Well John L., I guess you got your wish. Perhaps the staff's sullen attitude that day was because they had just learned they were all losing their livelihoods. The place was closed down a week ago, but likely not because these employees weren't doing their jobs. Every time we went in there, even during the slim business days of Covid, the bartenders, manager, and servers all bent over backwards for us. Please don't be so swift to judge. There might be a backstory as to why they didn't meet your expectations that day in March.

What a great experience this time at Bubba Gump! Jocelyn, our waitress was fantastic. She not only kept close watch on us getting us whatever we needed, she also adjusted the blinds and told us how to attract the fish to be able to see them right from our table! Later, she showed us a large sea turtle who was swimming around which again we saw from our table.The food was also very good. My shrimp was perfectly seasoned with just the right amount so not to be overpowered by the seasoning but just right to enhance the flavor. My ribs were also done just right, but they were a little sparse on the meat.Both my daughters loved their shrimp pasta. One with cheese, one without. My wife really liked her Mac and cheese and salad.The view as noted was spectacular! We watched the sun set and had to post that picture too. Absolutely magical!Thanks Bubba Gump for a great evening!

Went with a friend to have some lunch!Had an amazing view, food was just awesome even though I'm not a fan of sea food.Drinks were a plus tried some of the menu that I didn't knew existed.

We have been in many Bubba Gump and so far the past experiences had been great. We were expecting the same in Maui and it was a horrible experience. The chicken was overcooked, the pizza tasted like rubber. The waitress charged us for an extra soup and treated us like we were lying and made us feel so bad. She shouldn’t be working there, she has a very bad customer service and the manager is the same we spoke to her and she did nothing. My daughter was walking to the bathroom and heard her complaining to a co-worker over a simple soup that could’ve been resolved.

Pretty typical tourist joint. Service is going but food so so. Good prices though. Fish and chips are made from alaskan pollock, nice and mushy but cheap. You would think there's enough fish around Maui....

Don't come here!! Waited an hour for our drinks...no alcohol in them. Slow service, dry salmon, and they didn't have the shrimp for the platter...on top of that they public ally announced excuses for the services...uncomfortable. Save yourself and go to cool cat cafe or Lahaina fish co. !!!

I know it was the end of the Pandemic and people have a bad time but when we went in there this Afternoon it was the worst feeling in the World how they looked at us like we ruined their Day going in the Lower part of Front Street across from the Banyon Tree Park it was Kicken! there was singing, Live Bands. We haven't gone out to Dinner for over a Year because of covid except to Mc Donalds or other drive-through Fast food we didn't stay there because the problem there was no Parking so we made a mistake and went to Bubba Gump..... looked empty and closed no one at the Door greeting only frowns from all the Staff. We and everyone went there only because of the Name it was more like an empty Morgue with rude Bartender, Servers just sad faces ignoring you with their Expensive Deep Fried Faces Stuck at I HATE YOU! attitudes The 3 SAD things on the Paper to go Menue deep Fried Shrimp, Deep Fried Fish, Deep Fried Fries, Deep Fried, and more Deep-fried Food. Save your Hundred + Dollars PASS THE Heart Attack on a plate with a side of I HATE YOU! and go to Mc Donalds ( Has a much better menu and Lovinit on their faces) TAKE THEIR ADVICE WHEN YOU COME TO MAUI IF YOU SEE BUBBA GUMPS RUN FOREST RUNNNNNNNNNNNN!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am so disappointed with the quality of this restaurant. I ordered the shrimp scampi and the shrimp was so over cooked it was rubbery. Coming to a restaurant that specializes in shrimp, I expected it to be great. The kids meals came with 4 French fries each (literally). So the server brought the kids an additional basket of fries. When we asked why the fries were lacking, the manager told us that the fries are "bigger" now (they aren't) so with the new Covid menu that is what they are offering. I thought that was an awful excuse. Then we noticed on our bill that they charged us for the side of fries! Do not waste your time or money.

They staff low due to Covid, and monitor the number of people in the restaurant. Had to wait about 20 mins for a table, which is understandable considering the situation. They do sit you next to other people, however. But I think this is more to keep people sitting right by the beach to enjoy the sights. The waiter was okay at best. Overheard him talking to another table about how much California sucks... I am from California, but I am in agreement with him, California does suck, so no big deal to me.. The food was alright as well. Got to see some whales though while eating.
