“Next to the beach. I got the Organic shaved ice. It was a $2 upcharge but so worth it. Instead of just the syrup going on the ice they use fruit puree in the ice. Delish! I recommend having the macadamia nut ice cream at the bottom and the coconut condensed cream drizzled over the top. Yummy yummy!“
“We heard about Puka Dog from Anthony Bourdain's show and we were so excited to try them out. We went in the middle of the week around lunch time and we waited in line for about 15 minutes but we heard sometimes the wait can be about 45 minutes, so just be mindful of a potential wait when you get there. We tried the Kauai dog, the Pineapple Fields dog, and a customized one with the hot chili sauce with the lilikoi mustard. Everything we tried was delicious and well worth the wait. Puka Dog is what I wish normal hot dogs were. Perfected toasted bun and sauce was evenly distributed throughout the dog and delicious polish sausage. Don't get me started on the relish options, my personal favorite was the pineapple relish! It was perfect. We also came back another day to take 2 jars of the lilikoi mustard home and one more puka dog before we left the island. This is not a sit down place, take your Puka dog across the street to Poipu beach and enjoy the views & a tasty dog.“
“Very straight forward menul but the food is delicious! My nephew in Honolulu suggested your place several years ago. We live on the mainland but seek out Bubba's every time we're in town! If I might humbly suggest, grill the onions on your burgers rather than serve them raw. And BTW, your onion rings are AMAZING!“
“Stopped into Costco last night upon landing in Kauai to stock up for the week. We were informed by the checker that the food court and bakery are closed for renovation. We were still able to stock up on treasures in other departments. I thought I would pass the information along so future travelers can plan accordingly.“
