighter from NYC and his inspiration was the firehouse table where they would all share coffee and meals. They also have a big emphasis on sustainably and sourcing local.
