Great place for a shaved ice with ice cream while In Kailua. You can never go wrong with shaved ice in paradise. Besides the owner has a great personality. Stop in and just say "hi" and make a new friend.

This shaved ice cured my depression.Joking but this is probably the best I've had on island. Great flavors and the shaved ice was perfect texture. Didn't melt fast even in the sun. Fluffy and refreshing!

Loved this little shop, was craving shave ice and this place had just what we were looking for. Such a simple shave ice but so good, service was quick and full of aloha. Lots of local candies available. Such a nice vibe and worth the visiting!

4.5 starsCame by this place because the nearby malasada truck was closed and I didn't want to go home empty handed. We got a large and a small with ice cream. The large was huge and only $5 and the small only $4. Ice cream was about $1 each. I got strawberry and coconut. The ice was finely shaved and made with a block of clear ice and the syrups were mixed house and tasty.I ate about half way down then asked for more syrup which the owner was more than happy to add more. She was really friendly and personable. There's apparently some bentos or plate lunches but I didn't see them or see prices for them. One of the regulars came in and asked for it but it was sold out for the day. There were a few parking spots in front in their parking lot. There seem to be a bunch of regulars. I thought the price was very reasonable and probably the best shave ice in Kailua. After I noticed the sign said Hilo style ice shave, not shave ice. I didn't see any difference but just thought it was odd that it's called ice shave. I wish there were prices listed for the add on's but it's a great deal. Next time I'll come earlier and try to snag a plate lunch.

This is a MUST shave-ice stop. You even get to watch them make it right in front of you. This family operation produces quality and we loved the vibe when we stopped by. Service was quick and loved the recommendations!!! (You gotta try the Ramune flavor!) They have their own homemade candies and seem to do surfboard rentals too! More than deserving of 5 stars and Wilson Store has put themselves on the map!!!! Must-visit!!!!

3.5/5 rating. Convenient shave ice spot after Lanikai beach. Service: Store is run by one woman and so the service is quite slow. It's also really hot inside the store, hotter than standing outside. A line started to form because the service was slow. She took our order about 3 different times when ordering 5 snow cones even when writing it down...Taste: i liked the flavors of the syrups. I tried lychee, li hing, pineapple, lilikoi. All really good. If you get ice cream, it's a small scoop on the bottom that just melts while you eat the shave ice. I think there couldve been more syrups, the syrups didnt go all the way down the cup for every order we had.. u can see in the photo the li hing went half way down the cup. Overall, very soft shave ice and syrups were good. It was yummy! Just wish there was more syrup, full scoop of ice cream and more organized service.

I've been here several times when visiting the Windward side. I love to support small businesses and Wilson's is the definition of a friendly small business that deserves a visit! They're located on a side road with parking right in front of their store. Upon arrival, you'll find that they offer shave ice, local snacks, candy and used books! It's a cool little place with a homey vibe. The owner is super friendly and you'll often see her daughter or another lady (maybe her mom?) hanging out with her.I always get the regular size shave ice for $4. You can choose up to 2 flavors, and I get the strawberry & banana. I also add snowcap on top for .50 cents more. Definitely on the more reasonable side in terms of price. The ice is nicely shaved but with substance. I love their syrups! They're not overly sweet. A great place to stop by after a trip to Lani Kai beach!

We were in Kailua and wanted something to combat the heat. Went on Yelp and saw "Ice Shave" when scanning Wilson Store and knew it had to be Hilo style and had to check it out! Glad we did! There's a small parking lot and lots of street parking around the store. Wilson Store is not a fancy natural flavors kind of shave ice place but it's the kind of shave ice I remember eating small kid time. I thoroughly enjoyed this ice shave and would go back again. There's a super nice aunty manning the shop. The lady in front of me ordered a large and aunty showed her how big the regular was and asked lady if she was sure she wanted large. The lady changed her order to regular. I like how aunty didn't care about making more money but about taking care of her customers. You choose regular or large, cone or cup, and if you want ice cream (Meadow Gold!) and snow cap. Was funny, aunty said tourists usually order strawberry and lemon lime and old school folks order root beer float. I'm old school and wanted the root beer. The ice is shaved really fine. The syrup is not natural kine but the taste was good. Not too artificially sweet and definitely a nostalgic flavor. At first I thought lady was being stingy with the syrup but as it traveled down the ice, it turned out to be the perfect ratio of syrup to ice. Gotta have years of ice shave making to be that precise! The shop has crack seed and tomoe ame for sale but I loved perusing the Hawaii books on sale as we waited for our turn. The shop as a "book lady" who supplies the shop with these books! I think we all need a book lady in our lives!

Shave ice is the best. Go with ice cream in the bottom and condensed milk on top of whatever flavors you like. It is so fluffy.

We wanted to try a different shave ice place so we came down to Kailua side to try out here. Parking was super easy to find, as it is a shared parking with the other stores near by. It was easy to find this place, with the shaved ice mural painted on the wall. When we got inside, it was a bit hot. There were nice surfboards on displays & plenty of Hawaiiana books available to read. The lady was very sweet and friendly, and greeted us right upon entrance. The flavor menu was short and sweet. Very easy to choose from & not overwhelming. We were able to choose 2 flavors or do rainbow. My kids added ice cream to theirs. The shaved ice was very refreshing and so YUM! Definitely come check out this cute low key shaved ice place!

Shave ice in Kailua, Oahu, Hawaii...On the Windward side of the island, in a cozy, Old School shop, you will find the best shave ice in Kailua. The fine texture of the ice is smooth; the flavors are true; and the paper cups are doubled for more stability!Wilson Store shares its free parking lot with Kailua Bike Shop, and Lemongrass Vietnamese and Thai Cuisine (restaurant). Besides shave ice, Wilson Store is also known for its crack seed, surfboards, and Hawaiiana books. If you're coming from Honolulu, take the first left when you reach Kailua Town. Wilson Store is located across from Kentucky Fried Chicken on Kainehe Street. This unassuming, humble shop is manned by Melissa, a sweet and friendly local gal. She has the best personality!Stop by Wilson Store after a hike or a day at the beach! You'll enjoy this simple, refreshing treat - even in March - because it's a warm 77°F Hawaiian day! Thanks to Donna O. for telling me about this treasure!
