We swung by twice during our visit looking for their tent, but only saw the religious school and no signage, people, or parked cars which would help us find their shop/tent.

(Pre Covid Review) This was the cutest stand with malasadas being made right there in front of you. There were children manning all parts of it, especially the one taking our order and doing the math to ask us how much money we owed him. They were all so cute and handled the process very professionally. I love small local businesses like these and am happy to support them any time.

It's been a couple years since I've had them, but I still think about this place sometimes. These malasadas were f****** delicious.

Joe and I are so very sorry to hear you are going through challenging times. We hope to see you back stronger then ever serving your delicious Malasadas. The best on the island. We will check back in Sept to see if you are up and running.

So I will travel high and low for good Malasadas. On the west side of Maui, this unassuming family pop-up tent has piping hot, flavor filled right in front of you goodness. Be patient if there's a line since they make it to order. Only eat Malasadas hot! And it is so worth the wait. It's island time, people!

These malasadas are not the most perfect shaped but it's purely amazing! Although after eating two you will feel like you have gallon of oil in your stomach. My tongue and brain loved it at first bite, however my stomach was suffering afterwards because it was so oily. Nevertheless, they were worth the wait and the hapuia filled one was delicious! You do have to eat them quick because once it's cold it's not as good no more. One order of 6 can definitely be shared! This is a one man tent show so be patience and show some Aloha! He loves to chat!

Great family owned business, good malasadas, right in front of Baptist Church, park in dirt lot.

I really wanted to like this place cus supporting local businesses is very important. Guess I had too high of expectations cus I read tons of positive reviews of this place. This is literally a family operation (tent set up at a church). Perhaps I came on an off day. First you order the malasadas and wait for it to be made. The oil seems to be too hot. The malasadas were overdone on the outside and a bit under on the inside. Had the POG, chocolate and plain. $ 15 for 3 fillings and 3 plain. Personally I liked Leonard's more. Still would say come to support the business.

Prepare yourself—this place is the real deal. One barefoot guy under a pop-up tent in a church parking lot serving up pure deliciousness. The owner, Ben, is quite a character; he chatted us up and told fun stories during our wait. He also gave us tons of samples- so much that when our order (prepared fresh right in front of us) was finished we were already getting full. We tried the 1/2 and 1/2 (half sugar, half filled) with Iilikoi, berry, and chocolate. I usually don’t care much for passion fruit, but surprisingly, the lilikoi was by far our fave. Pretty much incredible all around!! We could only get about half of the malasadas down bc we they are so rich and dense. Then we skipped lunch and were still not very hungry for dinner. WOW! Do not miss this awesome treat!

Great Malasadas made fresh! We had haupia, red velvet, mango, and plain Malasadas and they were all great!

BEST MALASADAS, in my opinion! (compared to others I've tried on Oahu) We had to come back multiple times during our trip because they were that good. Something about a huge wok of oil and frying dough just gets me so excited. The owner is super nice and sets up shop next to Lahaina Baptist church. These malasadas are fried to perfection where the outside holds a nice crunch and the inside is somewhat spongey then coated with sugar. And if you're into fillings they've got a variety of options. We tried the lilikoi, chocolate and s'mores flavors which were all delicious but the standard sugar-coated malasadas are my favorite. If you're in the area, get up early because they do sell out and bring cash. Their hours do fluctuate and are limited but I promise you will not regret having these for breakfast or as a snack.
