This place is really wonderful, go check it out and tell everyone you know! They deserve to thrive and we can help them get the word out.

omg no one knows about La Super Rica! I mean should I even begin to describe the menu, in hopes, that a rush of people don't floods the restaurant/ store. I lived in San Francisco and Walnut Creek for 30 years before moving to Maui. Then a friend from LAX tells me about this ma and pa Mexican restaurant called "La Super Rica" located in the corner of a business park, off of Uwapo Road in North Kihei. The chille relleno on Monday is The Best on Maui!! The green chille in itself is full of flavor. The white beans and rice is are prepared to perfection. I have eaten many chille rellenos to find this recipe on Maui is a rare discovery. Enough said. The set daily menu throughout the week is a treat. The tacos and burritos on Wednesday again are delicious. On Sunday, you guessed right, menundo! Family owned and operated "La Super Rica" restaurant-food store and dine in a gem. Honest a must to experience. Aloha

Stopped in a few minutes ago and got a carnitas burrito, it was BOMB. Huge portions, well seasoned, nice green sauce. If you need a break from poke and Hawaiian food this is a great spot to grab lunch. Very excited to try the rest of the menu

Really enjoyed looking at all the goodies they had. We plan on coming back to get the ingredients for some empanadas. Ordered a steak quesadilla to share and a Mexican coke. Ate inside. Cute little place. GREAT quesadilla, sad we didn't order more, guess we will have to go back to try other items. Before we left, we got 2 paletas. Those we do NOT share, lol. Covid: Mask worn by cashier/cook. Plexi up at register, hand sanitizer available.

Tucked away in a corner of a strip mall in Kihei is La Super Rica - don't miss it! Delicious food at very affordable prices, as well as a great selection of grocery items that you aren't going to find anywhere else on the island.

They always bring the A game. Skip the fast food and call in your order. Faster and way, way better than any other mexican food on the island. Easy parking.

Queso, chorizo, tortillas, and then there's the food bar where I got the Chile relleno , tamales, and a torta with the pork falling out of it. A great out of the way stop for Mexican food lovers (and cooks).

Stopped by for a late lunch/early dinner. The owner/chef was very nice and accommodating. Had steak and pork dishes. Pork was yummy. Tasted a bit like kalua. I would have liked a little more spice/flavor with the steak. However, he warned me about the heat level with the salsas (which were not very spicy) so I have a feeling my pallet is not typical here.

stopped in here today and had lunch. al pastor taco, steak taco, veggie tostada. All were good and not overly spicey ( they have three salsas for that) double tortilla tacos could easily be made into for smaller tacos, there was plenty of meat, mine served with lettuce only as i can't eat cilantro or onions. total for meal with Jarritos grapefruit soda was 21.00. I like the tostada as it had avocados, rice, beans and lettuce with sour creme I talked to the owner and asked him about the name as I know a place in Santa Barbara, Ca. called "la super rica" and it very popular for the last 30 yrs ( a julia childs stop) he told me he as a private chef for a wealthy family in Carpinteria, Ca. and he knew the place and decided to call his place the same. I told him a grew up In Carp. very nice people working here, I was the only one eating at 2:00 pm, the food here is not real spicey (good for me) but well prepared and fair portions for the price. I really llked that it was quiet aside from the Spanish/Mexican music playing, I will go again

Love la super rica! Their burritos are one of my favorite foods and now my go to when I don't want to cook. I'm sure everything is great on the menu, but I am a creature of habit. Soooo ono!

Delicioso! Can't believe I haven't Yelped this place yet. I've tried burritos, tacos, enchiladas and tamales here and all have been delicious and authentic. I hadn't had elote in ages and they have it in special sometimes. It's perfect! Everything is so flavorful and the hot salsa is on point. The real highlight is the wide selection of Mexican, Brazilian and Latin American groceries and dry goods. Oh and the bins of so many dried chiles. Service is always super friendly too. Definitely a hidden gem!
