The food here is very good if you don't mind waiting for it for 30-45 min! We've been here 2-3x in the last mo and every time waited min 1/2hr for our food. I feel bad for the cook cuz it seems like there is only 1 here. It's been about 20min since we placed our order and I haven't seen any food come out of their kitchen yet! Idk if it's take out orders slowing their kitchen down but either way it takes way too long for dine in customers. Maybe don't accept take out if the restaurant is busy(?)

Came in there with a $40 gift certificate to use at BCD on my day off. Got sat instantly bcoz it was a little slow around 12pm... on a Tuesday lol. Food is really delicious. Food temperature and portion was perfect! Our server was very knowledgeable and polite and came to check up on us in a timely manner. The ambience seemed cool and very sporty, although I'm not really into watching sports. I'm actually planning to come back again to try out other foods.

I had the fresh fish sandwich which is $20.00 ($19.99). The mahi mahi fish was fresh and good, however they use a cheap hambuger bun that falls apart half way through when your eating the sandwich. Also, hardly any onions and tomatoes in the sandwich. Come on, its a $20.00 sandwich, it should have nice thick slices of onions and tomatoes in the sandwich and where the the slices of lettuce in the sandwich. It can be a lot better Big City Diner.

A favorite spot we go to once a month for a guys night out to catch up & enjoy the days we were in high school many years ago. We enjoy the service & always request Christie as she provides our group with prompt & friendly service. Their whole staff is friendly & provide excellent service. We order the same dishes every time & the kitchen is always so consistent in preparing them. The bar mixes our beverages consistently & beers are always cold.We come also because you can converse easily & not have to talk over each other. A perfect place to meet & they let us stay as late as possible. Christie is a super server! We appreciate her professionalism & super friendly demeanor.BCD 5 stars consistently! The restrooms are always clean & the dining room has a nice vibe!

Big City Diner in the Windward Shopping Center, the ambiance is comforting. Sitting in a diner booth makes me nostalgic to Kapiolani Flamingos. The wait for service was in good time. We didn't have to wait long for our orders either. We came at a good time for dinner. Tutu's Caesar salad was alright. The dressing tasted like ranch dressing, not Caesar's dressing. Big Braddah's Loco Moco comes with two patties, three scoops rice, and three eggs how you like it cooked. Although one of the eggs popped, the three over easy eggs were beautiful on the plate. Big slab baby back ribs with guava-bbq sauce was a bit dry, and the meat was tough and burnt on the ends of the rack. The sauce tasted a bit burnt, too. The middle of the rack was good, not dry or burnt. Fish & chips served with fries were alright. The three pieces of deep fried fish were a bit on the dry side, but breading was tasty, and the tartar sauce helped to moisten it. The fries were golden, meaty, and crisp! The Beast burger came with two flame broiled patties topped with honey cured bacon, grilled onions, cheddar cheese and jack cheese. This dish came with a side of golden fries as well. This burger was well received. Side order of garlic mash was the size of a large ice cream scoop. Creamy and garlicky. This was yum. Our waiter was courteous and checked on us a few times. Parking is free and being in a mall, there are many parking stalls. Overall, food, company, and the atmosphere of the restaurant was very nice and relaxing.

Good food with a decent atmosphere. The pancakes are a must here. Big portions and I would return if I could.

The food taste is good. However, they charge you 3% more if you use a credit card to pay. The restaurant is nice and offers a big back room for private parties.

Cobb salad was disappointing. No egg, no bacon, greens while fresh was watery, no real meat to speak of, no French dressing.

Good club sandwich. Bread was too thick in my opinion, but decent flavor.Friendly service and average price.Connect to the mall so easy to find and plenty of parking.

Came in with my wife and kids for dinner. We had intended to go to another restaurant but weren't going to wait an hour for service, so we came down the road to BCD. The dessert was really good, maybe a little overpriced considering we used to buy the cake slices in Oregon for $3.99 of the same exact cake. However, the burger and fries were good, my wife enjoyed her salmon and garlic mash, and my kids ate their grilled cheese and fries so we were happy. Service was really good, we would go back again.

Ono grindz and much Aloha! While some of the newer locations lean to the commercialization of touristy expansion, Big City holds its own with local flavor and decent pricing, and the ever amazing waitstaff. This is a must stop if you're looking for just some down home comfort food. No high brow linen table cloths here, just the best of diner fare!

Terrible service sat for 10 mins we should have been the first served but they served 3 other tables first walked out did mention it to the one that seat us when she was cleaning tables and her excuse was we are short staffed funny I didn't feel that way at all I felt it was something else walked out disgusted
