It's a neat shop in Makawao with enthusiastic sales people. I wouldn't drive out there just for this place again. It's fun to check out the other shops and make a day of it to support some of the other local shops.Sadly, the cookies don't seem to live up to the hype. They're almost $10 each and turn into a very crumbly mess. Oddly the middle was undercooked, probably because they're so large. We were both turned off by the gritty texture. Not sure what that was.We really tried to enjoy it but it just didn't justify the price or the hype.

If you want a good cookie, you need to work for it. Off the beaten path but worth the drive.

SO MAGICAL! It's like walking into a fairytale. Such a beautiful little shop. We tried some of their cookies, which are baked fresh every morning, and they were the best cookies I've ever had. The Lilikoi cookie was the favourite. Wanted to try the others the next day, but didn't make it before the closed shop. Will be recommending this to anyone visiting Maui. Thank you for such a lovely experience <3

Remember circus animal cookies from when you were a kid? The Maui Cookie Lady has combined those with the most mouthwatering hand made ice cream bar on planet earth! Whenever I land on Maui I make a beeline right to it! You can sing my praises later, go get one before they get gobbled up!

These are literally the best cookies in the world! I discovered them before celebs started name dropping this place. They are magical in flavor and reinvent what a soft cookie should taste like. Plus the theme of this place is just fun.

The cookies are huge! They are good, but not as good as I was expecting. They were way too heavy and way too sweet (for us). We both have a hell of a sweet tooth, but had to cut these like a pizza and eat them over several days.
To charge $8.50 for a cookie, it had better be in a league of its own. Da half baked cookie was just okay, it had been chilled and was a bit dry...it didn't taste like it was baked that morning as she had said. It was a good cookie, but nothing to go out of your way for.

I made sure to get The Maui Cookie Lady cookies and not another brand sold in the store. I was a little surprised that two cookies cost $13.52, and even more surprised that the cashier slowly counted out 48 cents in change instead of just giving me two quarters. The cookies were a crumbly mess, accentuated with a gritty texture which gave the impression they were either mixed poorly, undercooked, or both. The Butter Rum cookie held together a little better than the Macadamia Nut one but had the same sand-like texture. The sugary smell in the small shop was the only highlight.

We accidentally stumbled upon this place when we were on our way to Haleakala summit! Such a pleasant surprise in a cute little town. Inside is very whimsical and welcoming, feels like you are in a fairy town. There are an assortment of bakery items, beverages and other fun items but the main attraction is the cookies! There are many options to choose from; Marvin and I went for the limited edition banana bread flavored one (Tropical monkey), cookies and cream, peanut butter and white chocolate mocha. All of them were very fresh and delicious, we ate them as we watched the sunset at Haleakala, HIGHLY recommend. We visited a second time before we left Maui just so we could bring some home to share with our family.

It's this the cutest place in existence? POSSIBLY! But are the cookies also delicious? HECK YEAH

I bought five different kinds of cookies and a peanut butter . I have only tried the Kona coffee espresso. Absolutely delicious. I will be ordering again. Just because one of those cookies is delicious and they need all the help they can get.
