Save yourself the disappointment. My wife and I stopped for lunch and our waiter was fine although very young and inexperienced as a waiter staff. We ordered a super burrito and a taqito plate that appeared to be taken from a box out of the freezer. The authenticity was absent and flavor was very plain. Not returning.

While the food was good it was also pretty basic. The guacamole was fantastic. Beer was cold. Atmosphere was super chill but also fun and lively.Here’s the thing, everywhere in Hawaii is expensive, but this place is just highway robbery. I asked for a side of sour cream and without telling me, they charged me $4!I asked for them to remove it because had they told me it was $4 or “yes I can get that but I have to charge you” I would have said never mind. My 12 year old and I had a total of 7 tacos, a can of beans warmed up with chips and one beer. It was $88! Note the bean dip is literally a can of beans, and some cheese on top. That was $14. lol I’m laughing at myself for even getting it, had I of known that’s what their bean dip was, we would not of gotten it either.To these owners: it’s unfortunate your prices are so high and your servers fail to implement practices to ensure guests understand what they are paying for. We won’t be back. Which means a $4 comp on my bill is costing you another $80.

We were looking for place to sit down out of the sun, so after driving by this restaurant a few days, we decided to check it out. We're from San Diego, so finding Mexican food on anybody the islands that measures up to places back home is not easy. Mariachi's was surprisingly good. The beef taquitos were crisp - almost like lumpia, and we enjoyed them. Guacamole was just average. The nachos were also really good - the chips were the highlight. Flour tortillas, freshly made and they stayed crispy even under all the toppings. Nice balance of cheese, meat and beans. I don't know if the salsa was homemade but it was good. Cheese quesadilla for our picky daughter was just average, but not sure how you can make a plain cheese quesadilla exciting, so it was ok. The location is right off the busy street and our view was passing cars, but the restaurant was large and roomy with lots of big windows. Service was quick and friendly. Prices were average. Everything on Kauai is higher priced than the other islands, so no surprises. Didn't try the cocktails but if we go back we'll check out the margaritas - they had a nice variety.

I love my Mexican food!! Honestly I visit Hawaii very often and like to something different than Hawaiian. Mariachi's is simply perfect the food has authentic flavor! The he service is second to none!! My wife enjoyed her Margaritas!! The negative reviews are in my opinion incorrect! Try this place and be your own judge. I highly recommend and enjoy this wonderful establishment!

Ordered a margaritas medium plus top shelf they added extra cost came to a $27 small drink. Be very careful was not worth it. Also ordered a side of beans came after dinner was eaten. Then had to ask for bill after waiting. VERY disappointed.
Very good food, very good drinks, and some of the best service around!Thumbs up to Carlos, possibly the best server we've had yet in our week in Kauai.
