A small restaurant. Reasonable price. But the fried fish and the BBQ mix was very good.Saw pigeons nearby. They were also eating with us. It was a nice experience.

Great food. You can't go wrong with L&L. They know what they are doing and for a semi fast food Hawaiian restaurant they have consistently great quality cuisine everywhere. The service was a bit slow but they had a ton of customers so it was understandable. The ambiance wasn't great they were located in a strip mall but the good price made up for it. The bbq beef was the best and their MAC salad is always good.

We were surprised to find this place just across the street from the Kaanapali Shores, where we were staying, and given our positive experience with the L&L in Waimea, we had to try this one for lunch. I ordered the wonton saimin and my wife tried the trio of musubi. My wonton was pan fried which made it taste more like a potsticker in the soup. The ramen noodle was fine but nothing special. The musubi was tasty but filling. We decide to eat there and sat on a small table to wait for our food. It took a little longer than I expected but it was hot and tasty. Will probably go back to try their meat mix combo. Can't beat the reasonable prices.

We go this place every time we visit Maui. The prices have gone up recently but they still maintain the same quality and portion. Their plate dishes are always tasty and have a generous portion which makes us happy!

This place is a mess. It was dirty, unorganized and definitely not inviting. Our order was taken and we paid a boy around 7 or 8 years old because the adults were busy on the phone or cooking. I know this is a chain because I see a lot of them around. This was my first visit to one and I don't think I'll be back.

My overall experience was not exceptional. It wasn't entirely disappointing either. I ordered the BBQ Chicken Musubi and Chicken Katsu Musubi, opting for a to-go order. Here's a breakdown of my review:Customer Service: ★☆☆☆☆One of the main areas where L&L Hawaiian Barbecue fell short was in their customer service. Unfortunately, the staff seemed indifferent and uninterested in providing a pleasant dining experience. The lack of attentiveness and friendly demeanor left a lot to be desired.Food Quality (Musubi): ★★★☆☆The BBQ Chicken Musubi and Chicken Katsu Musubi were average in terms of taste and quality. The flavors were decent, but nothing stood out as exceptional. The rice was adequately seasoned and the fillings were satisfactory, but there was nothing particularly memorable about them. The musubi lacked that special touch that sets them apart from other establishments.Overall, L&L Hawaiian Barbecue falls somewhere in the middle. While the BBQ Chicken Musubi and Chicken Katsu Musubi were decent, they didn't leave a lasting impression. The lackluster customer service was a notable downside, as it hindered the overall enjoyment of the meal. If you're looking for a quick and satisfactory Hawaiian barbecue fix, L&L Hawaiian Barbecue might suffice, but don't expect an extraordinary culinary experience or exceptional service.

Food was very minimal and lack luster. Was the only thing open that late near where we were staying. Service was under par and uninviting. Atmosphere was equal to that.

Good portions and good local food

Food was awful and place was dirty. Would not do again. We wanted something quick and easy after a king day of traveling. Big disappointment

This is a "newer" location, as L&Ls go, and one that's on the smaller side. Despite these things, it's just as comfortingly cluttered as the older and often larger locations on Oahu. Most of the center of the interior is empty to allow for physical distancing. There are a few tables inside, against the walls, and a familiar "waiting for my takeout order" table. There are also a few tables outside with umbrellas. The menu is also comfortably familiar, with all the local favorites. I chowed down on one of my top three, kalbi (shortribs) with all toss (green) salad. The salad had fresh romaine with some cucumber. I got some other favorites for later - teri beef, BBQ, chicken. All were reliably good. The restaurant is located in a strip mall, near Foodland. The nearest entrance is off of Papalaua Street. Parking? Well, that depends upon when you arrive. It can be scarce during the evening shopping rush / dinner hour. Otherwise you shouldn't have a problem.

Times visited: 1I'll admit I was expecting a little bit more from the Chicken Katsu I ordered in the rice bowl. The portion was very small for the price (across the board they are a bit steep for my liking), the chicken was a bit thin and sad, and I really wish there was just a bit more original bold flavors going on. My dad got the BBQ and feels more or less the same about that entree in a rice bowl as well. After reading the reviews it sounds like paying more for a plate is worth it. I want to come back here at least one more time to get a plate and then I'll update my review. But if I were a new customer I would steer clear of the rice bowls because they seem like they're not complementing the core L&L experience and they certainly weren't giving me the wow factor I was expecting after reading the reviews.Staff were friendly, but this location needs a bit of elbow grease to improve the atmosphere. Feels clean enough but it needs that deep clean to make you feel really comfortable. 4 stars for now.

Wonton saimin soup (10.95) was great with a little sriracha and soy sauce. The wontons were freshly fried and then added. Pretty clean location.
