Affordable hawaiian food located in the open food court area of the Ka Makana Ali'i shopping mall. Menu is more vast and different from the one on the mainland. I usually come here for the spam musubi...yummy!

With so many different L&L's on the island this one is my favorite, the lady working is always friendly and welcoming and the food is good! My favorites are the garlic Ahi and the fired fish. The lady working is so nice and always remembers my order, "2 pieces garlic Ahi" haha so if you are thinking about trying it I highly recommend this location! Good job L&L

This location is in the food court at the Ka Makana Aliʻi mall. It is a carry-out place but with some outdoor food court seatings. I got the Mixed BBQ which came with chicken, short ribs, and beef along with mac salad and 2 scoops of rice. The portion was huge. The flavors were delicious. I liked them a lot more than I thought I would. I definitely did not finish. Overall, it was a good choice.

We order here weekly, my husband enjoys, the side, garlic Ahi. We just ordered a small pan of fried shrimp which was awesome. It wasn't rubbery it wasn't hard it was just right. We also had ordered a small pan of the butter fish. The butter fish was also battered just right, not to thick with batter. The fish was nice and moist. It was not dried they also provided enough Tartar sauce.

Wanted $1.00 for tap water with a $26 meal. Salad was put in same container with hot meal.
Our experience was good. Nice to have the menu outside on the window to see pictures. The food took a while to come out even though there was no other customers. The bbq mix was very yummy. Wish the plain white rice had a sauce on it. The Mac salad was just a cold no flavor pasta salad. The portion was large. The chicken bowl was a nice smaller size meal. Rice in the bottom vegi and yummy chicken. We ordered a medium pop and it was HUGE! We should have split it. Sitting in the food court was nice, besides the flys. I wouldn't go again since there are tons of other places to eat and try.

Note to self... don't get the beef curry bowl again. Tough meat. Spicy curry sauce, but no real flavor. Better luck next time.

So we were just looking around Ka Makana and we seen L&L Hawaiian BBQ and decided to try it because everything looked so good. Especially I'm from Hawaii and I've been to several L&L's growing up which were good and I'm honestly really disappointed in what we got. The food we received looked nothing like the pictures advertised... I decided to get the saiman with spam because it looked yummy to eat and the spam was cut up so nicely on the picture advertised but instead I got a whole slice of spam with just noodles and plain broth that just tasted like water ... my boyfriend ordered the mini loco moco which was not even plated nicely and the portion of the hamburger was so thin and it didn't taste as well either! Not worth it! Even the mac salad wasn't even good either! So dissatisfied and disappointed. And I'm still hungry so I'll probably go cook something at home at this point... kind of annoyed. Not worth the money or food!
