Food was delicious and service was great, our waitress Jordan was so sweet and checked on us a bunch. Would have given 5 stars but it took about 55 minutes for our salads and appetizers to come out with another 15/20 for food. We were on island time so it didn't bother us as much as it would normally but definitely a long wait for food. You could see the kitchen was swamped though so we were patient. Got a free hula pie for the wait times so big plus there! Will always come back again!

Certainly a popular place to go but locals don't come here at all. They all say the same thing - only item to get is the "Hula Pie", everything else is over priced and under value. This is our second time here, the previous time was over 10 years ago. Manager was quite accommodating when we found our Salad bar was $25 per person! $50 for 2 salad bars! Salad bar was maybe worth the $7 stated on the menu, that price was apparently only for those that also purchased an entree. We ordered 2@ appetizers that said "dinner" on our receipt. Manager reduc ed the price to the $7 and we were grateful. Sorry, we won't be back again. Locals gave us many more suggestions that they said were much better. Hope so.

Came here because everyone recommended this place to be the best on the island. Honestly it wasn't at all! It was just okay, overpriced for sure! $39 for a tiny piece of fish and some rice, way too much! The calamari was pretty tough to chew, didn't like the marinara that came with it at all. The chicken and ribs plate was just okay as well, $29 for a chicken thigh, 2 ribs and some white rice. The only thing we liked was the hula pie, that was good, something different and unique to them. We hoped for a nice table with a view, and we were seated outside but no view! Idk maybe they have tables outdoor under the top deck with a nice view? ‍ Our server was super sweet and nice, made recommendations and was very attentive. But over all for the price and portions I would say, no, try another place.

Awfully rude hostess. No service nor attention from bartenders. Food is expensive, with small portions and tasteless.

We are from Oregon and stayed at the Royal Sonesta for Vacation. Duke's being very close, was an obvious option for dinner our first night. Drinks and food were amazing! We ordered Calamari which was oversized and phenomenal! Our server Kelsey (?) was super nice and encouraged me to try the chili sauce which was so so good! I wasn't feeling the best after a long plane ride so I got salad bar, which was so nice. Lots of options and the plates were chilled. I ordered the Ravioli and roasted veggie entree and tried a few bites before I decided I couldn't eat anymore due to not feeling good. I did eat it later and wow! I was so happy with it, even heated in the microwave. My veggies had the perfect crunch to them Back to Kelsey (?) she was so so nice and attentive to my being lactose intolerant and made sure to warn me of anything. Very good place overall! Loved much!

Really pretty view on the patio, great live music, good service, 5/5 food and dessert.

Beautiful atmosphere, friendly staff and live music! We had a wonderful time sitting in the restaurant while enjoying the view. The day we were there it rained like crazy but we stayed dry and our family of 4 really enjoyed that experience with the restaurant open and the rain just inches from us. The food is good. Not the best meal I had while visiting, but definitely not the worst.

When you tried all other restaurants in Kauai , go to Dukes and have a great meal, and entertainment. The coconut shrimp is the best, I had the filete , coconut shrimp for appetizer and crab wontons, entertainment was good , the ambiance was even better. Oh yeah almost forgot the Lava flow, yum.

This is a beautiful restaurant with stunning views. Live music. Food was ok. The salad bar was the best part of the meal. Our server was somewhat rude. We had questions about the menu and he made us feel like we were being annoying. Paid a lot of money at this restaurant and would expect a waiter to be happy to explain the food items. Also I ordered a virgin drink just for the coconut cup. $20. It came in a short rocks glass. As I explained that I wanted the drink just for the cup, the waiter said they can't do that because I didn't order alcohol. He said I could purchase the cup for an extra $8. I did because I wanted the fancy drink as we were in Hawaii and wanted that feel. As you can see, my $28 slushy only filled half the coconut cup.

Cool venue. Great service. Lousy main course food. Drinks and dessert were good. Stay away from prime rib, tough & bland.

Seated at the balcony... beautiful view of the bay. Servers were polite and attentive and the food was outstanding. My fish was great and my husband raved about the ribs

The food and drinks here are good - not blow your hair back amazing, but still very good. The Korean bbq ribs appetizer and the coconut curry seafood were standouts. What really makes this place is the ambiance. It's just got a very cool vibe inside, really unique and I'd call it "upscale beachy." The server we had was great.

TERRIBLE! ABSOLUTELY NO STARS! But apparently I have to give one to leave a review. I opened a yelp account so I could leave this review. Please read!! I spoke with managers two months ago to have my wedding dinner at their restaurant. I have emails from two managers, Derek and Scott who said that they would sit my family at a "Great table" on my wedding night for dinner. That they would do everything they could to make it special and they would put notes on the reservation to guarantee it. We showed up this evening with our family as newlyweds and Dukes hostess stuck my family in the back of the restaurant with NO ocean view. We were in the exit area as people left the restaurant. Horrible location. Horrible thing to do to a couple in their wedding day who planned a "great" dinner months in advance. When I spoke with the manager she was so useless she had no excuse yet tried to tell me they don't sit big groups up in the front where the ocean view is. Well as you can see in my video the manager lied and clearly they could have put two table together with a beautiful view for a couple on their wedding day as they had other families sitting there. Yet Dukes decided we were not important. After having to ask for the manager two times and then having that useless conversation with her and being treated like white trash on our wedding day I will never go back to Dukes Kaua'i. I would have walked out the second they sat us if I don't have a family there hungry for dinner. Again, they ruined my wedding dinner and no one there but our server cared. So Disappointed!!

My husband and I are staying at the MVC next door. We had lunch at Dukes yesterday and I ordered fish tacos with the corn tortillas. The fish portion was extremely small, less than four ounces. It was served on top of tastes less coleslaw and the salsa also lacked flavor. My husband hamburger was on a scale from 1 to 10 a 5. We were very disappointed . Also, the two kids working as host and hostesses were not very friendly. They acted like they were doing you a favor . Service slow and not very attentive. The person who delivered our food looked like she wasn't happy to be there either. The Hula pie was great though. Prices very high for what you get.
