Haven't been to this restaurant for a while . I ordered a three choice combo and portion was pretty good but only one thing it came with a small bowl of rice so I had to order another bowl of rice and this time they gave me big mount of rice. They charged me $3.45. I guess this is the first time going to a Korean Restaurant that charged for seconds. The service was very good.

My experience at Willow Tree in Aikahi Shopping Center was nothing short of delightful, from the moment I stepped through the door until the last bite of my meal. As soon as I entered the restaurant, I was promptly greeted and seated, setting the tone for what would be a wonderful dining experience. One of the first things that struck me was the efficiency of the staff. Despite the restaurant being moderately busy, I was seated right away, without any unnecessary delay. Love the food, always good food and friendly people. Prices did increase due to cost of goods but portions are still good. Love this place!

My family and I have been eating here for 20 years. In my opinion, the food is decent, and it is pretty close to me. Their prices have always been a bit high, but they took a big hit with Covid. For a couple of years, they were not able to welcome customers for "dine-in". Over the last year, dine-in customers have started to come back. It is nice to be able to drive a short distance and have a (family) meal out. That being said, there prices have outpaced the cost of inflation. Tonight (as I have done for 20 years), I ordered 1 Kalbi plate and 1 spicy pork plate. They both come with several varieties of kimchee (dealers choice). I always (ALWAYS) tip 20%. During Covid I tipped 50%. My bill tonight was $73.88 (for take out for two). There is a handwritten "sign" taped on the door stating that effective 2/05/24, prices were increasing due to "costs". 3 weeks ago (before price increase), there were several tables occupied (dine-in customers). That was a long time coming. Tonight, there were 2 people at 1 table. This is good food, but not "Fine Dining". Over 20 years, myself and my family have eaten here countless times. I have always found the staff friendly, the food decent and somewhat unique, but a tad expensive. Now, it is unaffordable (although very convenient location relative to my location). I will miss them.

Willow Tree is still consistently good after all these years. I love their turnip soup that is served before every meal. The lunch special is a great deal.

Food was terrific and service was even better! There was a mixup with the order but they were super nice about it. We actually told them that what they gave us was totally okay and we were just going to eat it. But they still brought out a side of the other dish that we originally ordered. Again, such an amazing experience!

Ordered 2 choice for $21.95. Had to ask how much it was because I didn't see any pricing for it. Had the bbq chicken and bulgogi (thin sliced ribeye). Came with one scoop rice, kimchi, few pieces of tofu, pieces of potato, and bean sprouts. The bbq chicken was, okay; it was cooked just right. I thought it had more taste than Sadies' bbq chicken. Portion size wasn't that much. The bulgogi was tender and easy to eat. What I liked about it was that it didn't have that tough muscle/fat piece along the edge. Thumbs-up for that. It being bbq, the taste wasn't too strong - it grew on me the more I ate of it. The vegetables were so-so. Overall, an enjoyable meal but nothing quite outstanding about it. This is probably a one-and-done for me. I live in town and I don't think the drive out to Aikahi is worth it. I still prefer Yummy's, which, yes, is a totally different taste. I get it. If I had to choose between the two, I'd choose Yummy's because you get more for you buck. Would I recommend this place? All I can say, is you'll need to try it for yourself. I've had better Korean (fast) food elsewhere. The banchan (side dishes) aren't that flavorful...

Service - five stars. Ambiance - four stars because the booths are well separated. Food - four stars. We all had a lunch combo of some kind. It's the best deal and you get three choices for $18.95. While not an over abundance of food like some Korean restaurants, there's definitely more than enough for regular sized appetites and will feed most with a larger appetite. They only serve kimchee instead of all the usual ban chan dishes, but not sure if it's because we all for lunch combos, where you can get veggies (Korean style picked veggies that usually has sea weed, but not here - just daikon and carrots), soy bean sprouts, cabbage salad with dressing, OR mac salad. We all opted for the veggies and each one was delicious. Oh yes, the kimchee was very good, too. First combo was fried mundoo, meat Jun, bbq chicken. Second was fried mundoo, fish Jun, meat Jun. Third was fish Jun, meat Jun, bbq chicken. Everyone enjoyed their food. I thought the fish Jun was a tad bit dry, but it was definitely ok. Meat Jun was tender. Fried mundoo was tasty. Sauces were good. The fish and meat Jun came with a non-spicy sauce, The mundoo sauce was a tiny bit spicy. Rice came in a separate bowl and was enough. Ordered a side of meat Jun to go for dinner. Amount of meat was on for the price. Family thought the meat was tender and enjoyed it. I would eat here again if I'm in the area but wouldn't make a special trip out. Would not get the fish Jun (it really was ok, just not as good as the other items). It was busy but not packed the day we were there (Wednesday). (We arrived right at 11. There were two other groups there at opening, too.) Friend said it gets really busy for dinner so I guess you need to get there early. Note: you can create a two choice combo from the general dishes (plates) for $1 more than the more expensive entree.

The best Korean food on the Windward side. The servings are large. I usually takeout. Very tasty food.
