The restaurant is closed! Has been for two months apparently. We were so looking forward to a “fancy” last dinner while on vacation. All dressed up and no place to go!!! Absolutely despicable that you would allow reservations to be made at a restaurant that doesn't exist!!!!!
Restaurant has been closed for months haven't taken down their posting on Open Table. We showed up for reservation we've had for 3 months and they were closed same as multiple other people do not book here

we reserved a table back in march 2022 for a 30th anniversary dinner and were super excited to have a great meal after we got our vows renewed. we travel all the way to hawaii and are ready for the big day and go on to their website to check the menu again and find out they are CLOSED!!! i call to confirm and find out why NO ONE contacted us and find out from their message they closed in april 2022. no calls, no emails, no nothing from anyone to inform us they would not be open. no one from open table apparently was informed either as i called them and they could give me no answer on what was going on. needless to say we were lucky we looked before we showed up to an empty, closed restaurant for our anniversary dinner. SO SO disappointed with both the restaurant and open table for the worst experience ever! if we ever get back to maui there is NO WAY we would eat here or recommend to anyone.
Booked a June reservation back in March and found out from Google and other reviewers that the restaurant was closed. Why OpenTable didn't notify anyone with an existing reservation after the restaurant closed is beyond me... had I known earlier, I could have tried booking somewhere else.

Had to scramble to find a restaurant on a Friday night for 8 in Wailea. Ended up being pizza night! There has to be a way to catch this when restaurants close. Shame on Five Palms for not caring enough to advise Us.

It was closed! Why does OpenTable offer reservations to restaurants that are closed? I was so excited to secure this reservation when planning our trip only to find out when we got here the restaurant had closed permanently until it finds a new location. :(

Wir hatten dieses Restaurant gebucht weil wir direkt nach der Hochzeit dort essen wollten. Das Restaurant war allerdings schon seit einiger Zeit geschlossen und wir standen vor der geschlossenen Tür, obwohl wir einen Tag vorher unsere Reservierung bestätigt haben. Nie wieder werden wir über dieses Portal buchen!!!!

This restaurant is CLOSED. I am surprised neither 5 Palms OR OpenTable emailed me to warn us. OpenTable even sent a confirmation email one day prior to confirm "are you coming?" Called 5 Palms and you get a recording they are closed and "hope to open at a new location soon." Had to change our plans last minute. Not good.

Unfortunately, the restaurant we booked has been closed since April 1, 2022. No one from the restaurant nor Open Table bothered to contact us of this rather significant change. We were unable to find an alternative for our sitting time to watch the Maui sunset and ended up eating dinner in some dive (the food was good at least). Not quite how we thought we would be spending our anniversary dinner. Oh well. This was certainly the last time we will use Open Table for our dinner reservations. Regards, M. Davidson

It wasn't until we were getting a ride from the hotel car service for our dinner reservation that the valet alerted us to the fact that the restaurant had closed. So disappointing. So we had to scramble to find another restaurant with availability last minute, no small feat in Wailea with a party of 5. Thankfully Matteo's accommodated our party and was fantastic, highly recommended!!

I’m so surprised by the negative reviews. I have been going to 5 Palms for years and it’s our favourite place. Maybe I have lower expectations as I go to enjoy the AMAZING mai tai’s and the incredible view. Staff have always been friendly and prompt. Food (appies) also good. By far the best Mai tai’s on Maui.

5 Palms did a marvelous job of making my wife's birthday party special. The fish was excellent and the service was outstanding. Waiter Brian Burns not only provided great service but sang a beautiful song for this St. Patrick's day event. He amazed the whole restaurant with his song. Our indoor table had an amazing beach view but also protected us from the strong wind. All in all, we can't say enough about this wonderful 5 Palms experience!

Came here for brunch to treat my dad on my birthday. Menu is limited. Food is good. Restaurant view is gorgeous. Disappointed when I told the waitress about the eggshell and all she could say is, "sorry, it happens." like a matter-of-fact and shrugged. Where is quality control?

The 5 Palms has closed because someone else is taking them over and the new opening is TBD. They didn't even have the decency to call the folks who had reservations. Two thumbs down.
