Came here last night on May 1, 2024 at approximately 9:30 PM. The young Lady hostess and the male waiter greeted us with a friendly smile. I took a seat on my table and waited for the food. Took 12 minutes, but it was alright. Got my Tonkotsu Noodles, and the purple drink (Forgot what it was called), but I enjoyed it. The price was a little high, but it was worth it. The Tonkotsu noodles tasted great! The only thing is that the meat was a little burnt, but it was still tasty despite how good the noodles were. The service is great, they just need to hire more workers. The atmosphere is great, and I like how there were old Pictures about Kauai before it became a state. They need to add justa little more furniture to the restaurant.

Food was very good and overall, this restaurant is a great value. We had plenty of leftovers to munch on later! We would eat here again when in the area.

Great local place serving mainly Japanese food. Had the Ramen and my dinner companion has the chicken curry. We shared a side salad. Our food was good and served quickly. Nice portions. Other diner opinions on the menu but the special dishes were good.Parking: Lot is on left if facing restaurant.

Food was delish! What a hidden gem. Had the loco moco with fried rice. Huge portion and I couldn't stop eating it. The gravy was so good! One of my favorite meals I had while on the island. Service was great too. Super friendly folks. Thanks!

Highly recommend Kauai Diner!Food was great, wonderful place for local Hawaiian cuisine. Great value too — portions were very generous! We especially loved the Pork combo platter (the laulau was especially great!) and the scallion pancakes. Our waitress was also very nice and helpful.

This place is BOMB. I ordered the lau lau and kalua pork combo plate, my wife got the donkotsu ramen, and her brother got a veggie ramen. They were all DELICIOUS and SUPER affordable. The servers were super friendly and you could tell that it was just a quiet, unassuming diner that's happy to server whoever walks through their doors. This place is AWESOME, and I think it'll likely be the first place I go when I return to Kauai given how close it is to the airport and how good the food was.

We needed a quick take out before our flight, and we’re so glad we decided on Kauai Diner. Truly excellent food. I got the steamed fish and my wife got the combination plate and both were very happy with the quality and taste

A thoroughly enjoyable local stop, I highly recommend it! The staff is friendly, accommodating, and goes the extra mile. The menu has a surprising breadth of dishes, all of which were delightful. First time I experienced chicken katsu covered by a Japanese curry, and now I want to run back and get it again!

Quaint, local diner with friendly, efficient staff and fantastic food! No A/C and retro vibe. They had SPAM as a meat choice. We loved it! I’d post pictures but I can’t figure out how to. Generous plates of food and spent under $45 for everything!

Our server was very friendly. Order came out fast and was delicious. Great price. Kind of a hole in the wall diner but we loved it. Can’t recommend the food enough.

Loved this place. Everything we had was delicious. Cozy place too with big booths. The service was wonderful. From the steamed fish (amazing), to the kalua pork. Our kids devoured the teriyaki chicken. We loved that they did not serve us in single use plastic anything! They had smaller reusable glasses for the kids and no straws ( ?) & they offered the made in Hawaii fruit juices in cans ??Thank you for caring for beautiful Kauai & helping us tourists take better care of the island by reducing waste. Can’t wait to go back for breakfast!

Loco moco, fried squid, and kailua pork. Delicious! The pork had huge portions and enough meat for 2. Loco moco was on point. Service was great and attentive.
