Aloha Braised is always one of my first stops. Due to the August 2023 Lahaina wildfire, the food truck has found a temporary spot in Kahului on Alamaha, on the Dairy Road side. Enjoyed the Teppanyaki Thursday special with steak, shrimp, fried rice, veggies and ginger sauce. Aloha Braised also caters. Ordered pans of Furikake Mahi Mahi, Mochiko chicken with volcano sauce and hurricane sauce on the side, New York Steak, Pork Belly and Macaroni salad. We loved everything! Aloha Braised is hoping to be back in Lahaina at their Island Grocery location at the end of November. Check IG and Facebook for updates.

Best food truck in Maui. The staff are super friendly. My favorite is the fish trio & meat trio.

Pork Belly local moco was really good, pork was soft tender braised right, mac salad fresh. I wish had more flavor in the braised pork but still ono (yummy). We were actually sitting in traffic trying to figure out lunch and seen lots of locals stopping at this food truck and knew we had to try it. Pretty fast turnaround on food ~10mins considering there were orders in front of ours. I would def recommend stopping. *Tip: lots of parking on the street near the truck.

This was our first meal landing in Maui after several longs hours of flying. We loved it so much that we made it our last meal before flying out yesterday! The food truck is currently located near the airport due to the recent fires in Lahaina. The flavors in their food speak for themselves and the owner takes pride in ensuring our taste buds are satisfied! We had the hurricane chicken, volcano chicken, and braised pork belly. The volcano chicken was our favorite! This is definitely a must try food stop!

Went just a week before the Lahaina fires but oh my goodness the braised pork belly and Mac and cheese pasta salad were my favourites! Not a whole lot of seating so it was a bit rough to “dine in” but other than that, the food was amazing. Highly recommend and hopefully the fires didn’t destroy this fantastic eatery.

Great food, fast service (~10 min), reasonable price point for a food truck on Maui. The food truck is right outside of the Island Grocery Depot, park on the street or the grocery store lot.We bookmarked Aloha Braised Food Truck before the trip and we're in the area to try it out. The Local Trio was appealing because they allow substitutions so it can be a mix and match of different flavors. We selected the Volcano Chicken, Furikake Fish, and Braised Pork Belly. The chicken did not have any togarashi aioli or sweet soy so I suspect that we instead got the basic Mochiko Chicken. Despite this it was one of the best dishes we tried. The sweet Mochiko flour batter gives a hint of sweetness, robust flavor, and also just a thin shell so the chicken still feels light. Would get again, although I would try the Volcano or Hurricane versions first. The Togarashi Fish was solid, grilled nicely and the wasabi ginger aioli / sweet soy on top was very flavorful. The sauce was even great on the shredded cabbage underneath the fish. The Braised Pork Belly was the least flavored of the trio, the braise appropriate but the Thai slaw not as much or as strong as the other sauces. Would try something else next time. The Steak Poke Plate is a misnomer, no fish so I wouldn't call it poke. The steak is half a centimeter thick strips, cooked rare, and served with sliced onions and tomatoes and herbs. The menu does not specify a sauce but it tasted just like the Thai Slaw from the Pork Belly. Each plate version comes with rice and Macaroni salad, but next time I would get the Steak Poke Salad version where the sauce would be a great dressing and it would be healthier. The Mac Salad was light, creamy but not heavy, and I would have liked the herbs to be a bit stronger (taste was kinda bland, not bad just I wanted more flavor). We debated whether to splurge and get Hurricane or Volcano Fries (fries with the corresponding sauces on top), but ultimately decided against it and had enough food.

Wow! My friend from Vegas told me about this spot and let me tell u! You will not be disappointed.Lots of space to park and it's next to major grocery stores. The food is made to order and we loved that especially since my partner doesn't eat pork and he really wanted fried rice.Staff is very friendly and the value of the price is worth the amazing quality of the food.Enjoy future foodies!

So good!!!We ordered the Volcano Chicken and Loco Moco. Both were fantastic but the chicken was absolutely delicious! Best Mac Salad we’ve had in Maui so far.Even better than the food was the exceptional service. We had come down from hiking all day at Haleakala and had been looking forward to stopping here for a late lunch when we realized we were barely going to make it before closing. I called in and explained our situation and the lady was so friendly and understanding! We arrived right at closing and she had our food waiting and was nothing but smiles. Definitely recommend!

A friend and I got to try out their food when visiting in town for the Maui Mompreneur event - their food was a classic plate lunch combined with some new tastes and spins, and my plate specifically had that extra spice kick that I really enjoyed. Overall really good and would recommend trying them out if you catch them on the west side/at an event on Maui - Miguel Morales Photography

Volcano Chicken is flavorful, crispy but minimal batter so you taste the chicken. It was amazing fresh but the leftovers had me craving more. The Mac Salad is delicious! idk I think there’s a tiny bit of curry power or a secret spice that adds a depth you don’t get at most plate lunch spots. The NY Steak plate is cooked to order(rare to well done) & the sautéed mushrooms & onions are on point with the sauce. My favorite part of the Local Trio is the Pork Belly which is tossed with greens & shaved onion w just a hint of an acidic dressing to cut the crispy fat of the pork. So good! It was a well balanced plate & just so impressive that a dish this complex is served from a truck.Parking: Parking available in Island Grocery Depot parking lot or street parking.Wheelchair accessibility: There is handicap parking in the lot & ramps on the curb. This truck has 1 communal picnic table w umbrella that could fit wheelchairs or stroller at each end.

Amazing food and service! We noticed this food truck on google and Instagram while we were in Maui and very happy we made it here for lunch. The chicken had a lot of flavor with great sauces and the Mac salad was perfect. Would highly recommend this food truck if you’re in Maui!

The volcano chicken was amazing and the Mac salad was second best of any plate lunch I’ve had in Hawaii. Service was also top notch. There’s a reason this place has so many good reviews, try it!

Food was really good, great flavors. The kimchi fried rice came with a fried egg and also a bunch of potstickers. The chicken dish was also really good!

The food is delicious! Cheerful, helpful staff and reasonable prices for Maui as the servings are large and can actually be multiple meals! We like to get several things and mix/match for our group. It would be very helpful if they put their schedule on-line so we don't have to drive up there to read the board posting the schedule on the food truck. Seems the schedule changes quite frequently and the web version of open Monday-Friday is usually not correct. Sometimes checking Facebook gives more updated information but consistency would be great.
