We had a breakfast here and it was good, we had a dinner here and it was one of the best meals we have ever had…the views, the service, the food was all great.

As one would expect from a restaurant at a Montage, this place is amazing. Great service combines with perfect sunset views and outstanding food. Really great wine list too.

My review is for the restaurant only! We went there for our 30th anniversary for dinner. When booking a reservation, I noted that we were celebrating our 30th. It seems they don't get those memos as the hostess didn't convey that to our server. I had to tell him. I don't think the hostess got the memo either. We sat down at 745 and didn't see a waiter till approx 8:00 and finally got some resemblance of food (bread plate) at 810. Very overwhelmed staff rushing everywhere. And wasn't even busy as there were many open tables. There was an open table closer to scenery, and we weren't even sat there. The salad was delicious as we split it between us. At 20 dollars, why not. My wife enjoyed the steak, I had some bites, and it was good.I got the catch of the day (swordfish) at 65 dollars. It was barely the size of my palm, not including my fingers. Portion control is herendous here. They bring out entrees on huge plates to give the appearance that you're getting the bang for the buck. If money isn't a problem for you here, then hab at it. But when traveling on a budget and trying to woo your wife at an upscale restaurant, then be prepared to spend for nothing. On the plate. Back to the bread, one plate came out, and no more was offered. 4 rolls tops. Come desert time, we got asked by two different waiters if we would like a desert menu. I'm confused because it isn't that our assigned waiters job. I was, and expected at least, a anniversary desert as pictures from other reviews show. So I figured I guess we aren't getting the special, so we ordered the desert from the other waiter. Finally, our regular waiter shows up and says he wouldn't like a desert menu, and we said that we ordered, and he said well shoot. I had a planned desert plate for you, and I said just cancel the other two, and he tried but was too late. So, take note as a way for them to charge you menu items and cloud it with a free small anniversary plate offer. Our waiter at times shined, but it wasnt continuous. Overall, I was unimpressed, especially for a Montage owned restaurant. I'm not happy to say the least, and I wish you well if you do decide to dine here. It might be a hit or a miss. Aloha!

Fancy place, slow service, food was ok, drinks were ok - safe to say we were a little disappointed. I expected more from this place.Kid-friendliness: Mostly adults only - wouldn’t say it’s overly kid friendly.

Fabulous experience! Good was fantastic. Our server, Vai, was wonderful. Ask for him! The mahi mahi was delicious. The live music was enjoyable and the calm quiet vibe was just what we needed. Highly recommend!!

Ambiance memorable, service mediocre as in table missing two bread plates upon arrival, steak knife's not provided until after our steak was served and we had to ask for them. Waiter was very dry and not friendly. Pork chop was very over cooked.

An outstanding restaurant in Kapalua- great views, fabulous food, on point service. Everything we had was both beautifully plated and excellent- the lobster gnocchi poutine, diver scallops, mahi mahi, and the baked Hawaiian dessert was so instagram worthy! Our server (John) made the evening wonderful.

Totally enjoyed our night. Both our libations and food were outstanding. We couldn't have asked for a better server. Chris was accommodating and friendly. He gave us excellent advice and options for our dining.....We are definitely going back.

It was nice. Was it worth it? Not sure it would be my first choice for upscale dinner in the area. I am disappointed I didn't receive local discount and one small chocolate candy to take home to kids.

Beautiful and elegant restaurant for a special occasion. Great sunset views while having dinner. Higher prices and smaller portion sizes. Wonderful food and romantic ambiance. Complimentary valet parking.

Cane & Canoe's is always a beautiful experience for us. The food is amazing. I gave 4 stars for ambience bc I was sad to see the solo musician shoved in a corner towards the restrooms. He was pretty good and could have been in a better location. Service was superb as usual. The view is great.

My husband and I travel frequently and we haven't come across something quite like this. This place is special. Unforgettable and picturesque. The food was wonderful, the service incredible and the view was absolutely incredible. Live music while we watched the sunset over the ocean with great drinks and food. Do not miss this. We will be back.

I told my server that I was lactose intolerant so he could guide me through the menu as to what I should avoid. He said that everything could be adjusted so I selected the seared ahi even though I confirmed with him the mashed potatoes had cream in them. He comes back and says that the mashed potatoes have cream in them and asks if I want to sub for rice. I said sure. He then comes back and says the the au poivre has cream. He asks if I want something different and choose something else (I don't remember what). Two minutes later the ahi comes out without the au poivre sauce but with some sweet mango sauce. The server comes back out and says that the chef misunderstood. Rather than wait for another entree I just eat the ahi with the sweet sauce. It isn't a good pairing but I'm hungry and honestly just want to leave.

Our best meal in Maui to date. Most of all the best sunset view bar none with several palm trees framing the setting sun. Might be the venue location but also our most wind free evening. Staff attentive and friendly. Food was 4+ which I'm happy with. No disappointments food wise. Maui is expensive but we loved it. Celebrated our 45th and had a wonderful comped dessert. My son raved about the prep and presentation of the Mahi mahi ... raved! The wine list is well thought out with a killer little know Albarino I found. Great time!
