Great service, excellent food! Got there and was promptly seated. We ordered some sushi rolls, panko crusted ahi, 30 day dry aged ribeye, and apple tart for dessert. Everything was cooked and seasoned perfectly.Go in and ask for Jar. She's been working there for over 14 years and will recommend great dishes. Support local and dine here for your next family meal.

This is a must /mainstay for us! The food is always fresh & the presentation is on point. Like edible art. The service was good. When asking about a particular item on the menu, the waiter had it on the table. There wasn't a confirmation that it was officially ordered & the waiter quickly added it to the order. The wait time to receive everything was brief. There was 5 people in our party. When We come to town, we never miss a chance to eat at Sansei.

I’m not one to leave reviews but the experience was bad enough for me to make one.To start, I’m very understanding and patient when places are busy and service can be slower... But this was not the case. It wasn’t busy at all. Atmosphere was strange and music was terrible to listen to as we waited for our server to even notice us.The food was a major let down. It’s overpriced for the quality and how small the portion sizes are. Sushi was a joke. I Wish I was kidding, but I’ve had better rolls from foodland.I don’t recommend this place. For how much we ended up having to pay- You’re better off going to the 4 seasons.

Unfortunately the Sansei Kihei location is now closed. Their last day of business was 10/30/23.

We ate here Sunday. Heard it was the last night open, very sad to hear this. Food is good, staff kind and made the meal more enjoyable. Hopping they all find something quickly.

Love this restaurant! A must go Everytime in Maui. First time it wasn't crowded, and service was amazing! He deserves 10 stars! Sushi is always fresh and tasty and butterfish is a must!

Sansei is a great place on Maui for fresh and beautifully prepared sushi. Also, on Sunday and Monday, they have an earlybird special from 5pm to 6pm, 50% off on most of the menu. Get in line early !!!

I had an okay dinner at this place; the sashimi was delicious. The music was fun -- one of my favourite genres -- but not for a dinner out. 2010 pop isn't known for sushi dinner music. We had to ask for soy sauce (which is usually present on each table), and the green tea is extremely overpriced. For a $5 tea, I'd expect to get a small pot full, but no. Five dollars for a singular cup of green tea. I'm very disappointed with that.I was expecting this restaurant to be a lot better, but my expectations were not met today. I would not recommend this restaurant.

Had the island sashimi trio and blue marlin sushi, along with California roll and calamari. Overall, the quality, presentation, and portions were decent (except the calamari - which was chewier than we were used to), but priced a little on the higher side. Service was friendly.

This place was recommended to me by a friend who was here years ago. I was looking forward to sushi but when I arrived just before they opened I waited in my car for the closed sign to change to open. Never did so I walked up to the door and saw a sign that said sorry due to a water outage we are closed today. Very disappointed but gave them the four stars based on the recommendation and information from my friend. Interesting parking lot, saw a family of chickens walking around..

The food was outstanding. Went to the one in Kehei. Highlights were blue marlin marinated and seared, served on rice. Staff was great, very attentive, very fresh fish. All round a great place for dinner.
